A simple search on Google (which you could have done) shows that there is an admission exam.
There is an admission test on the basis of the results takes the assignment of places available, the number of which is determined annually by the School of Medicine
Do you speak and write Italian to a high standard?
You WILL need it for this course.

im sorry, i am new to this. i just started learning italian 2 days ago. io voglio capire italiano. i was told i need an admission letter to apply for a visa, does that mean i cant make it to turin for the exam and brother do you know of any other school in italy that gives free education and take med in english? thanks a lot

good afternoon bosses, I've read through this post from the beginning and have had nothing but smiles on my face.

I want to apply to study medicine in university of torino, does anyone school there? I heard scholarship is based on family income

my confusion is someone told me that i would come to italy to write an exam before getting an admission letter and i know that i cannot apply for a student visa to even go and write the exam wifhout the letter

how true is this and what can i do? i intend studying with the public universities scholarship scheme in italy

good day peeps.. I am not yet in Italy but I thought i should open this thread to get enlightened on their mode of operation, I heard they give all International students scholarships and its not so difficult gaining admission there.

Share your experiences schooling in italy, admission, visa , and how you're fairing over there? Is the scholarship thing true too?

No he can't...... Eye surgery is the exclusive reserve of ophthalmologist, and you need a medical degree (MBBS,MBchB,MD,DO) to become one.

Ps: DO as written above means doctor of osteopathy.

Okay, I'm sorry. I thought optometry was for eye care and then you had to be an ophthalmologist to perform eye surgery. thanks

Optometry is a medical course that has itz specialty with treatment of eyes diseases,refracting lens and correcting eye defects through operation,itz a six years course with one year internship making it a cumulative seven years course,youth service exluded
on completion of programe you will be awarded a doctor of optometry(O.D) nt the usual Bsc,making it a break from the norm.
Job opportunities include working in military or para-military organisations,public hospitals or you can go into private practise!

They are in the same league with doctors with a thin difference,while an optometrist have his or her specialty with the eyes,a medical doctor deals with the whole body,it is a nice course,you going to love it.

On the issue with salary scale,they are the same with doctors working in government owned hospitals,though they might be a thin difference due to area of specialization.

Are u satisfied now?not forgetting to add that only few universities offers the course and they are
abia state university(ABSU)
imo state university(IMSU)
university of benin(UNIBEN)

i dnt know if the course is accredited in futo..take care!

How can they get to the point of a normal medical doctor? what will it take to make him a hot cake and also as conspicuous as a normal doctor? what can make him as important as a doctor? Please Before you read, take note of the purpose
of my writing this.

Wherever you see an emergency, and there's a
victim, before you take out your phone to take
pictures and upload on the internet, rush that
person to the hospital, he/she could still survive.
.
This happened earlier this week. I had to visit a
village in ohuhu for a project which I had to finish
quickly, and I happened to be with my family
friends. After I was done, it was already getting
late, so I decided to hurry home as I was a bit far
from town. I was walking to the junction with my
friend when I heard a loud thud. I quickly rebuffed
the thought that it was an accident and I told her
that a car might have ran over a bump speedily
or hit something minor, little did I know that a
man had been swept off his feet by a hit and run
driver and had hit his head on the road, breaking
it open with thick blood gushing out.
.
we decided to run to the scene of the accident,
when we got there, we met the young man (early
30's) lying in the arms of his mother who was
lying on the floor too, crying and shouting that
her son was dead. In my heart, I told God that I
wouldn't want to see a dead person. A lot of
people surrounded them and were crying. I took a
closer look at the young man lying in his own
pool of blood and his tongue out of his mouth,
and I noticed he had life in him, though he was
unconscious. I started shouting at everyone
present, and my friend joined me, I asked his
mother if she would want her son to die in her
arms. The shouting lasted a few minutes before
they decided to take him to the hospital.

He was put in a tricycle and someone joined him.
To be honest, that man was lifeless looking at
him casually, they drove off and my heart kept
racing. The people there were still crying and
saying that he drank so he wasn't able to run
because the car left the road to hit him.
.
The next day, I spoke to the people over there
and was told he survived. he was put on a
drip so the alcohol would clear from his body
before stitching would commence.
what if we all started taking pictures to put on
the internet? what if no one made effort to take
him up? What if he bled to death because of the
delay in taking him to the hospital?
.
God saved him , common sense helped us.
Thank God He survived.
This christmas Please don't drink and walk on a
highway/drive.
You can share this and it could save a life.

On Tuesday evening, I went to see my family friends,it was getting late so I decided to start going home and I asked her (my aunts child) to see me off. We were headed towards the main road when we heard a loud thud. Gbooom!!!

I thought a car had hit a tree or ran over a bump but she asked that we rush to see what happened, I declined and I was still talking to her about a change of lifestyle etc.

After a few seconds see e decided to go, and when we got there we saw an old woman sitting on the floor and crying, holding her son who should be in his early 30's in her hands. His head had hit the road and broke open and the driver was a hit and run driver,so he sped away.

When I got there a lot of people surrounded them and were crying too, apparently they all knew him. I took a close look at the man and noticed there was still an atom of life in him, despite the the thick blood which was gushing out of his head. so I began to scream and scold my elders who should have known better, I shouted at his mother to take him to the hospital immediately, they were still free reluctant, then my family friend who had a tiny voice joined me in shouting. we shouted and shouted until one member of the family put him in a keke and the rushed off to the hospital.

The next day, (yesterday) I heard he survived, and I thought ,what if he died of bleeding in his mother's arms, what if he wasn't rushed to the hospital.

Please, whenever you see an accident, before taking out your phone to take pictures, make sure the victims are being rushed to the hospital. If that man could survive, anyone can survive.

I pray God keeps us safe during this festive period.
