I doubt if the phone was truly bought.

I had the means of getting it that was why I didn't bother purchasing it in nigeria.
Damn, this is so wrong of our system then.
I understand if you doubt me, it's human nature to doubt the unknown.

Simple. Go to UPS office along with your tracking details, you'll be directed the NDLEA agents attached with them there in their office. They don't want you to do things over the phone. They want settlement under the assumption you're doing yahoo. Plan to tip them 20k and they'll release your package there and then

Hello guys, please I need your help.

I purchased an iPhone from an iPhone store in the states in January, they sent it through UPS, I tracked the phone online, a week or two after it got to Nigeria, I didn't notice any progress so I went to their office in abuja, I was told that customs in lagos withheld the phone and I should pay approximately 90k as tax, I paid the money at UPS branch in abuja, area 3 to be specific, they scanned and sent the receipt to their lagos branch, after waiting for over a week, I called UPS in lagos because they are the ones in charge of the package, their representative then mailed me today saying my package is with the NDLEA. I called the number the representative sent that I should call, a lady picked and said I should call her back in thirty minutes, it's over an hour and she's yet to take her calls.

I once read a thread where people complained about some postal or courier service workers doing something similar, I've searched for the thread, but can't find it.

Please, how should I go about this?
