Angelina Jolie is sharing her story and is hoping to help others who might be in the same situation as herself.

Jolie, 37, announced that she had a preventive double mastectomy after learning she carried a gene that makes her very likely to get hit with breast cancer.

The Oscar-winning actress and Brad Pitt’s partner made the announcement in the form of an op-ed she wrote under the title "My Medical Choice”, where she wrote that between early February and late April, she completed three months of surgical procedures to remove both her breasts.

Jolie said that she decided to go through the procedure for her six children after her mother, actress Marcheline Bertrand, died at a young age of cancer.

"My mother battled cancer for nearly a decade, and she died in 2007, at 56-years-old,” Jolie wrote. "She held out long enough to meet the first of her grandchildren and to hold them in her arms. But my other children never had the opportunity to know her and experience how kind she was," she added.

Jolie said that after genetic testing she has learned that she carries the "faulty" BRCA1 gene and had an 87 percent chance of getting the disease. She kept the process private until now, but she decided to share her story in hopes of helping other women.

"I wanted to write this to tell other women that the decision to undergo a mastectomy was not easy, but I'm so glad I did," Jolie wrote. "My chance of developing breast cancer was reduced from 87 percent to less than 5 percent. I can tell my children that they don't need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer," Jolie wrote.

Jolie had surgery to reconstruct her breasts and she got breast implants. "I do not feel anything less of a woman," Jolie wrote. "I feel empowered that I made a good choice that in no way diminishes my femininity," she added.

“It must have been a hard and painful decision, but she saw her mother suffer and she does not want to go through the same thing. I applaud Angelina for sharing her decision so publicly, it might help other women make the right decision for themselves,” Elaine Flores, 41, of San Diego, California told said after hearing about Jolie’s double mastectomy.

She also wrote that Brad Pitt, her partner of eight years, was always at her side when she had her surgeries at the Pink Lotus Breast Center in Southern California.

The FBI released photographs of two men identified as suspects in the bomb attack at the Boston Marathon and appealed for the public's help in identifying them.

Richard DesLauriers, FBI special agent in charge, said Thursday the two suspects -- identified as "Suspect 1" and "Suspect 2" -- "appear to be associated" and were photographed walking side-by-side near the intersection of Boylston Street and Gloucester Street near the marathon's course.

DesLaurier said video shows one of the suspects dropping a package along the marathon route.

"We consider them to be armed and extremely dangerous," DesLauriers said. "No one should approach them."

DesLauriers said "somebody out there knows these individuals" and urged the public to report any information on their identity online at bostonmarathontips.fbi.gov or by calling toll-free at 800-CALLFBI.

During an interfaith service earlier in the day, President Barack Obama said resolve is the "greatest rebuke" to those behind the Boston Marathon bombings.

The country will be with Boston and racers as they stand, walk and run again, said Obama, the final speaker at the "Healing Our City: An Interfaith Service" at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross.

Faith leaders offered prayers from their holy books, praised first responders and others who provided assistance and rendered aid and honored the three people who died and the more than 170 who were injured when two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon Monday.

"I have no doubt that you will run again. That's what the people of Boston are made of," Obama said to rousing applause. "Your resolve is the greatest rebuke to whoever committed this heinous act."

"If they sought to intimate us, to terrorize us, to shake us from our values," Obama said, it should be pretty clear right now that they picked the wrong city to do it. Not here in Boston."

All of America has been touched by "this attack on your beloved city, every one of us stands with you," Obama said, because "it's our beloved city, too."

The ecumenical event that drew together leaders of many faiths as well as state and local leaders, including former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who challenged Obama in the 2012 election.

To the perpetrators, Obama said: "[We] will find you and yes, you will face justice," an emotional Obama said in measured tones. "We will find you. We will hold you accountable. But more than that, our fidelity to our way of life ... will only grow stronger."

The perpetrators -- "small, stunted individuals" -- Obama said, don't understand that Americans' faith in each other and love for each other and the country "is our power."

