if we want to move from where we are to a better place, then change is needed. I suggest the following constitutional changes be made: 1. The Inec chairman should not be appointed by the president, it should be done by the national assembly both the upper and lower house 2. 4 years is not enough to bring about the needed change, I suggest we have a six year tenure, where if a president, governor or senator fails to perform, we can vote out as 6 years is enough for one to really perform. A person can go for a second tenure if he or she performs very well. making it a total of 12 years. 3. All president, governors vying for elective position should step down a week before the election, the military should be in-charge temporarily and after election results are out, they can be reinstated. 4. The police, Army, Navy should be answerable to the president but should not be appointed by the president. The national assembly along side other credible groups should make such appointment which should be free from all tribal, religious sentiments. 5. the president should appoint ministers, ambassadors and head of other agencies, as they are needed in order to effect positive changes in the society. 6. Appointments should be made equally to all zones. 7. governors, president should be prosecuted if found guilty of any crime even while serving. immunities should be removed. |
Dansiki1:33 senators not 23 |
in a free and fair election, Buhari would still win but d margin would have been very very close, maybe even leading to a re run |
ChaleeBendel:d margin was small naw |
Elections in Osun, Lagos, Nasarrawa could easily have gone Atiku's way if not for some electoral irregularities where large number of votes we're rejected in key PDP areas. Atiku only lost the election because of d bloc vote from Kano state. in his strongholds, election results in most areas were either cancelled or rejected. in the south west, Atiku could easily have won in 4 states(i Lagos, Osun, Oyo and ondo) and also 3 in d north Central (Nasarrawa, plateau and benue) |
Zanas:yea |
