Qassem Suleimani was killed in a drone strike by former POTUS Trump. Trump may not have started any wars when he was the POTUS but he was not exactly a peace time president like so many people say he was.
Trump did some things that were not exactly peaceful. He sent a drone to Iran to kill Suleimani, scrapped the Iran Deal and reimposed sanctions, rolled back trade and diplomatic ties with Cuba and was the first president to support Israeli Settlements in the Occupied Territories, he made on people from certain Muslim Nations from entering the USA and was involved in the 1/6 Riots. He says if he becomes president again, he'll invade Mexico. He said Mexican Men are rapists. He separated illegal immigrant children from their families.

Israel's war in Gaza will not weaken Hamas, in fact, the war will strengthen Hamas. It is very much like the Coalition Forces war in Afghanistan that lasted twice as long as Russia's war there. Many Afghans resent the Taliban but the war caused more people to support them.
Israel does the same thing the US and many of its other allies do in war zones.
After the Gulf War ended and before the Iraq War started, the US and UK bombed Iraq from the No Fly Zones and destroyed Iraq's infrastructure and water supply. The UN's Oil For Food Program restricted the amount of food Iraq could get and that led to starvation of the masses.
Israel is much closer to committing genocide than its allies are. Gaza is a much smaller area than Iraq, Afghanistan or Syria and has a much smaller population. Israel is blocking food, water and other aid from reaching Gaza. Many people there are drinking seawater to survive, that is the only water they can drink.