"That's why a bomb can't beat us," he said. "We carry on. We race. We strive. We build and we work and we love and we raise our kids to do the same and we come together to celebrate life."

"You showed us, Boston that in the face of evil, [we] will lift up what's good," Obama said. "In face of cruelty, we will choose compassion. In face of those who would visit death upon innocents, we will choose to save and to comfort and to heal. We'll choose friendship. We'll choose love."

And on the third Monday of April 2014, "the world will return to this great American city to run harder than ever, to cheer even louder for the 118th Boston Marathon," Obama said to more applause and another standing ovation.

"Bet on it."

Massachusetts Gov. Deval L. Patrick vowed there would be accountability "without vengeance" and "vigilance without fear."

Long after the world moves on, Patrick said he hoped "the grace this tragedy exposed is the best of who we are."

"On Boston's streets Monday afternoon ... we saw souls murdered but also lives saved," said Bassar Wedaddy, chairman of the area's interfaith council.

Boston Mayor Thomas Menino said "no adversity, no challenge" can counter the resiliency of the city's people.

"Nothing can defeat the heart of the city," Menino said. "Nothing will take us down because we take care of one another."

Boston will triumph over the Monday's "hateful act" and will push forward, he said.

"This is Boston," he said, "a city with courage, compassion and strength that knows no bounds."

Obama signed an emergency declaration Wednesday for Massachusetts and ordered federal aid to help the local response to the bombings.

The bombings killed Martin Richard, 8, of Dorchester, Mass., Krystle Campbell, 29, of Arlington, Mass., and Boston University graduate student Lingzi Lu, 23, a native of Shenyang, China.

Ahead of 2014 governorship election in Ekiti State, former governor Ayo Fayose of the Peoples Democratic Party has vowed to recapture power and become the next governor of the state.

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Ibadan, Mr. Fayose said “there is no agenda in 2014, I am the next governor in Ekiti state’’.

Sounding spiritual and philosophical, Mr. Fayose said he left office through the State House of Assembly on Oct. 15, 2006 and Mr Segun Oni also left on Oct. 15, 2010 while the incumbent Gov. Kayode Fayemi was sworn in on Oct. 16, 2010.

“So the issues are very clear. The historic importance are very clear, my exit marks the end of every government in Ekiti State.

Mr. Fayose said automatically, Mr. Fayemi would leave office on Oct. 15, 2014 and a new government by him would start on Oct. 16, 2014, “exactly eight years, after I left office”.

“Apart from that, I am working. People love me and people want me. I am endearing myself more to them. I don’t like to make too much noise, May God help all of us’’, he prayed.

On the reconciliatory meetings going on in the PDP, Mr. Fayose said it was a welcome development as “It shows that PDP is moving forward”.

“We should all come together and do more, if we do more, we will get more. PDP will take over power in the South-West’’, he said.

“Forever, there will be internal problems, it will never end, that is the hallmark of politics, that is why we call it politics, it is a game of interest and intrigues.’’

Mr. Fayose said PDP as a large party should expect a lot of intrigues and interest but expressed the hope that at the end of it all, members would come together.

“When you see a party fighting , and not ready to decamp, you should be afraid of them, because when they come together, it is a crisis for the opponents they are fighting.

“We should forget about the crisis, crisis is normal and we should expect more. That does not take away that they are in PDP and want PDP to win.”

Mr. Fayose was impeached in 2006 and is currently being tried for corruption by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN has said that the crisis tearing the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos apart over the sharing of SURE-P funds in the state has vindicated its stand that the funds, meant to cushion the effects of petrol subsidy removal, have now become a 2015 campaign war chest for President Jonathan.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, the party said when it alerted the nation to the abuse of the SURE-P funds in a statement on February 3, the Nigerian Government as well as SURE-P managers rushed to deny any abuse of the funds and called the party unprintable names.

