ElevationD: If a Yoruba representative cannot emerge in Enugu or Imo, who would you blame? You hypocrites in this country can never have peace of mind. While you shout xenophobia in South Africa, you engineer and maintain the same xenophobia inside your own country.
You are the ones who victimize others and claim to be the victims. Confused people.
While you complain that Igbos hold political positions in Yoruba land, you pretend not to know that there are Yorubas in political positions in Western countries. They are citizens of those countries and no one discriminates against them, on either the basis of their names or skin.
While the President of our country happily rewards those who worked with him to get to the position, your fickle mind has not allowed you know that those rewarded would have played roles to get the man to power. If the President does it, just like Wike, what stops others from doing the same?
By the way, the party involved is not your beloved APC. That’s not the only party open to contest such positions in Lagos state. So if his people supported him and he won, you expected him to reward APC members and your like, who voted on the basis of tribalism and religion.
Your little mind should have told you that Oshodi/Isolo is not all about Yorubas or Oshodi bus stop, where your beloved agberos and touts control. That LG covers the whole of the aforementioned area, including Ajao estate, Ire akari, Okota/Ago and Isolo, which areas are dominated by moderate and very decent Yorubas. They have lived peacefully with every other tribe for uncountable years. Those areas are dominated by people of different tribes and not the Yorubas. The area, including Ajeromi/Ifelodun, Ojo, etc, are not APC dominated areas. Ojo fell into the hands of APC in 2019 owing to the selfish performance of the then PDP people.
When people like you talk tribalism, think first. Youths like you have your minds muddled up by politicians. All Nigerians are free to contest elections anywhere that they please, if the are popular there. Our constitution guarantees that. If your people cannot contest elections outside their tribal territories, then they must check themselves. It means that they have issues mingling with others.
That’s how most of you who have not ventured beyond 7up toll gate, not to talk of Shagamu, come here to discuss what happens in other states, with no knowledge at all. You talk of river Niger and Anambra state , not knowing the location of River Niger, not to talk of the state where you have never visited.
If you lot want Nigeria to remain, then let others have peace. If not, you can all speed up the break up process and let others have their peace of mind. Did Yoruba colonize ibos like England colonized Nigeria. Why should ibos hold political offices in Yorubaland but Ibos cannot allow a Fulani man contest for elections in Anambra or Abia state. You people are factory fitted with gaslighting behaviors. Lmao. |

Did Ahmadu Bello not warn you all. Did Akintola not warn you all.

Atiku would be regretting ever taking Obi out of backward Anambra in 2019. Atiku did not learn his lesson, and they brought Obi the "divider-in-chief" into ADC again in 2026. But still, ADC would get more votes than NDC. |

DeOTR: Computer Engineering is not all about hardware. I'm not supposed to be telling you this since you said you studied the course, but then I don't know the course outline they use where you studied. Where did I say it was all about hardware? Or did anyone tell you its only hardware they deal with in Samsung or AMD? Infact, Electrical/Electronics Engineers also do software/programming. My point is why study computer engineering when you can study Elect Elect. Computer Engr. itself is a specialization of Elect Elect degree. Why specialize and limit yourself from undergraduate? |
Education › Re: Is Computer Engineering A Good Course To Study In Nigeria by Goodvibes007: 10:48pm On Apr 30 |
rottenPussy: I would say study electrical engineering, then pivot to computer engineering for your postgraduate. Reason being that electrical engineering is by far the most immune career to AI, and computer engineering is only a subsection of electrical engineering. I somehow missed this post. This is exactly my point. Why narrow yourself to a specialization from undergrad when you can still practice as a computer engineer with a Elect Elec degree..., but vice versa won't be possible. A good example, instead of studying chemical engineering, you decide to study petroleum engineering. A vacancy for a petroleum engineer would still allow those with degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering e.t.c to apply. What now happens when there is a bad economy and petrolleum engineering jobs are scarce. How easy would it be for a petroleum engineering graduate to pivot? |
Education › Re: Is Computer Engineering A Good Course To Study In Nigeria by Goodvibes007: 10:31pm On Apr 30 |
captainbangz: For undergrad, do EEE instead. You'll thank me later. 💯 For similar level of academic stress, better to go EEE and have access to more opportunities when one graduates. With EEE, a graduate can still get computer engineering jobs easily. |

