I don't think he's running a monopoly nor does he intend to run one. Are you aware he first slashed the pump price before the NNPCL? Despite the latter following suit, it took them a month before implementing it. Recently, they said they can't sustain it but dangote never said anything. Dangote didn't stop PHC and other refineries from operating, the way he cannot stop other investors like BUA whose refineries will be on stream any moment. It's the NNPCL that's rather playing the role of a Monopoly in this case The truth is, the fed govt is milking the masses through the NNPCL. I hope by the time other refineries are completed, they'd not treat them same way.
I believe in Dangote and want him to succeed but Dangote MUST have competition.

At the same time, scarcity must be averted via overdependence and overreliance on Dangote.

I have no problem with NNPC importing despite how dramatic the headlines might be.

That's everyone's wish. But not the way the NNPCL is acting rn. Are you aware dangote has been boxed to a corner? He said he could meet local petrol needs but the NNPCL kicked. Dangote even showed the public all the statistical data but the NNPCL went ahead and said they'd appoint 3 importers of petrol. This was before the take-off of the phc blending facility and dangote went to secure a court order to stop NNPCL cos they had an agreement. You can't tell me not to sell at a reduced price to the suffering public as instructed and still say I shouldn't serve the same market fully. Dangote isn't allowed to operate at full capacity. Even though the reason isn't made public, you and I know why. Read TheNation Newspaper, yesterday's edition for the recent development.

The high fuel price was supposed to favour dangote but the NNPCL is taking a chunk of it otherwise, pump price would have been as low as 600 naira as planned before August 2024 by dangote. Some investors now advised dangote to withdraw the court order which he did, cos the fed govt is more powerful than any Individual. I'm sure you followed all these as well. The imported products are used to feed phc refinery for blending.
Nobody would give Dangote Monopoly.

He may have detractors yes, but he would not be allowed to run a Monopoly.

Nigerian politicians can never be caught aiding corruption elsewhere to improve this country because they don't even believe in this country in the first place. Whenever you want to draw an analogy, be smart about it.

Golan007 will never see anything reasonable in your submission, especially, if it doesn't go in tandem with his mentors' corrupt and deceitful practices, even though his conscience will be telling him what he's saying isn't right. The phc refineries is only blending, not refining and I said it immediately after take-off.

Dangote will burst their bubbles with further price reduction soonest and let's see if the NNPCL will be able to match that with their imported products, which they are now blending. Remember they said the reduced price wasn't sustainable recently? Why copying Dangote when you know you'd run at a loss if you don't make up for the imported price difference ultimately? Just watch and see the drama as it unfolds. One thing is certain,

Nigeria will continue to suffer a decline in growth and development as long as these guys are in power. Our position of 4th largest economy in africa today is enough to proof were not moving forward. It's a padi-padi style of government who.doesmt give a damn if the masses are dying or not. You can't hide lies forever.
I want Dangote to flood the market just as much as anyone.

If Dangote has no rival, HE WOULD NOT.

Oga that is not true. You have been trying to cleverly dodge the transparency situation in NNPC and the refineries. Oga this format is stale bro. you cannot compare US with Nigeria, even in terms of demand you still cannot compare
But USA produces more oil than any other country.

Oga go and read my comments and i explained why US imports. Again you don't use US when it is convenient for you to justify your BS. The contention is this why is NNPC not transparent with it Petrol imports despite the fact that they told us that as the refineries are working demand for imports will drastically reduce. Importing that huge number in a day does show that imports have reduced.
Try not to gaslight and play smart... it is not your forte.
Any reason why US can import refined petroleum products is tenable in Nigeria.

Enough of always seeing your own country with suspicion.

Importation is not illegal.

If you have funds, please import.

This is how Hitler happened. Those of you hailing Trump for destroying the very fabric American moral leadership because it feeds your biases will one day be at the receiving end of his wicked policies. It's still morning. Let's see how it pans out.
Even Musk gave a Sieg Heil right before our eyes. They said no.

The following week, he told a Nazi German Party that Germans should forget the guilt of the past.

Trump has said he would move White South Africans to US, Bribery is now acceptable, Canada should become the 51st state, Greenland should be taken, Gaza should be evacuated and made a real estate for America

And people are hailing .

I swear, maybe one just has to be a demon.

No one is gaslighting.

NNPC would never come to the media to say, this month we are purchasing Biros, next month we would buy kerosene.
They have business analysts and technocrat who would make decisions based on stats, the market, key indicators, and dexterity of the management board.

Refined Petroleum products are not Akara.

The country MUST make decisions to produce, procure, store, sell, even at a loss, if necessary.

Yes, it's the fault of your useless country. It's not the fault of American government. It's the fault of Trump that you decided to have a shithole country. In a serious country, there are standards and everything that happens there must stick to the rules or you face the consequences.
Yup.

America is blameless.

Bribery should be allowed, and only the receiver should be guilty.

I then rebutted by asking why USA, which can meet global demands, imports same.
