Kalulu44:If he doesn't cook it, he's unwise and he will pay dearly for it. Wike is such a pompous person. |
fubsy:If SIM succumb, then, they've played him and he can never resurrect in politics again because Wike will always like to play God, as everything he gets is by his power and not by the assistance of some people. I know Tinubu own is coming soon, when he will say he made him president, as he is saying he made Edo governor to be governor today. My advice, SIM please tread carefully. Ensure you dine with Wike with a very long spoon, as not to see himself as God. |
He knew it would be difficult for him to rig election without the governor's backing but it would be mumu for the governor to play along, as Wike has turned himself to god in Rivers state, forgetting that nothing past God Almighty. This is the reason he is rallying Sim's supporters to his side. If they refused and not play smart on Wike, he will continue to see himself as god, why he is nobody. The oppositions must also be alive to block all loopholes he always used to manipulate the will of the people. Each polling unit should have not less than 10 monitoring agents to say aloof till the votes cast are counted and send to the IREV. It should be operation bomber to bomber and follow-through. Same should be replicated at FCT and other states. Their rigging machine must be punctured. Operation no mercy for election riggers. |
valentineuwakwe:They have in proxy. Professor Sandy Onor is their presidential candidate but Wike has used his personal ambition to undermined the once giant political party. Well, it's never his fault, PDP members all caused it. The time they suppose to suspend him, they were romancing with him, until he outran them through the judiciary. The time they suppose to clip his wing, they refused and now he has become a bone in their throats. Difficult to spit out and can't be swallowed. |
nothingspoil70:Your comment would have made sense if you gave reason to buttress this your comment to show why he is illiterate. Please more enlightenment. |
Jayhome24:Segun has not said anything reasonable at all. It only gel in mind because you've refused to apply common sense. House of assembly was not done same day with presidential election. LP won heavily during the presidential election for the national assembly conducted same day in SE. Juxtapose it with Rivers state presidential election that they claimed Tinubu won. APC had no single elected representative in the state that won that day. I think that should be his concern than SE. |
See confusion of a man. Was the assembly election done the same day with presidential election? The election that was conducted the same day with it was national assembly and LP got substantial number in all the states in SE. See the way the man just used his little brain to confuse many intelligent people here. Let me take you guys back to the same 2023 presidential election. APC was said to have won Rivers state presidential election but had no single senator or house of reps won. I think that should be the one that should be of concern to any sane human being than the south east that voted for LP and still have substantial national assembly members won. |
PlayerMeji:By your analogy, APC won Rivers state but had no single elected representative. What about that? |
Chucks13:I am not a bastard like some people. I know my root and love justice. Debasing people because of their political inclination is the height of insanity on some of you. Rhode is more Lagosian than Tinubu, Fashola, Ambode, Hazmat, Gbajabiala and Sanwoolu put together because he has a lineage that is traceable in Lagos than all the these Atounwa. This tribalistic game that you guys are playing, will become the greatest undoing of some of you in the future, as internet always take stock. |
Diligence:"Could be desperate". My brother, they are fully desperate and are ready to do the unthinkable to get Tinubu to win the election but people must be ready for them at the polls. |
MaziObinnaokija:Please who is "Gbajue"? Until I know who is he, then you now deserve my response. I only engage intellectual people and not those that throw insults like touts and thugs. |
Tjra:Sorry young man, I am not a NDC member, carry your frustration to one corner and rest jejely. Mr. Man, Abacha did worst than this by cornering all the political parties in existence then but what was the result? Read history, it meant to sharpens us. Only a political party that would have over 30 governors and many legislators but still fidgeting and unstable. They should not allow oppositions to breathe, the hungry and angry masses will show them sege during elections. |
dgr8truth:Let me take you on, in your second paragraph you made mentioned very serious issue, let me quote you verbatim. "However, we must also recognise that the most effective and constructive way to hold elected leaders accountable is through the ballot box, sustained civic engagement, and the mobilisation of support for alternative candidates who offer better policies and a more convincing vision for the country". By your submission above, you only mean the only way to hold leaders accountable is through the ballot. Let me ask you, is it when a leader is voted out that you subject him to accountability? Ballot only gives citizens right to only reinforce leadership or change leadership and not a medium to hold them to account at all. You can only hold them to account when you engage them in a lawful manner. Protest is a lawful engagement and is not today that people protest for the ousting of leaders all over the world. They did it for Jonathan and even carry casket for his removal. |