CodeTemplar: average 2026 car has over a dozen computers in them. Computer is not only PC or laptop or tablet. Anything that performs computation is a computer. There was mechanical computer before electronic ones emerged. Your brain is biological one. And Electrical/Electronics Engineers can still apply for any computer engineering job. So, whats your point exactly? However, computer engr graduates applications would get bounced for a lot of other jobs that Electrical/Electronics engr graduates would still be eligible for. It seems I got all these computer engineering graduates triggered. Sorry oo. I don't mean to |

Vision247: I was thinking it's B.ENG not BSc... B.ENg and B.sc , no difference. If it is MENg and MSc, then there is difference. Most universities wont accept MENG for PhD. They see them as taught masters degree and not a masters degree with research component, and PhD are hot cake now due to AI. Lots of Machine Learning jobs often require PhD in engineering nowadays. |
Education › Re: Is Computer Engineering A Good Course To Study In Nigeria by Goodvibes007: 8:47pm On Apr 30 |
Flangelo12: Nobody is going to rule you out because you studied "computer engineering ". If I post a vacancy for an entry level computer engineer ing role, high chances the courses I would include to apply will be BSc. Electrical/Electronics, Engineering Physics (if i remember), Computer Engineering (if I remember) . Yes, an Electrical or Engr physicist can do whatever a computer engineer can do. But that elect/elect, it would be number 1 on the list. Computer engineering is a specialization, and I wont advise people to specialize from BSc.

Flangelo12: Let me educate others, if you may.
First, every graduate has to think big and global.
Your phone is a computer.
Electric care are computers.
Robots are powered by a single brain box z guess what it is?
Bingo.
If you would elevate your mind, you'll understand what I'm saying. You are not getting it still. Petroleum Engr is a course of study under Chemical ne lingering Transport, Municipal, structural, Environmental engr. Etc. Are course under civil engineering. Network engr., computer engr, T&Distribution, Micro electronics e.t.c are course under Electrical Electronics. Why narrow yourself from a BSc degree when you can get a more versatile course like Elect, then do a Masters in computer if that is what you love. Anyway, I am returning to work. Goodluck to the OP. |

Flangelo12: While chatting from a device that is a computer.
The joke is on you. Yeah. My colleagues working in Samsung and AMD hold degrees in Electrical/Electronics not Computer Engineering. My point is that you don't need a degree in computer engineering to work as a computer engineer. Go for a more general course that makes you more versatile and open more doors of opportunities. Don't narrow yourself to computer engineering from the get go, which some universities even still classify as a course under Elect/Elct. |

I can't remember when I saw an Engineering vacancy specifically asking for computer engineer degree. It would likely be advertised as a job for Electrical/Electronics Engineers.
For a standard organization, ATS filter would likely screen you out, even before you make it to an interview. |

His father has questions to answer.
1. Peter Obi rejected #700m monthly pension as Ex Governor.
2. Peter Obi rejected lands given to Ex Governors as part of their entitlements.
3. Peter Obi rejected #500m House & Furniture Allowance as Chairman of Security & Exchange Commission, SEC, Abuja 2015.
4. Peter Obi rejected $1m dollars as prize money for being the First & Best Governor to achieve the 2020 Millennium Development Goals, MDGs.
5. Peter Obi rejected the offer of an Oil Well, one of the reasons Nigerian Politicians k!ll to attain Abuja Status.
6. Peter Obi rejected the allocation of millions of naira for the set up of office of the First Lady. Insisting that his wife was not an elected official
7. Peter Obi rejected the proposal to share the State annual budget on percentage with the State House of Assembly leading to his first unlawful impeachment.
8. Peter Obi handed over about #75bn in cash & assets after 8yrs as Governor, rejecting to convert it to personal use like other Governors did.

Ambode can spot fake Love from million miles.
The dichotomy btw Yorubas and Igbo started in Lagos in 2015 election when they backed Jimi Agbaje in Ambode versus Jimi Agbaje.
Infact, they all supported PDP when they scored Ambode F9 parralel in 2018. How they suddenly become Ambode lovers is what I dont understand They will always support the opposite of whoever the indigenes support. They dumped GRV the moment they started lying to themselves that Seyi's wife is Ibo when she is actually Lebanese/Tiv. No other ethnic group living in Lagos does that weird behavior except them. They have started meddling in Ibadan politics too with their recent press conference about backing Seyi Makinde over the Olubadan's choice.
