Engaging Students to explore a distant Land

About the program
“The Golden Learning Tour” is a seasonal group tour that involves the participation of academic students from various schools in Nigeria to visit Ghana for educational tour with their entourage (Tour management personnel and Guardians). The Program will feature various refreshing activities such as sightseeing, cultural display, learning, mental & physical exercises.

About The Destination Ghana
Ghana was the first place in sub-Saharan Africa where Europeans arrived to trade - first in gold, later in slaves. It was also the first black African nation in the region to achieve independence from a colonial power.
In 1957, Ghana (formerly known as the Gold Coast) became the first country in sub-Saharan Africa to gain independence. After leading the country for nine years, the nation's founding president, Kwame Nkrumah was overthrown in a coup d'etat in 1966. After Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana was ruled by a series of military despots with intermittent experiments with democratic rule, most of which were curtailed by military takeovers. The latest and most enduring democratic experiment started in 1992 and it is what has gained recognition for Ghana as a leading democracy in Africa.
The Purpose of visit
To explore the Ghanaians rich cultural heritage and environment impact in productivity level.

Tour Duration

It is a five-day learning tour to Ghana, scheduled to hold from 4th – 8th August, 2013. The tour will feature trips to 13 exciting tourist sites in Ghana, and offer opportunities for the participants to enhance their knowledge about the country.

Benefit to Participants
Students who partake in this meaningful exercise will improve their learning skills as the tour would help to diversify the participants’ perception towards life and enhance their level of thinking and ability to learn.


Target (Participants)
This program is aimed at attracting able teenagers both male and female between the ages of ten (10) years and above, they must be students and also citizens of Nigeria.

Requirements/ Eligibility
1. Young Adult (Male or Female)
2. Age (10 years & above)
3. A Valid international passport or ECOWAS passport or Student ID card.
4. Two passport size photograph
5. Parents/ Guardian consent and approval letter
6. A duly completed registration form
7. Registration fee N 60, 000 per person
