I think it depends on the type of peel and the strength. I have used Lactic Acid peels and Salicylic Acid peels and I personally prefer Salicylic --its better for oily skin, and for Black/African skin types. Best if u use it as part of a skin regimen--and sunscreen is a must. |

Light to medium chemical peels can also be used to get rid of hyperpigmentation---but you have to use sunblock on yor face thereafter |
