I guess this was to see my immigration history but I am not very sure.
He typed for less than one minute and told me to pick up in a week.

I did the physical interview today. It was successful and I still don't know why I wasn't qualified for the Dropbox. All the same, It was approved and that is what matters.

The VO said I should get my passport latest in one week. I have a flight in exactly one week but it is evening so I will take my chances. Even if I get the passport in the morning, I can still fly same day.

Please what questions were you asked during the interview

Hey 🤠

1. The F1-VISA denial was the major cause for your IW denial.

2. One of the conditions to be eligible for IW is that you must never have been refused a VISA before.

3. If you have had no reason for the F1-VISA and waited for your B1-B2 VISA to expired then it would have been a continuous IW for you but unfortunately the f1 denial has erased your IW opportunity.

4. Your next F1-VISA interview henceforth must be booked as normal because you cannot even cross from one visa type to another in IW.

5. If you are successful with your upcoming F1-VISA then your next renewal after expiration would be IW (if need be for you to renew).

But the interview I’m going for now is for b1/b2 of which I did not qualify for the IW..
And what can be the likely questions to be asked

I’m a final year student, my parents will be sponsoring the trip….and the reason for renewal of the visa is to go for another vacation

I traveled in 2018 with my parents using a b1/b2 visa for vacation, i wasn’t 18 then when i went for the interview, my parents had to follow me in for the interview, when i got back, i applied and appeared personally for an F1 visa in 2019, which was denied…even though i still had the b1/b2visa valid for 6 more months.. which I could have decided to go back to the US after the F1 denial(I was above 18 here already)..but i didn’t till the b1/b2 expired…
In 2022.. I did a Dropbox application for renewal of the b1/b2 visa with my parents…..after sometime, theirs came back approved and mine came with a 221g denial with the option( you do not qualify for interview waiver….i must schedule an interview appointment) ticked…..
My question is that what can be the reason for this and my scheduled interview is coming up in a few months, what can be the likely questions to be expected?
