Hello everyone, I just got this conditional offer from Lincoln university now with 3 points highlighted ln the attached screenshot.

I am so much worried about point 1, all my certificates carry 05/05/1991 dob and I also have my birth certicate. Only my waec result carries 05/05/1990 and i have an affidavit from magistrate court to flag the error on my waec certificate.

I also got an unconditional offer from greenwich university with same documents and i am planning to pay their deposit, but I really want this lincoln due to cheaper tuition fee.

My real concern is this, it was stated on lincoln offer that ukvi will not accept affidavit and they will deny visa application. Even if i proceed with with greenwich since i have unconditional offer with them, I could still face same problem when applying visa.

I am just confused as to what to do now. I currently reside and work in dubai and all my certificates are with me here in dubai. My parents will be going to waec office tomorrow with scanned copies of my certificate and birth certificate to see what can be done.

Please is there any issues attaching affidavit to back up dob error during visa application? Because i feel like dropping lincoln and proceed with greenwich, but this visa concern i saw today has given me set back. I might even need to hold payment my deposit for greenwich now

Since you're going for Sept 2023, you should worry less. IELTS score takes 14 days after the exam I think. You can also push forward with the WAEC dob change if you wish. I have never done such so I can't tell how hard or easy it is.

2. Ensure you provide other documents to proof your relationship is substantial.You shouldn't submit only your marriage certificate, add documents such as pictures, chats, bills and other things paid together, holiday trips etc for the number of years you have known each other.
