1.root the phone
2.install xpose zip
3.ABS tweaks (tweak it to get the best juice out of the phone,)
4.install ram expandeder
All these made the phone wonderful, the speed could be compared to my friend's Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The phone hangs like hell, but I received a firmware update yesterday , maybe that will curb the hanging stuff, who have also received the update, I have downloaded mine but i not installed it.

The Tecno W4 is very stubborn device when it comes to rooting, because the popular and easiest apps such as Kingroot, Vroot, Framaroot, Tecnoroot, Rootgenius etc., are not working for it. The below tutorial will guide the Tecno W4 users to Root and change the IMEI of their Smartphone.

Important Notice
After rooting your phone, it’s advisable to unroot before performing an OTA update or restoring factoring settings. We have a comprehensive guide on that here.

Materials Needed For Rooting
» PC with internet connection
» USB Cable
» SP Flash Tool - Download it Here
» SuperSU.zip - Download it Here
» TWRP for Tecno W4 - Download it Here

To Root Tecno W4
» Save the SuperSU.zip that you downloaded to your phone's SD card
» Unzip the TWRP zip file that you downloaded and flash the recovery image to the phone using SP Flash Tool

» Now, boot your phone into TWRP Recovery Mode (by Holding the Vol Up and Power button simultaneously for 5 seconds)
» In TWRP Recovery, Choose install zip from SD card - to choose a zip from SD card use Vol up and down scroll up and down, then choose the Supersu.zip file from the root of your SD card.
Scroll to yes and install, after a successful flashing go back and reboot.

It is simple as that. You may download Root Checker from Play Store to verify your root privileges. After downloading, simply Install Root Checker, run it and you should get a success message after then.

How To Change Your Tecno W4 IMEI
In this method, we are going to use an application called Chamelephon. It's simple and short for those who are new to this. Simply follow the steps carefully. No need of CDS information or engineering mode at all.

1. Download Chamelephon.apk here
2. Open Chamelephon and grant it superuser access permission

3. The first box is for the IMEI of the sim 1, if you are using a dual sim phone. And the second box for Sim 2.


4. Input the IMEI number you wish to change to in any of the boxes. Simply leave any of the boxes you did not wish to change as the way you met it.
5. Then click Apply New IMEIs.
6. A popup box will ask “Do you confirm changing the IMEIs?” Click on Change button.



7. Close everything and restart your phone or put it in Airplane mode for 5 seconds before you back it to normal mode, then dial *#06# to view your new IMEIs.

easy wizzy change ur settings go to all settings mobile network click on airtel then acces point then click on airtel create a new acces point with name: airtel apn :internet.ng.airtel.com. username internet then save
