A lot of camrys, highlanders and rav4s with this engine are beginning to display the symptom you are having now owing to years of abuse by their owners. if you can still rev ur car beyond 5,000 rpm after it has warmed up, then probably much damage hasn't been done to the cams lobes, sprocket, lifters and valves. Please start using the recommended oil from now on and stay away from anything like oil treatment, ap visco, mobil xhp or any other heavy oil.
