Nellyjo: Im new here as i just recently applied for a 2yr uk visa cuz my 6months expired and i hope i get it. Here’s one thing i learnt from my little knowledge, clear intent is important. This visa was clearly denied cuz the event has passed. If it hadn’t then ehn hen. Nothing stops you from reapplying if there’s another event coming up but make sure you give ample time for approval. Say like a month or apply for priority if its needed ASAP. 25th is still a little far cuz uk is quicker than most with their answers, but before you gather docs, fill the form and go for biometrics it may be some time, so if you can get your sponsor to apply for priority appointment, that will be fantastic cuz some people get answers even next day. It all depends on the urgency and importance of it cuz if its not important enough, they will deny it again. Another thing is your own personal circumstances, even if you have a sponsor, they still look at your circumstance. So make sure to attach you payslips and bank statements even though you’re uploading that of your sponsor too, it shows steady income and can be a strong tie to home. Lastly don’t forget to declare that youve had a previous visa refused. I hope this helps but, yh i will definitely reapply if i were you. Thank you for the feedback. I did priority the last time. I will be applying normally If choose to reapply and hope for the best. |

Fraih: Passport delivered today It was an approval
Kept the application very simple, purpose was for post-partum care, uploaded only sponsor’s account statement + 3 months payslip as her account is not up and running…so didn’t want to risk questioning from ECO, proof of ties to Nigeria was she would return to her husband whom she’s the main carer for.
Prepared an invitation letter detailing the purpose of visit and attached necessary documents. Standard visa approved within 5days
Glad for everything I learnt on this platform. In all, grateful to God Congratulations... Did you apply either priority? |

Debbieeeeeee: On the vfs portal? Yes Debbiee. From the VFS portal And there's no number or email address to reach. I only did the priority so that I can meet up with the event date, but now the event has passed and nothing from them. It's really getting me worried |

Debbieeeeeee: Hi Gracey, please at what point did you pay for the priority service? You can call the paid helpline or send them an email regarding your application. I paid before my biometrics |

Good afternoon guys. Please I did my biometrics on the 8th July with a priority service. The processing time is 5 working days and till now nothing yet from UKVI. I received an email on the 16th of July that my application is under consideration, and till now nothing yet. The its a business trip and my employer is sponsoring. The issue now is that the event has passed, the event held on the 19th. I'm a little worried, will the application still be considered and even after the event has passed?. Please any one with similar issue or advise on what to do? I'll really appreciate.. Thank you |
