Programming › How To Get A D-U-N-S Number In Nigeria For Mobile App Deployment by GoodBoi1(op): 6:02pm On Dec 14, 2025*. Modified: 9:37pm On Dec 14, 2025 |
Several developers and startup founders in Nigeria are being exploited simply because they don’t know how easy it is to get a D-U-N-S Number. Some individuals spread misinformation to take advantage of developers, then charge ₦100,000 or close to it to “help” you get it faster. This is wrong and unethical.
DO NOT PAY THEM, NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE. Getting a D-U-N-S Number is a free process. Anyone charging outrageous amounts is taking advantage of your urgency and lack of information. This kind of extortion should not be encouraged.
That said, if someone insists on charging for “assistance,” be aware that there is no real work involved beyond knowing the correct link and steps. At most, such help should be very cheap. Anything beyond that is pure exploitation.
Why Mobile App Developers Need It
To deploy a mobile app, especially on Apple’s App Store under a company you need a D-U-N-S Number. Apple uses it to verify your business before approving an organization developer account.
The Application Process (Nigeria-Friendly)
First, ensure you have an Apple ID, which is required for developers in Africa.
Next, visit the page to look up if you already have a D-U-N-S number, developer.apple.com/enroll/duns-lookup/ . Even if you don't have a D-U-N-S Number just fill your correct details and submit the form. Apple will check if a D-U-N-S Number already exists for your business.
If none is found, you’ll be asked to fill a business information form, which is then forwarded to Dun & Bradstreet.
What Happens After Submission
Within 24–48 working hours, Dun & Bradstreet usually contacts you via email with a document requesting detailed business information. Fill it accurately and send it back.No payment involved.
A few days later, you’ll receive a confirmation email containing your D-U-N-S Number.
Very Important Note
You may receive calls or emails encouraging you to pay in naira or dollars for faster processing. Ignore them. These offers are unnecessary and unethical. The D-U-N-S Number is issued 100% FREE, and the normal process can take about a week.
Anyone charging ₦100k or more to help you get a D-U-N-S Number knows exactly what they’re doing and it’s wrong. Don’t let urgency push you into being exploited. With patience and the right steps, you can get your D-U-N-S Number for free and move forward with your mobile app deployment confidently. |

My experience with this Airtel unlimited plan on 5G router is that it is manageable but not reliable. Network is down in the afternoon, on a week day, restarted router but I keep getting "Sign in to Airtel network" message. |

daclemx: DON'T BUY AIRTEL. I AM TELLING YOU FOR FREE. I AM WRITING THIS FROM MY LAPTOP. I WOULD HAVE SENT YOU SCREENSHOTS OF SPEED AND THE DEVICE ITSELF IF I WAS USING MY PHONE. THE WORST 60K EVER SPENT. I BOUGHT MINE FROM AIRTEL OFFICE AT SHOPRITE. I think before anyone buys the Airtel 5G router , they should first use an Airtel SIM on phone to know the state of Airtel network their area. That's what I did and I saw the speed was manageable for Nigeria 4G, I was getting up to 30mbps. I bought the 5G router and it even connected to 5G network. Still testing it, so far it has been good. The speed hovers around around 20mbps sometimes but it gets as high as 60mbps. |

And the fact that, they can even give you up to three or four months grace , if things are rough for you to source for funds , it’s a no brainner 😊😊😊 Actually, at the bottom of the invoice, it is said to be about a month before service is suspended if payment has not been made. |

Nteogwuija: Pls, guys. For someone living on the ground floor of a three storey rented building that can't have access to the roof, what position is advisable for mounting? You can position your dish on a place where it can get a clear view of the north axis while pointing to a clear view of the sky. |

Valto: yes i have something even cheaper, made with JK Bluetooth bms and JK 3.2inch display, real capacity 7.168kwh Interesting. What about the efficiency? Does it give close to 7.1kwh? That is what made me to just buy bluetti, because I will be sure of the capacity. I have a locally made power station but I don't even get half of the rated capacity. |

SourYoghurt: Oh that's nice then. So I saw 450k+ as the final charge, is that the exact amount that'll be taken from my account or it'll be 450k+ / current USD rate? You will be charged the naira amount you see on starlink website not any usd rate |

brightk: ok..
i tried something during activation.. in my place of resident, if i use my kit no with my address in my neighourbood i would only see the 50k plan. but if i choose my state the residential plan will come out.. for example my street is
giwa-amu road, warri, Delta, nigeria... this will give me 50k plan
if i choose Delta state, Nigeria... i would end up with the 38k residential plan
what are your opinions guys Maybe choose your state and activate residential. After activating residential, change the address after some time to your location. You should still be on residential plan after changing it. |
