1. You can't be looking back and be moving forward...it's not possible. You must forget yesterday to able move forward.
2. People you trust most, we will still betray and disappoint you. Only God is perfect. BUT you have to KEEP trusting people as long as you are alive. You must forgive and move on.
3. Whatever your religion is, move closer to God and ask Him for help and to send good people to you. Be good person too because like attract likes.
4. No body is here to suffer, you must grow. Yesterday is not today and today will not be tomorrow. So grow everyday in your mind...by reading good books not junks.
5. Your salary will not always be enough until you develop yourself and grow to become what you want to be in life and don't stop growing.
6. Do your computer course in the evening or weekend or online. You can work and still educate yourself. Don't allow excuses to hold you down.
7. Many years ago, I work and sponsored myself to school in the evening and today I have masters degree. And at the same time I was paying my siblings school fees.
8. All you need is determination.
9. Look for other things to do, that can pay you money and still train yourself.
10. God will guide you with His mercy.

SaidaBoj3:
I have lived in obscurity for long. I avoid people and keep my distance as far as possible cos I trust no one. People can be very wicked and disappointing. I can only be friends with people I can confide in, not people I will share my dark side with, and the next moment, the entire world will hear and get to know my life's ugly tales.
If I ever got to know my father, grew up with him and got nurtured by him, I'd be better than I am Today. I feel so sad being a posthumous child without older siblings to guide me through. At the moment, I am still unable to find my bearing in life cos I lack a Coach. I feel like I came here to suffer unendingly. My salary is 40k, I foot all the bills from same salary. Transport, feeding, rent, NEPA bills, recharge cards, dependants etc. How long can one continue this way.
I wish to learn a computer skill as much as I can, but if I leave my job, how do I copy? No support from anywhere.

Perhaps, for his youthful exuberance and leadership style, the immediate past Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, is largely misunderstood.
His commitment, passion and sometimes excitement on the job rather than earned him accolades, conversely offends some. Even Bello himself recognized that his actions elicited envy of a kind , but he was resolute that whichever side of the coin, the job that has to be done must be done no matter whose ox was gored.

Right from the beginning of his first term in January 2016, he committed himself to the transformation of the State by reforming the machineries of government, its security architecture, and ensuring ethnic cohesion and development at all levels.

To achieve his goals, he assembled eggheads competent enough across the ethic and religious lines in the state.

Though, his first term was almost marred with loads of litigations and the intra and inter political battles, he was not deterred in implementing his policies. He took stock of the situation and deployed his administration’s blueprint as a compass to address the pressing needs of the state.

The first problem he encountered in the course of governance was the civil service. It was weak, allegedly corrupt and unproductive. Using the democratic and legal means to ensure an effective and productive civil service, Bello embarked on a screening exercise that ab initio generated an outcry from suspected ghost workers and employment racketeers who were arguably the target of the exercise.

On completion of screening in 2018, Bello gave a standing order for the civil servants’ salaries to be paid between the 24 and 27th of every month, an order that was sustained throughout his administration.

The democratic nature of Bello in policy implementation boosted the morale of the workforce and propels them to be productive albeit patriotic. Added to that is the fact that even in the face of the crippling national economy, Bello approved the then National Minimum Wage Scale for Kogi civil servants.

Speaking recently, Michael Ohiare, Senior Special Assistant (print Media) in the former governor's administration, while chronicling various efforts of former governor Yahaya Bello said his swift action when he mediated between the Northern food transporters and their Southern counterparts and brokered peace between the two regions remains a reference point.

He pointed that in the build up to the 2023 Presidential Poll, a number of impediments and political cum economic landmines were laid on the road by those bent on truncating the Tinubu’s presidential ambition, including the Naira Redesign Policy.

According to Ohiare , " it was the same Yahaya Bello with some of his colleagues then that dared the system and secured the judgement that set that aside at the Supreme Court. It was a landmark intervention at a time that the national economy was almost collapsing.

“In the Presidential Poll, Yahaya Bello mobilised Kogites massively to deliver victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“He also mobilized the youths across the country as the Youth Mobilization Committee Chairman because of his faith in the leadership capacity of Mr President”.

