Thanks a lot for this. I’m a bit relief; though It’s a return ticket from Ireland to London to another country which I want to stay for some days before departing to naija from said country. I did multi-city booking and my UK visa is still very much valid.

Meanwhile, If they didn’t allow me to fly, I’d book another direct ticket to the country from the london airport because I have no other choice. But I hope everything works out to avoid unnecessary money wastage.

Hello house, please can someone with UK valid visa transit via instabul?

I’ve mistakenly booked my return ticket from UK and it’s now done on me that the flight it’s transiting via instabul and I’ve tried to check if I can book evisa but Nigerians ain’t qualified for that.

And their only embassy is in Abuja.

Please has anyone transited via instabul with valid UK visa before?

By God’s Grace, I applied for me and my children and out application is already in process. My daughter will be 14years by next week.

I don’t know if they’ll update the account for Biometrics request on her behalf when she clocks the 14years. Has anyone with kids experienced such too?

I just wished to know so that I’d be on the look out and also get prepared. Though work and school are starting same next week.

Will the airline ask for it because Mine has expired 2 days ago though I’m traveling next week for just one week. I’d wish to know maybe I’d make another travel insurance before traveling so that the airline wouldn’t stop me from boarding.

Is yours tourist or work? Maybe it’s because of your field because they’ve never contacted my company for any of my tourist Visa. Though they’d use CAC website to confirm the company.

I applied through an agent for a UK tourist visa standard and I did my biometric since 18th of October at the Ikeja TLS. My agent keep telling me due to the switch between TLS and vfs that he hasn't gotten any mail up till this moment. Please is any any possibility for such delay?

Hi, Use Blabla Car or FlixBus if you want to explore schengen countries. France and Spain share borders. You can also navigate Portugal from Spain. Eitherways, Flixbus or Blablacar are best options.

From Uk, you can also enter France via Flixbus or Vueling Airlines.

If you are more bothered about stamps, be informed to use Air to fly.

Flights are relatively less around these regions. You can check with expedia

Do not also forget that schengen regions operates open borders.

If you need to use Flixbus from CDG, you can get it through Bercy .

Please note that Ireland runs a separate visa scheme from UK and Schengen. You will need to apply for their visa which might take two months to process. So, DOT Ireland from your adventure for now

Please For those in France, which countries are basically closest to it as I’m planning my trip and wishes to explore other Schengen countries via train as I did when I traveled to some UK countries.

Though id land in London first before flying to France from Ireland or Cardiff wales. I need stamps in my visas as my 2years UK visa is still virgin. I was supposed to travel last month October but didn’t because I wanted to explore France reason I had to put up France visa and I also got that. thanks to God. And it’s cheaper flying via London.

I’m actually doing my research via schengen map and I’m seeing Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands and, Luxembourg but I believe those that reside there or have been there know best so that I’d plan my itinerary well.

I have my Visa already but planning how to spend my days and hotel and train booking.

Mine is strictly vacation. My travel is supposed to be 2nd November but I got sms today for passport pickup and went straight to pick it up.

First Schengen Application but frequent traveler.

I want to spend one week in France and now Enter UK from there for another one week vacation.

I submitted on 18th October and received SMS today for pickup so have to drive down immediately since I was shopping at ShopRite before going to work. It’s same Island.

I don’t know though. I submitted 6 because of my statement, 3 were given back to me and even when I told the lady to include it because of my statement, she said she’ll doing her job and wouldn’t want to loose her job.

I don’t know of other attendants but I believe a policy is a policy though!

You're wrong, I submitted 6months payslip and bank statement during my last application , in fact I have always submitted 6months statement and payslips. They return 3months to some people though

I don go come back sef but I just thought to put it out here. It is my second time applying for and getting a Schengen Visa. My first application was in October 2023 to the same France and I was given One month single entry.
Date of submission on the French Website; 28th September 2024. When I went on TLS to get appointment date, the earliest was 7th October so I booked that. I submitted and did biometrics on the 7th and I got a notification that my passport was ready for collection on the 17th of October at about 10am. Documents submitted;
• Signed visa application form and recent passport photograph.
• Original & copies of biodata page of current passport, plus copies of previous visa.
• Hotel reservations
• Employment letter confirming employment status
• Leave of absence approval
• Letter of introduction from employer
• Last promotion letter
• 6 Months Pay slips
• Marriage Certificate.
• 6 Months Bank statements as evidence of my monthly income and sufficient funds to cover the 120€ daily requirement for the trip.
• Travel insurance valid for the whole Schengen Area for the entire trip
• Travel itinerary including activities planned (appendix 1) and proposed flight details to and from Nigeria.

