GET RID OF EMERY
Once more, Arsenal put in an impressively spineless display against a recently promoted side.

We went from boring, boring Arsenal to Wengerball and now to this monstrosity, Emery regers to as his gameplan.

We had defensive issues under Arsene Wenger, but at least there was some kind of harmonious plan to attack. We knew we would have consistency in our playing pattern.

Under Unai Emery, we also have defensive problems, and in terms of attacking or creating opportunities...

MATCH PREVIEW VS SHEFFIELD UNITED : TIERNEY STARTS

Arsenal heads to Sheffield in Gameweek Nine after an unbeaten eight-game run before the international break.

Arsenal currently holds third place at the moment but its still an unsecured position because a loss would drop us to the 8th position. Then again, a win could see us climb Man City, as we’re just a single point behind them.

On the other hand, Sheffield United...

Guendouzi: a star is born

Matteo Guendouzi arrived at Arsenal last summer with the type of profile that would have made him an archetypal Arsene Wenger signing.

The 20-year-old admitted last season that “nobody had heard of me” in England before he moved from Lorient for £7million in July 2018.

But now, Matteo Guendouzi is well on the way to replicating the success Cesc Fabregas achieved during his time at the Gunners that earned him his dream move to Barcelona.

Matteo Guendouzi was the heartbeat of Arsenal’s rousing comeback against Aston Villa.

The Frenchman drifted in and out of the squad last season, but he’s certainly one of the first names on the team-sheet for Unai Emery this season.

So far this season, he’s been...http://goonermind.com/guendouzi-a-star-is-born/

Lets talk about Nicholas Pepe.

Gooners are starting to get impatient with Pepe. We are frustrated and rightfully so. Pepe came to England with impressive numbers albeit from an unimpressive league but numbers nonetheless. He is our club record signing and he has shown flashes of his brilliance. We are a very demanding fanbase (big club mentality?) and that won’t be enough to satisfy our hunger. Results will justify his hype and he hasn’t been getting it.

But before we pull out our pitchforks and condemn him to the stake, we should...

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s double was canceled because the center-backs of Arsenal had an afternoon to forget in Watford.

Sokratis and David Luiz were guilty for both of Watford’s goals, as three points were lost from timid decisions and lack of concentration.

Here is how we rated the performances of the Arsenal players…

Leno 6
Couple of good saves early on to help Arsenal nullify a solid Watford start. He could not have prevented both goals but he still made some saves in the dying minutes to ensure a point. He will be gutted to not have a clean sheet but he should be proud of his display.

Maitland-Niles 6
Apart from his assist for the first goal, he made a lot of school boy errors and was run ragged by Deulofeu. He has improved defensively but his flaws more than cover his efforts.

Sokratis 4

Horrendous error for Watford’s goal. Complete lack of awareness and paid the ....

Fkhalifa:
Uncle,Until Nelson start beating his man, going past and deleting players, he's nowhere near Iwobi, This isn't Hoffeim in burndeleague, scoring 3,4 rebounds and tap ins with shiny stats won't cover the cracks..
Martinelli looks more matured and ready.
He has the ability to beat his man, and hes much more direct and a bigger goal threat than Iwobi. Scoring any type of goal is still a goal and Auba can testify to that. Okay i may have overstated that he's vastly superior to iwobi but the fact is he is better than Iwobi. How far better is the discussion.

Lets not forget Iwobi isn't an Arsenal player again but Reiss Nelson is and we should be hopeful he becomes our next wilshere or Fabregas in fulfilling potential.
To clarify, i mean a good talent that can break into the first team and move us up.... Afterall many current stars broke into their teams even when there were established senior players and made the position theirs.
Please can u read the article and tell your opinion on it.

I believe that while Alexandre Lacazette’s injury is a blow to Arsenal, it gives young Reiss Nelson the opportunity to stake his claim in Unai Emery’s XI.

While it was hard for some Arsenal fans to see their club let go of Alex Iwobi in the summer, inconsistent as he was. There was one player who is still keeping alive the hope of a youth product starting in front 3, and he is the golden boy of the youth team, Reiss Nelson.

Iwobi’s departure created the room for the vastly more talented Reiss Nelson to enter the first-team fray but the acquisition of Pepe and the deadly duo of lacazette and Aubameyang wouldn’t allow for a regular spot in the front three.

Now, with Alexandre Lacazette set to miss a month with an ankle injury, Nelson may very well be able to step up into the hole at left-wing and make that position his own.

Emery is still tinkering with the squad, thus a full strength Arsenal team is very difficult to put together, except the front three. While Nicolas Pepe is at his best on the right flank, both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are...

WATFORD VS ARSENAL: MATCH PREVIEW
Watford will look to cause another upset and get off the mark. They like to get physical with Arsenal, so they may approach it this way again. With Quique Sanchez Flores coming in again, it will certainly boost the hosts. He played quite technicaly. I am hoping Emery will adopt an attacking approach to the game something i have hoped will happen more often this season, it would leave the defence slightly vulnerable to the counter-attack but in all honesty, the defence is vulnerable regardless of the tactics Emery deploys.

I see Dani Ceballos being deployed on the wings as he was used against Liverpool because i don’t see Emery trusting Nelson or Martinelli just yet, i do expect that they will feature from the bench and be slowly eased into the squad.

The midfield trio would consist of favorite child, Xhaka, while Guendozi continues his good form in the line up... http://goonermind.com/2019/09/14/watford-vs-arsenal-match-preview/