EDUCATION

Prior to the emergence of Bello, the state of education in Kogi State lacked clear direction. A comprehensive 2017 survey conducted by ACTIONAID/PIBCID krevealed critical insights into the education sector's performance and challenges in the state. These findings highlighted deficiencies in performance and instructional delivery that hindered the achievement of critical goals: improving literacy rates, advancing Early Child Care Development Education (ECCDE), enhancing the quality of education from basic to tertiary levels, promoting girl-child education, and elevating ICT skills and STEM education.

In response to these challenges, the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology in Kogi State organised the 2018 State Education Summit, known as the 'Education Roadmap.' This summit gathered stakeholders to devise strategies for the state's educational development. Subsequently, the Kogi State Education Law of 2020 was enacted to provide guidance and regulation for the education sector's operations in the state.

The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology under Bello had gone a step further by developing the State Education Strategic Plan (SESP) 2021-2030 and the State Education Operational Plan (SESOP) 2021-2027, which aligned with the Ministerial Strategic Plan (MSP) to address gaps in the education sector.

Under the leadership of Bello, the administration transformed the education landscape from one marked by neglect and decay to one filled with hope, improved access, equity, infrastructure development, and enhanced service delivery.

One of the administration's groundbreaking achievements in the education sector was the allocation of 30% of the budget to education in each fiscal year from 2021. This allocation exceeded the UNESCO-recommended benchmark of 26%, thus underscoring the government's unparalleled commitment to education in the state.

To ensure effective utilization of this investment, the state government conducted training sessions for over 2,000 school managers, focusing on curriculum delivery, quality assurance, and enhanced efficiency in partnership with NTI, NPC, NERDC, and FME. Additional training sessions on conducting the Annual School Census have been provided to over 1,500 individuals by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.

To enhance the workforce in the education sector, the government recruited an additional 3,979 teachers in February 2023 from a pool of 22,342 applicants.

Before 2015, Kogi State's education landscape was a cause for concern. The performance of Kogi students in national examinations like WAEC, NECO, and JAMB was disheartening. However, the Bello's administration ushered in a transformative era. Substantial investments in educational infrastructure and the welfare of of teachers and management staff have elevated the standard of Kogi students. This is a testament to the power of commitment and strategic planning.

According to statistics from the Federal Ministry of Education, the number of out-of-school children jin Kogi State stood at 554,943 between 2014 and 2015. Through concerted efforts, the Bello's administration has reduced that figure to 86,803, ranking Kogi as the 9th state with the lowest number of out-of-school children in Nigeria as of 2019.

With the renewed commitment of the government under the leadership of the incumbent governor Usman Ododo , it is anticipated that every school-age child will be in the classroom before the end of 2024.

Achieving this involved investments in primary education, renovating 833 classroom blocks, constructing 1,800 classrooms across the state, and establishing GYB Model Science Schools in the state. It also involved training and retraining of teachers across all schools in the state.

Recalled that Bello took a visionary and audacious step on September 21, 2023, by declaring free education from primary school to secondary school levels in all public schools in Kogi State. Furthermore, the government committed to paying examination fees for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB candidates is a testament to the leadership's understanding of the importance of investing in the future.

Bello’s magic wand was also evident in putting an end to the incessant ASUU strike in the state-owned institutions in 2017 through strategic negotiation with stakeholders. The agreement there from normalised activities in the institutions and ensured prompt and regular payment of staff salaries. The development encouraged the governor to establish the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara after obtaining approval from the NUC in 2020. The specialized institution took off in 2021 with 245 students. On February 12, 2022, the Kogi State government disbursed N6b to contractors handling projects in the university while construction of the college of medicine, Prince Abubakar Audu University,Anyigba for full medical accreditation was also getting final requirement. Another deft move in reshaping the education in Kogi State was the establishment of the Kogi State University, Kabba in 2023, making his administration the first to establish and nurture two-state-owned universities under four years. Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja; College of Education, Ankpa; and College of Education Technical, Mopa are not left out too.

