Irrelevant to what we are talking.
Very relevant to your inferiority complex and worship of the West.

Even as bad as Nigeria is, I would never look down on my fellow blacks just to worship whites in the west

No, I am not bashing blacks.
I am talking about 60 years of failure to develop after independence you are deflecting to Trump.
The USA was formed in 1776. Black people got rights in 1964/1968.
It took USA over 180 years to get sense.

You expect Nigeria to do miracles in 60 years

My point is that lack of education does not explain everything, especially today.

Education can improve awareness, but education alone does not fix corruption, bad leadership, broken families, crime, greed, tribalism, or destructive culture.
Education is the necessary first step and many generations of blacks in Mississippi didn't get it until recently due to racism and mismanagement.

Education is a critical factor

Israel as a nation was recognized in 1948. The Jews in Israel were called Palestinian Jews.
The present day Palestinians are just Arabs from Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Syria etc.
Even in the Bible, there were other people apart from Jews that lived in that Area of Palestine. There were Arabs in Palestine before the formation of many Arab countries.

Palestine are also semitic. Jews ate not the only semitic people

Just be there capping rubbish.

You are mixing two different things. And budaatum also has this issue.

When I say education is already there, I am talking about formal education and access to information.

People know corruption is bad. They know tribalism, greed, selfishness, and disunity destroy societies.

This is not some hidden secret that only a university professor can explain.

The problem is not that people have never heard the truth. The problem is that many people know the truth and still choose the wrong thing when money, power, tribe, religion, or personal interest is involved.

See Emefiele as an example. He is not an illiterate man. He is educated, experienced, and had access to every economic expert, etc.

Yet what did that education produce when character, accountability, and national interest were missing?

So no, I am not contradicting myself.

Education can expose wrong thinking, but education alone does not fix character.

You can educate a greedy person and simply produce a smarter thief.

You can educate a tribalist and simply produce someone who justifies tribalism with better grammar.

My point is this - the deeper problem is mindset, culture, values, accountability, and unity.

Education helps, yes, but pretending education alone is the magic solution is shallow.

And when I push back on Deepsight blaming everything on white people, colonialism, or climate, that is also a form of education. I am challenging excuses, exposing weak arguments, and forcing him to confront internal failures.

So the issue is not left or right. The issue is whether we are honest enough to admit that our own choices, leaders, culture, greed, and disunity are major reasons for our problems.

So we have a culture of greed and selfishness in the country.
Does this culture of greed extend to Trump? The 1.7 billion corrupt slush fund?

A billionaire president still enriching his family with us government contracts?

Trump doesn't need more money. His great grandchildren can't even be poor

Israel only came into existence as a nation in 1948. It's GDP is higher than every African nation.

Stop dwelling on trivialities.
Here are some facts that destroy your talking points.

1. Nigeria got its independence in 1960, over a decade after Israel was formed in 1948.

2. Israel always had and continues to have the support of USA and the UK.

3. Israel is the biggest recipient of aid from the USA. They have been collecting aid long before Nigeria was even formed.

4. Israel was funded in their creation by Israeli diaspora, German holocaust reparations and us aid.

Please did blacks get reparations for slavery which was worse and longer than the holocaust?

The average black American has the opportunity to compete government funded schooling. Many are fed in schools. I gave the example of New York where the government spends more on a high school kid than an entire local government does in Nigeria.

They black American kid has all the cards. The difference is that the Nigerian is coming from a culture that encourages his success.

The moment you get to US, you are under pressure to succeed. The family and community are looking up to you.

That is where culture comes in
Did you forget that private school in the USA give better opportunities than public school.
How many blacks are in private schools.

There are people on the government dole, food stamps. Not everyone is motivated to succeed in the USA

I provided you the stats. You are one taking out of ignorance and anger.
How can a state with 5x smaller budget haveuch better outcomes for black kids.

And you are right, New York comes first in some metrics namely largest spending. But they are below the US average in reading and arithmetic.

I don't understand your 3rd point please explain
I gave you facts that you cannot deny.

1. You can't escape the fact that money has to be invested in education to see any improvement in black people. I never specified how much to spend.

2. You shifted the argument to New York vs Mississippi and still lost. You proved my point that funding education is necessary.

3. You as usual hide stats within stats as a dubious debating technique. For instance, Mississippi has the highest number of blacks among usa states. You omitted that.