Poverty has spread like wild fire since Tinubu assume office. On PDP not having presidential candidate. Wike has sold the ticket to Tinubu and APC because of his personal ambition. The blind is aware and the deaf is aware. The man brought his Lagos bad politics to the national level by cornering everything to himself, including some oppositions. But one thing is sure, God pass him and he will show himself to him, the way he always do to harden leaders. |
Vision101:His removal of subsidy never deal with those sabotaging the system but only past the problem to the citizens to suffer it young man. While is it difficult for our leaders to arrest and prosecute rich offenders but flex muscles on the poor on the street. Do you know that Tinubu's government still indirectly paying to cushion the effect of rise in fuel price but in a subtle way. Many people have said it but they are mute about it till date. If I may also ask, what kept our refineries till date not working? You remember few months ago, his government paraded loaded vehicles at porthacourt refinery, what happen to that refinery today? Young man, Tinubu government know what they are doing. Just punishing the masses and nothing less. |
PigTormentor:No governor in this country that people doesn't castigate, including Tinubu. Festus Keyamo was among those castigating Tinubu when he was a governor but today who is praising him and attacking people because of him. If you call their backing of him a desperation, then, what will you call the ambition of Tinubu? A sincere one. You must be high in india helm, if you say so. If where there is love and sincerity, Yoruba and the south south suppose to rally in favour of the Igbo candidacy because Yoruba and the south south had tasted the position before in OBJ and Jonathan. So, if you're calling it desperation, it means you're not sincere and untruthful and also hateful towards them. They deserve to vote their person as they've shown love to other region before by voting massively for OBJ, Yara'dua, Jonathan and even Atiku when their own were also on the ballot. Ojukwu was on the ballot and they voted OBJ. Orji Kalu was on the ballot and they massively voted Yara'dua. So calling it desperation is half truth and insincerity on your part. They wholly deserve to rally round their own this time as they cannot continue to be second fiddle in their own country. Hence, better for them to waste their votes in doing what is best for them than wrongly doing what their conscience didn't dictate. Who is more desperate if not Tinubu and his gang of desperados in APC. With his woeful administration that has plucked the country to be world poverty capital and still desperate to go for second term, even when his health is failing him. |
Tell him to his face he is a liar. It's part of politics. |
ElSudani:All of them are wrong. And I did said it when Tinubu removed the subsidy in 2023 on pms. Our country is fuel dependent. Anything that affect oil, affect every goods and services. For good 8 years, they were telling PMB to remove subsidy but he refused and intentionally kept Its removal till the end of his tenure. He knew the impart of removing it on the citizens, that was why he never removed it till he left. If he was active as he was in the 80s, he would have cracked down heavily on the saboteurs but age failed him. And that part of what is affecting Tinubu but their personal ambitions they made supersedes national interests. Instead of them to sponsor effective people that are still vibrant and can deliver, they just want to enjoy the perk of the presidency at the detriment of the nation. |
ElSudani:This country can never move forward with your kind theory of not killing the cancer that is killing the oil sector, which is corruption but just wished to transfer the burden to the citizens to bear. Every serious leader looked into issue and proffer solution that would not compound the already tense situation. This is what you people are missing. |
PigTormentor:It's better to waste vote in doing the right thing than to join the bandwagon in doing the wrong thing. Let them waste their votes by doing what their conscience told them to do, it's never your business. At least those of you that doesn't waste your votes in 2023, we've seen the results. |
ElSudani:This is the same mentality that those in government are carrying and getting it all wrong. Let the corruption in the oil sector be killed. Arrest those shortchanging the system. Make refineries work and empower modular refineries with adequate monitoring. So you know then, that they would bring 30 cargoes and around 10 would be delivered. What happened to the rest? Diverted. What happened to those that diverted the fuel? Nothing and the government will still pay for it. Now, because government reneged on her responsibility, it must be transfer to the citizens. Let the corruption be killed and let the system work. |
ElSudani:My brother, first check the meaning of subsidy before you confuse yourself please. Governments all over the world subsidy goods that they know that are of importance to their citizens and can affect their purchasing power due to its incessant increase. The government come in and give rebate that would be paid for every item. In your analysis above, a reasonable farmer need not wait for government to control what to produce. I am a farmer, I know what to produce at every seasons to fetch me money and not to run at lost. Subsidy is a common policy all over the world please. |
