The All Progressives Congress (APC) seems to have jettisoned the recommendation of its committee on the Ondo governorship primaries as it has sent the name of its governorship candidate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The party sent the name of the winner of its primary election in the state, Rotimi Akeredolu to INEC.

The committee had recommended that the exercise be done again following the level of complaints by some of the other aspirants on the party platform.
But the APC, through its national organising secretary, Senator Osita Izunaso, sent the name of the former president of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) on Thursday, September 22 and this was confirmed by Akeredolu.

The name was submitted late Thursday after the national chairman of the party and the national secretary, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun and Mai Mala Buni, respectively endorsed the INEC form as required.
