Dogalmighty17: It is just that Palestinians end up attacking whoever helps them. If not, more countries around the world will have given them places to stay.
Egypt tried accomodating them in 1968 but they organised the first terrorist bombing in Cairo and tried to cause an uprising. Jordan too experienced similar. As a reward for the hospitality of the Jordanian king, they tried to overthrow him. Because of Palestinians, Lebanon has never remained the same. Early Palestinian refugee settlers in Lebanon ended up creating Hezbollah and tore that country apart.
As South Africa wan price market so, make dem ready to pay. These people are betrayers. Do you know that NASCO in Jos owned by one of them was sponsoring terrorism in Tunisia which made President Olusegun Obasanjo to freeze their funds in 2005. They've had a problem with Saddam Hussein. |

Omonile of FCT has been put in his place TONYE001: I assure you that there's a lot of background stuff in this story, and you and I aren't privy to it.
Wike is known to NEVER respect the rule of law. He shouldn't be talking about law like he's a saint. The military, in fact, even the presidency doesn't respect our courts/laws.
It's just sad that we find ourselves in this kind of situation.
But Wike didn't handle the situation well His conduct was agbero-like. His verbal assault was disgraceful, and he can be sued.
From the video we've all seen, we didn't see any soldier hit or beat anyone. It's Wike's testimony vs the soldier's.
Available video evidence doesn't put Wike in good light.
I don't know anything about the papers of the land. We've seen some documents published yesterday. But we've also seen several land-grabbing reports concerning Wike. VDM did a video about this some time ago.
In summary, this is Nigeria. Our leaders don't respect the rule of law. In fact, the Law appears to be only for the poor.
We can all do better. |

zeuss: only a certain group act with this sort of impunity and defend it. Obj a retired general , military head of state and democratic president does not conduct himself in this manner , he even begged wike to assist him with land issues. Same applies to pioneer retired general Theophilus danjuma also I can tell u with all confidence that a young southern or Christian officer will never challenge a serving minister. Impunity is detrimental to progressive society Wike cant use force, theres a appropriate channel for that. Omonile of FCT has been put in his place |

Politics › Re: What Law Stipulates "Once A General Always A General" by Gotocourt: 3:42pm On Nov 13, 2025 |
buygala: One of the statements made by Lieutenant Yarima while he was defending his actions of blocking Wike the FCT Minister from access to a property was "once a General, always a General'.
I have done my private research by combing through the Armed Forces Act which established all branches of the Nigerian Armed forces, as well as the Nigerian Constitution which provides their foundational legal authority, and I have seen nothing supporting this frequently bandied assertion that "once a General, always a General'...
If anyone has any legal provision supporting this assertion, please do well to draw it to our attention ...If there is none, then we must call a spade a spade and not a spoon...
As far as I am aware, even the President/Commander-in-Chief, once he leaves office, is not "once a Commander-in-Chief always a Commander-in-Chief' ....All Nigerian Presidents have quietly retired...Even Buhari with all the power he wielded as President, quietly retired to Daura to rest and enjoy his family until he quietly passed on...Even Obasanjo that was both a Military and Democratic President, has never been in the news for constituting a stumbling block to extant authority...
So I am at a loss as to why, someone who has retired from the armed forces as Chief of Naval Staff, will continue giving orders to active members of the armed forces even to the extent of frustrating a sitting Minister's duty...
Of Course I am also aware that senior officers and ex-officers like Buratai and the current CDS have aligned with that Lieutenant's action obeying a retired officer's orders at the expense of an sitting Minister..
But as far as I am concerned, Buratai and the current CDS are simply supporting a system that favors or will favor them in the future... Buratai as EX-COAS enjoys his full perks of retirement which obviously includes the "once a General, always a General' title which grants him certain extra privileges...The sitting CDS is also very aware that he will also retire at some point in the future, so he will be wise to protect that whole "once a General always a General' thing so that he too can enjoy it upon retirement..
However, while in one breath we are berating Wike for lawlessness and abuse of office, we should not in same breath support this whole "once a General always a General' thing if it has no legal foundation, as it will be the height of lawlessness if a few men can sit somewhere and decide that they can drop a uniform and the responsibility/danger/duty that comes with it, but not drop the command benefits and ostensibly illegal perks that go with it...
If we must crucify Wike, we must also examine that retired CNS's authority to issue an order to countermand a sitting Minister...What is good for Greece must also be good for Uganda
After all said and done, these soldiers are employees of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and must like everyone else, be subject to its laws...Even a President isn't always a President issuing laws and stuff after retirement...
Of course all my complains will be moot if someone supplies a law supporting that "once a General always a General' tradition that military retirees frequently rely on to perpetrate impunity outside their service years. Retirement package, Military guards, Care by military, official Rifle. If you see a Hilux or SUV with military soldier driving it, don't engage oOoOO, na demmm |

Romance › Re: Na Pikin Go Decide Your Divorce! Nigerian Law No Dey Play by Gotocourt: 9:41am On Nov 13, 2025 |
Naijalegal: So You Want a Divorce? Read This Before You Shout “I’m Done!”
A lot of people don’t know this — before any Nigerian court grants you a divorce, the judge must be 100% sure that your children’s welfare has been properly provided for.
It’s not just about saying “I’ll take care of them.” You have to prove you’ve made plans for: Accommodation Education Welfare & Upbringing
Now here’s the gist that shocks many people
If the kids are still small, the court usually gives custody to the mother — except there’s something serious like:
Insanity
Child cruelty
Infectious disease
Moral misconduct
Or no means of income
But gender also matters o! Girl child? Most likely with the mother. Boy child? Most likely with the father.
Still, the mother can argue that staying with the father isn’t in the boy’s best interest — for example, if the new stepmother might mistreat him.
At the end of the day, the court looks at the conduct of both parents. If Daddy is known for beating the kids too hard — custody denied. If Mummy is known for prostitution — custody denied.
Bottom line? There’s no law in Nigeria that says only mothers or fathers can get custody. Both parents have equal rights — unless there’s a strong reason not to.
And oh — once a child is over 21, forget custody. The law says they’re grown.
What do you think? Should custody decisions really depend on the child’s gender? Or should it always go to whoever can care better — man or woman? Also, the divorce process takes almost forever 😥😥😥. |