ElSudani:Tinubu is the cause of everyone that their purchasing power have been lowered because the removal of subsidy on fuel which all goods and services dependent on, as the nation is oil dependent, as every increase in the fuel, there is corresponding increase in everything, including the smallest items. Today hardly can you see item of N5 or N10. But before subsidy was removed, you can see sweat of N5 or N10. Tinubu has not come to remedy anything but to throw the nation into world poverty capital and debts. See the amount of debt he has incurred in less than 4 years of his regime cum the accruals from the subsidy removal and you ask, what is the benefit of subsidy removal when debts are still skyrocketing. Until the needful is done by killing or minimally reducing corruption plaguing the oil sector, we will continue going in reverse gear. Tinubu just came to punish the downtrodden and nothing more. |
ElSudani:The bankruptcy was caused by corruption and not because government offered subsidy to her citizens. Nations around the world give subsidy on specific items to cushion effect of high price that will adversely affect their citizens. It's never a new policy all over the world. But our own government virtually seized everything and put her citizens to penury. Mr. Man, no serious leaders do that. They consider the adverse effects and many at times review their reforms. Or are reforms not meant for the citizens? If the reform is affecting the citizens you're doing it for, common sense dictate you should soften the belt and restrategize. Presently the number that have been below the poverty line, you know what it would take to lift them out? That's why a leader must be sensitive to the plight of his people and not adamant. Our problem is not subsidy itself but the corruption that have eaten deep into the system. Some people are even saying if the price of fuel is reduced, people we smuggle it across borders. That words alone is an indictment on the part of the government. It means they cannot safely police their borders and telling the world our borders are porous. We have leaders that only think of themselves but refused to think of the lower cadre that their reforms are bitting and beating. |
PigTormentor:Election was conducted in 2023 but one quack study came out December, 2025. What a mystery! Well, we shall confirm that in 2027 if they truly rigged. Mr. Man, Igbo people will still massively vote for Obi without rigging because they love him. |
frog12:Mike Oginj wasn't the INEC chairman. If he says anything, the final decision lies in the hand of the chairman. Ask Akpabio what he did to him in 2015. Google the story and be informed. If the man is the head of INEC, thing might be better with his approach to free and fair competition. |
All APC rigging macenery must be bursted before the next elections. Enough is enough. The Egyptians you see today, you shall see them no more. APC is an affliction sent to this country and empowered by blind supporters. |
onuman:The oppositions need to rally themselves together to oust this devilish government that take pleasure in the suffering of the citizens. Affliction shall not rise the second time. Tinubu government has become an affliction to hungry and straightforward thinking Nigerians. |
Vision101:If he is reacting to the structural economy, he should have focus in killing the endemic corruption in the oil sector rather than transferring their inadequacies to the citizens. Our problem is never the subsidy itself but the embedded corruption that each government have refused to tackle head-on. You don't put citizens to untold hardship because you wished to dance unpopular reform. The Tinubu reforms are anti people and had plucked the country to world poverty capital. Let us call a spade by its name and stop calling it a spoon. Yes, it looks like but they serve different purposes. |
SonOfDSoil01:This thread is between Tinubu and Atiku but in your characteristic manner you still find way of crawling Obi in because you dread him the most. Meanwhile, I will never reply you on this thread if your comment doesn't focus on the thread topic. Know this and be at peace because the rule of the forum is don't derail thread. That's how some of you fail simple exam. |
emkz:Young man, did you read the piece at all. It's all part of his campaign because he finally reel out what he will do pertaining the subsidy. It wasn't a blanket attack, he also made mentioned of his plan on the subsidy. Please learn to read and assimilate, as to avoid this kind reply from you. |
ElSudani:Even if he doesn't become president, he is speaking the reality or do you wished to tell us that citizens are not suffering? No serious government doing any reform and the reform is dipping more than half of the population into poverty and penury, common sense dictate that such leader need to review the reform to meet the needs of the people the reform aimed to benefit. You can't be so adamant in any reform why millions of your citizens are wallowing in poverty. It makes no sense. You know how much it would take to left those below the poverty line out, then, you now ask, what is the essence of the reform? |

Atiku, Tinubu go still humble you come 2027