4. Comparing New York to Mississippi still doesn't work on some levels. New York ranks 1 in public education on some lists. There are many categories and levels to education

Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by GracieX3(f): 1:59pm On May 19
raumdeuter:
Your solution is basically taking resources from others to fund you more. No responsibility from your side

Stats have shown that people who live in the same communities but have a 2 parent household are more likely to succeed , Black children in the US are 70% born into single parent households but you think that is not a major factor

Leftists look for excuses
You do realise that I never even talked about how the educational policies were going to be funded?

Secondly, you as usual never look at the root cause: poverty. Your brain dead method is to look at the problem and not its causes or solution

Married men have higher income. Maybe more work on black people having better education and income earning opportunities before talking about marriage? Get sense
Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by GracieX3(f): 1:51pm On May 19
tctrills:
New York consistently ranks #1 in the United States for per-pupil education expenditures. Funding has continued to climb due to state-level aid increases and local property tax adjustments.

School districts across the state spend an average of $37,033 per student.

That's more than entire local governments spend on education in Nigeria.

Now what's the outcome for black kids.
Despite the historic levels of funding, reading achievement scores—measured by the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), known as "The Nation's Report Card"—show that a vast majority of Black students are not meeting baseline proficiency standards.

When evaluating the most recent federal NAEP data cycles, the "Proficiency Rate" (meaning students can comfortably integrate ideas, analyze text, and identify main themes) breaks down as follows:

4th Grade Reading: Only 16% of Black students in New York score at or above the "Proficient" level.

8th Grade Reading: Only 10% of Black students score at or above the "Proficient" level.

While New York represents a "high-spending, lower-yield" model, Mississippi has become famous in education policy as a "low-spending, high-efficiency" success story—often referred to as the "Mississippi Miracle."

Here is how Mississippi’s financial investment and reading proficiency rates for Black students compare.

Mississippi has historically been one of the lower-income states in the U.S., and its education budget reflects that. It consistently ranks near the bottom for raw per-pupil spending.

Statewide Average: Mississippi spends approximately $12,324 per student annually.

The Base Student Cost: The baseline state formula handles basic classroom operational needs at around $7,201 per child, with extra weighted funding added for high-poverty or at-risk districts.

Despite having significantly less money, Mississippi's aggressive focus on foundational literacy has yielded reading scores for Black students that match or exceed national averages, outperforming many wealthy states.

On the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), the "Proficient" rates and raw test scores for Black students break down as follows:

4th Grade Reading Proficiency: 19% of Black students in Mississippi score at or above the "Proficient" level.

National Context: This ranks Mississippi's Black 4th graders #3 in the nation compared to their Black peers in other states. They outscore Black 4th graders in New York (16%) and the overall national public school average.

8th Grade Reading Proficiency: 13% of Black students score at or above the "Proficient" level.

While scores naturally experience a dip by middle school nationwide, Mississippi's Black 8th graders still maintain a higher proficiency rate than New York's (10%).

Summary, even with much more money blacks can't fix education.

What is Mississippi doing better than New York.

Remember, you guys call Mississippi a racist state.
You are just talking out of anger and ignorance. Even your own example betrayed you.

Mississipi was one of the worst states for education generally thanks to the racist nature of the state. Don't take my word for it- Google it!!.

1. Mississipi improved in black education because they INVESTED in it. They spent money, trained and hired better tutors.

2. For your information, New York still ranks as number 1 in some educational categories. So their money spent is not a total waste as you are insinuating.

3. Keep in mind that you even destroyed your older point on denying systematic racism holding blacks back. Many articles on Mississippi's improvement in black education highlight the racist issues in Mississippi's past.

1. Take responsibility for your actions and outcomes. Then men stay with the women you impregnate. Single mother homes perpetuate poverty and societal dysfunction

2. You dont need funding for any of these
Yet another brain dead answer. See a more robust answer below.....

GracieX3:
Lol....so your ridiculous answer of "leadership, habits, culture" is enough to save the black race from poverty?

Why not start with the underlying cause of poverty? Lack of education and opportunity?

The average Nigerian in the USA has at least tertiary level of education compared to the average African American. Also, the average Nigerian is motivated to use the opportunities in the USA, coming from a less developed country.

What happened to investing in schools and trade businesses in black populated ghettos? What about teaching proper history? Motivating young black people to believe in themselves and achieve the most they can?

I think the best way to convince these uncle Ruckus types (eg Bemeruca, Ramdeuter, tctrills and basilico) is to ask them two questions which they must clearly answer directly with no obfuscation.......

2. How do we fund or support such solutions?
