EducationJAMB Warns Candidates Against Coming To Exam Venue With Bags And Wrong E-slips by godspower91(op): 7:45am On Mar 01, 2016
The joint Admission and Matriculation Board has warned candidates against coming to the examination hall with personal items other than their e-slips and Biros.

According to Dr. Beatrice Okorie, head of the Lagos annex of the board, the instruction was clearly stated on the candidates’ e-slips, yet many of them still came to the hall with their bags and phones and had to be sent back to go and drop those items.

Also it was discovered that many candidates came to the venue with the wrong e-slip.

These set of candidates were sent away as well to go and bring the reprinted e-slip.

“Before the examination commenced, the candidates were supposed to re-print their e-registration slips because the first one does not contain their centre and examination numbers. That was why some who did not were told to go and re-print the correct one,” she said.

EducationJAMB Condemns Fee Charged By Institutions For Change Of Course by godspower91(op): 1:07pm On Feb 16, 2016
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has described as illegal the amount of money charged by institutions as change of course fee

This was disclosed by the Head of Media and Information of the board, Dr. Fabian Benjamin in a chat with newsmen.

According to him, once a candidate registers for UTME he/she automatically becomes an applicant in all the over 300 tertiary institutions in the country.
He further stressed that this was part of the reason JAMB made provision for one preferred university, one polytechnic and one college of education in their application forms so as to broaden their chances of securing admission at any level.

Concerning the readiness of JAMB for this year’s UTME, he stated that the board would not leave any stone unturned to conduct a hitch-free exam far better than the last edition.

Meanwhile, for candidates who would like to effect changes in either their courses or institutions, you will be able to do that after you have sat for the exam and your result released. For more information on how you can do that, please visit this link: JAMB Change of Course/Institution

Educational ServicesBenefits Of Examination Cheats by godspower91(op): 7:37am On Feb 09, 2016
It’s very important to teach you the benefits of cheating (EXPO) in the examination. Who would encourage cheating in the examination? sometimes it’s worth doing, depending on the situation you find yourself.

EXPO like we locally call it are those materials (electronic, paper type) which we take into the examination hall, to assist us. They help us to solve the most difficult questions we couldn’t read or learn by ourselves.
There are sure PROs and CONs involved in taking these materials for assistance in the examination hall. For those students still thinking about giving it a try, it will be worth it for some reason’s but first of all check the good and bad side effects of it. Here we go;

Exam Cheats (PROs)

If you copy the work of others—whether the Internet or copying the answers of another student—it results in not having to work very hard for a passing or even better grade. Cheating is like getting something for nothing.
Cheating on a test/exam can result in getting a top grade in class, even if you didn’t study or don’t understand the text.Read more here>>>>>>>http://africademia.com/2016/02/05/benefits-of-cheating-in-the-exam/
EducationTips To Writing A Good And Quality Assignment by godspower91(op): 1:11pm On Feb 08, 2016
Assignment is one of the key things to look out to, if you really want to make good grades in school. A lot of students neglect this and some pay less attention when an issue like assignment comes up, the resultant effect been late submission and unclean work which ends striking your end point negative.

If you really want to make good grades in school then you must know how to compile your assignments. These tips should you consider as a guide to writing a good assignment.

Understanding the questions: This comes first in any assignment you’re given, because understanding the question should be the first step in doing a great job. The question should now be, how do you make sure you have fully understood the question? Make sure you ask your teacher or lecturer to explain what he/she is expecting from you, if that isn’t enough you can also ask your friends who are more enlightened to help out before you can continue. When you’ve now fully understood the question, the next step is to note it down your own way.

Noting the key words in the assignment: By jotting it down in your paper, this will give you directions on what is expected of you, for instance, if you are asked to ‘Critically Appraise Goodluck Jonathan Administration 2011-2015‘ your main focus should be on what the Goodluck Jonathan administration has achieved over the period of years stated and areas he has not gotten right. With these you have a direction on what you are doing. Read more follow these link http://africademia.com/2016/01/29/how-to-write-a-good-and-quality-assignment/