“Today, the truth has prevailed as the PDP members themselves have confirmed that the SURE-P funds are being shared among them across the federation.

”Thanks to the alleged hijacking of the SURE-P funds meant for the PDP members in Lagos State by the Bode George faction and the crisis that it has generated, the nation can now see that the Jonathan administration has willfully converted the money accruing from SURE-P to campaign funds,” Mr. Mohammed said.

The ACN spokesperson said the action of the president ”is a very serious violation of the constitution, because the State Implementation Committee, SIC, a body not recognized by law, has been set up to distribute the SURE-P largesse to PDP members in all the states”.

According to Mr. Mohammed, money being spent on fuel subsidies was in the past taken out of the Federation Account, hence its is money that would have been divided among the three tiers of government in accordance with the revenue allocation formula.

”But by virtue of the SURE-P arrangement, part of the funds are now available for the FG to share freely by approving contracts, programmes and activities in accordance with its whims and caprices,” he said, adding that the PDP-controlled FG has now seen the accruing huge funds as money which may well be spent with special favour for its cronies and party affiliates, without regard to the constitution.

“For President Jonathan, this is an impeachable offence,” ACN said.

The party said in order to buttress its point on the abuse of the SURE-P funds, most – if not all – state coordinators for President Jonathan’s campaign in 2011 are also the current state coordinators for SURE-P, adding that this is not a mere coincidence but a well-orchestrated attempt to give the Jonathan campaign an unfair head-start ahead of 2015 – with public funds.

It listed some of the coordinators as Bode Oyedele (Lagos); Joseph Ishekpa (Nasarawa); Garba A. Kurfi (Katsina): Aliyu Mamman (Niger); Adamu Yaro Gombe (Gombe); Femi Akinyemi (Ekiti); Jarigbe Agbom Jarigbe (Cross River); Abdullahi Ohioma (Kogi); Dare Adeleke (Oyo); Al-Kasim Madoka (Kano) and Kolo Bukar (Borno).

On the crisis in Lagos PDP over the SURE-P largesse, ACN said a public statement by a faction of the PDP in Lagos has let the cat out of the bag.

The PDP factional statement said, inter alia; ”Bode Oyedele cannot coordinate Sure-P in Lagos State. We reject him. He has packed all Bode George’s agents as Sure-P beneficiaries. Is this the objective of Sure-P? Some local governments like Eti-Osa, Ajeromi, Lagos Islands etc. Please, find out how they got the beneficiaries.

”In Eti-Osa there are names of criminals as beneficiaries, especially Ward HI. This is a waste of subsidy money and defeating the objective of the programme. There are responsible eminent citizens who should be contacted to verify and screen the submission of names for beneficiaries but Bode George’s loyalists are putting names of touts and miscreants for his own personal agenda. We won’t allow this to happen. We intend to go to court to obtain an order to dissolve the state exco if the Caretaker Committee won’t do it,” the statement by a faction of the Lagos PDP noted.

The ACN said that the statement by the Lagos PDP faction should leave no one should in any doubt that the SURE-P funds have now become campaign funds for President Jonathan and his party ahead of 2015.

”On the basis of this, we are now calling for an independent investigation into how the money accruing to SURE-P has been disbursed since the inception of the programme, with a view to establishing to what extent the funds have been abused, and in order to prescribe the appropriate sanctions for those found culpable,” it said.

In a quest to find out who the lady was, my Nigerian friend denied being the actress on the poster and said it was a movie from Ghana. But our research indicates that Lucky Geo Ventures is a Nigerian Production.

Well, we couldn’t see our friend in the adverts but there was someone that looks like Mercy Johnson in the trailer. The anonymous actress still remains a mystery but our question is do the Censorship Board watch our movies before issuing a released date and age limit?

It is believe that s3x posters have positive sales on movies therefore even when there’s no naked or s3x scene in the movie producers deceive n*ked lover with such posters.
