Thanks a lot fikki,,but I really want to weigh my chances.. Perhaps I am given a visa and the school defers my admission to 2019/2020..what should I do next,,,,can this granted visa still be used to travel by then or it invalid.....huh? Also, Is it polite to write the school with proofs of when the dates of the visa was issued so I can start by second semester cos odas allows delayed visa applicant to start by Feb(as I heard)..is it politehuh? Thirdly; can I come down to Belgium and register, then my admission is deferredhuh.... Am sorry for any inconvenience... I promise not to ask any other boss.. Thanks so much,,As I await your reply

Hello bro,
Was on trip,normally before the embassy issue the visa, they will ask you to get confirmation from the school that you can still register, and if u don’t I have no idea what they will do. I would suggest you wait for the outcome and get your defferd letter from the school and at the same time be open and ask the embassy what the consequences will be if you are given visa and you are to resume the following academic year. I do not think you will be able to get resident permit for 2019/2020 in 2018/2019, it just not so possible if you ask me. They are becoming strict with student here now.

Best bet is.. wait for the response from embassy, get your deferred letter what ever response you get will determine what to do next....

Hello House @fikki. Thanks a lot for your response to my previous mail,,I wish you know how glad I am whenever you take little of your time to reply my questions. I called the school and their reply was I can't be able to register for this academic year, He further explained that their deadline is always 1st of November but I can register for Sep 2019. So I want to ask;

My visa will be issued this month, does it mean I can't use it to travel probably when I get there, I will pay the fee and differ to the admission to Sept...I am really confused if this visa I am waiting for the past months won't be in vain..Also,
Just advise me generally,, Is there anyone you know that wqw granted late visa and school doesn't accept for that year. ...I will be grateful fikki for this,, God bless

Hello bro,
Sorry I didn’t see this earlier, did you say you applied for visa since August and you are yet to receive response??
If so.. contact your school ASAP if you late enrolment is possible ... if positive, request for a letter to be sent to your mail in this regard... and call the Belgian Home office in brussel on Monday if you have your file number, if not, call the embassy tomorrow and request for the status of your visa and file number... please let’s know their response...

Once again so sorry this is coming late

Good day House, I would love to know about 2 things with reference to Belgium long stay Visa and I will be grateful for your time. The first is;
1) I submitted my application on the 6th of August at VFS Lagos, when likely can I receive a reply from them(perhaps the possible week and if you are vast with it and know best on how they run their processing, a date will be appreciated)
2) My school resumed on the 21st of September, and registration deadline was on 15 of October, If eventually I get the visa, considering the dates above, Can I still register and resume with my fellow colleague despite the deadline?
Thanks for your response, God bless

Thanks Socca,,,I am grateful

They can waive interview only on exceptional basis (extremely rare). Most people are called for interview and as fikki1 said, once you were invited for interview in your first time call, a possibility exist where you might be exempted the second time.

My advice would be - mail the embassy if your application you think your application is due for a final decision to be made. It might not be the most appropriate of thing to do, but your options are limited and I guess your school resumption date is near in sight.

If u have applied anytime In d past, you won’t be called for interview, it happened to my friend in 2016 n also happened to me, I did interview once but applied twice after being rejected for the first time
Thanks fikki, God bless you. Do you have a rough idea how long it takes for visa to be granted?

NB: I wasn't called for interview the first time

How many times have you applied for the visa normally, I mean Belgium visa in total so far
Two times, The first one was June and I got rejected early July then I re applied on the 6th of August putting all required docx as demanded. But till date I haven't been called for interview,,,My status still shows " application under process at Belgium embassy" my question is;
Could interview be waived and on what bases
Do you know of anyone who was successful and no interview

Thanks fikki
Thanks for your response, but the truth is I wasn't even called for an interview the first time I applied,,, That were I am getting confused,,

fikki1:
Normally, you don’t get interviewed twice for same purpose... since your reason for denial has been rectified... just hope... pray n keep your fingers crossed...

Okay, thanks.
Good day Nairalanders,
I am new on this platform and I really appreciate everyone time in helping people shed light to various questions.
This is my second time applying for the student visa, The first rejection was across actually due to my ignorance, and the reason for my rejection was clearly stated but I took care of it and re applied again ,,it almost 25 working days and I haven't been called for an interview ..Please, what could be the likely problem because I wasn't also called for an interview the first time. Is there a possibility for interview waiver or does a motivation letter to the embassy be the reason why I wasn't called..I will be so grateful if I get response from the house