I don’t know if you’re saying the truth but they can never take 6months pay slips from you. They’ll remove 3 and take only 3. But bank statement yea.

How can one track their application please?

Your dad should address the indicated reasons given in the letter. Simply write a cover letter.

It is either he has more than one wife or he has divorced and remarried a different one between 2014 and now. A cover letter is required to state which is the case.

Also, I know the ECOs sometimes get the figures wrong, but if these given here are correct and your dad truly stated that he earns 3.5m p.a. and wishes to spend 50 m on a business trip being funded by his spouse, you can see how this looks fantastic. Was it that his spouse has a bank statement showing that amount and she indicated that that is what is available to her for her trip? Check the submitted application, verify those figures and make them look realistic. It is possible that your dad might have meant to say that he only draws out x amount from his business annually while its turnover is in multiples justifying the business trip, for instance.

His statement ain’t a problem as it wasn’t indicated as any issue. The issue is just that he needs to include his previous divorce certificate to his ex. Wife and also the new declaration Nothing else.

Hi pertaining the refusal I got a few weeks ago on which cash madam advise I should try other places apart from U.K. since I am been refused 4 times, I just wanna put here the two other refusal that my dad got along side his wife of whom we applied together as a family, we can’t understand why they denied him after traveling to U.K. more than 200 times in the last three decades or so and he is like 80 years of age a frequent business to the U.K.

The problem is not his income nor how much he wishes to spend as all that we’re seen in his statement. The problem is the declaration as maybe he didn’t include the previous marital divorce certificate and also pictures of him and his new spouse to that regards.

It’s not a big deal and thank God UK visa doesn’t take time like Canada own.

He should simply reapply, include divorce certificate with his previous wife and also the new declaration, some lovey dovey pictures with his new wife and the family in happy and merriment moods and back it up with a self Attestation letter explaining more on that simple.

That’s just it and he’s good to go. After submission and biometric , he does be getting his visa within 10days.

I’m the sole sponsor for me and my kids but just need only the documents he’s to give me to attach.

I’ve traveled to many other countries including England and Scotland and currently have 2 years UK visa. But I have not traveled with the kids before reason I do need the invite letter to attach on their behalf.

This is canada visitor section and I believe there is a significant misunderstanding when comparing the visa requirements for the UK and Canada. Canada does not consider the inactivity of a company registration as a primary factor. I sponsored my sister for a student visa, and although the company I work for is inactive on the CAC website, I provided my personal tax clearance. Initially, her visa was refused due to concerns about the source of funds. However, after I explained my additional business activities, provided receipts from my clients, and showed the payments made to my account along with my CAC certificate and tax l paid , her visa was approved on the second attempt.
In my experience, obtaining a UK visit and student visa is relatively very easier compared to Canada visitor visa , where even after presenting all necessary documents, one might still face refusal. Therefore, the emphasis on company inactive is not entirely accurate!

You said you attached CaC and tax receipt so why will they border about that again? Tax is a government payment and it’s only a legal entity that pays it.

If you didn’t attach those, you for have been having same refusal cases.

We’re addressing the guys case and that’s what it entails. Read it clearly and you’d comprehend it’s the same case of inactive status or tax.

Why will an officer see your employment documents and salaries and still claim they don’t believe the genuine source of your income?

Check out this refusal but this is the way UK states theirs as they have different mode of communication and English.

This is from someone I know and I advised the person and now she has gotten 6months Visa within 2weeks of reapplication.

They’d open check on companies in CAC.

Simply work on that and you’re good to go God Willing, Amen 🙏
