Nnamdi Kanu was filmed exchanging a smile with his lawyer in court today, Newspremises reports.

The detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was in court today, Nov. 10, for his trial.

He was brought into the courtroom around 9.52am but the case was adjourned to Jan 19 after Kanu's team of lawyers staged a walkout over the refusal of operatives of the Department of State Services to allow some of them to gain access into the courtroom.

Gunmen on Tuesday night opened fire at Anara Market in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, killing four persons.

While three persons died on the spot, another person who was rushed to a hospital later gave up the ghost.

Eyewitnesses told our correspondent on Wednesday morning that the hoodlums operated in a white Sienna vehicle.

On arrival, the suspects opened fire at a spot where a woman sold cooked food, our correspondent was told by a distraught eyewitness.

One of the eyewitnesses who is an indigene of the community said “they didn’t even come down. They just opened fire in the direction and kept shooting as they drove by. This is very unimaginable.
“Nobody knows the reason for the killing. It has never happened here before. One of the victims is a motorcyclist who came to eat. This is unfortunate. You can see that this whole place is deserted. Many people ran away.”

Another eyewitness told our correspondent that the corpses of three of the persons who died were immediately evacuated on Wednesday morning.

Our correspondent also saw a team of cracked policemen at the crime scene.

When contacted, the police spokesperson for the state, Micheal Abattam, said that the state Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Hussaini, had ordered an investigation into the killings.

2. IPOB declared a sit at home in their Region and it only affects their People in the EAST while Buhari and other Nigerians flex themselves in their various Regions. (IPOB scored own goal)

Today, after our postgraduate lectures in UNIZIK, I and my friend decided to trek from the institution's school of post graduate studies to Bakasi square for a lunch, on getting there, we ordered what to be served to us and to my greatest surprise, the man brought the food with no meat, I called his attention but he insisted that there's meat in the food. So this made me to look closely and I observed a tiny meat in the food I was shocked and short of words at the same time.

Now, this gave rise to several questions running through my mind, is this how bad the country has become?

Something urgent needs to be done before things get out of hand completely.