In a nutshell and whichever side of the divide in Kogi under Bello , it is incontrovertible that Bello left a legacy for future development in confluence state.

They should arrest everyone involved including sowore, if they born him well let him come to Nigeria. Useless people.

Anyone that disturbed people free movement from henceforth should be arrested.

Even United kingdom arrested protesters.
TruthsFM:
Michael ‘Lenin’ Adaramoye, a mobiliser of the #EndHunger protests in Abuja, has been reportedly arrested in the early hours of Monday by the State Security Service.

Mr Adaramoye, who serves as the national coordinator of the Youth Rights Campaign, was reported around 2:00 a.m., according to Omoyele Sowore, a politician and an activist.

SSS spokesperson Peter Afunanya did not immediately return comments to confirm or deny the arrest.

Mr Adaramoye had on Sunday excoriated President Bola Tinubu’s broadcast for encouraging police brutality against peaceful protesters and “violence and repressions are just attempts to silence and control us, and the propaganda cannot sway or fool us.”

He implied that the president’s address was belated.

“We wish to express our sadness and deep disappointment at the latest broadcast by President Tinubu, which is his first address to the nation on the #EndBadGovernance protests, after over three weeks since Nigerians started mobilising to take to the streets and after scores of dead protesters and assaulted journalists from the first three days of the protests,” Mr Adaramoye said at a presser on Sunday.

Mr Adaramoye added, “Many had requested that the president should just address the nation when the protest was being mobilised and when it started to escalate, but most of us did not know that the president would only justify state violence on protesters and journalists while dismissing the demands of the protesters whenever he decides to speak.

“This, plus the failed attempt to co-opt the progressive and radical language of the protests, only shows how much President Tinubu is out of touch with the masses.“

Mr Adaramoye, in his statement, urged Nigerians “to come out in large numbers to continue these protests on Monday until our demands are met,” asserting that the government’s “two-pronged approach of violence and propaganda has failed.”

Federal high court is a best bet not the president. He can't do anything out of law. She should get a good lawyer to get a restraining order against EFCC and sue them for harassment and abusing her human rights.

chiboyz1:
CEO Of Homadil Realty Writes Open Letter To President Tinubu Over Alleged Rights Abuse,Harrasment By EFFC

The Chief Executive Officer of Homadil Realty Limited, with headquarters in Abuja has written an open letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over alleged rights abuse and harassment by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC).

In the letter the real estate CEO,called on the President to call the EFCC to order.

My name is Rebecca Omokamo Godwin-Isaac (Haija Bilkisu Ishaku Yusuf). I am the Chief Executive Officer of Homadil Realty Limited, headquartered in Abuja.

I am an upright, honest, humble, responsible, hardworking, God-fearing, philanthropic, and law-abiding citizen of Nigeria who believes in the rule of law and the Nigerian legal/judicial system.

I grew up in the ancient commercial city of Kano in Northern Nigeria, raised by missionary parents. Growing up was challenging as my parents struggled to provide for us on their meager missionary stipends. We were brought up with strict moral values, integrity, and honor.

Through determination and the assistance of a few family friends, I gained admission to the University of Maiduguri, where I obtained my BA English Language, a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Planning, and an MBA. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D.

During my university years, I supported myself by traveling to Lagos on weekends to buy goods, which I sold to fellow students for profit. I also sold my bed spaces to wealthy students who couldn't get hostel allocations, using the proceeds to fund my education and support my family. This entrepreneurial experience motivated me to enter the real estate business during my National Youth Service 2009 in Kogi State. I have always maintained a life of celibacy, discipline, and prudence, in line with my upbringing. As a happily married woman, I have never cheated or defrauded anyone. I resolve business issues amicably to ensure client satisfaction, adhering to my philosophy that clients are paramount.

I do not work at Agis; all the lands I have as a developer were purchased. Recently, I have been wrongly accused and subjected to media trials by the EFCC for alleged land grabbing and falsifications, which are attempts to smear my character, destroy my legitimate business, and ridicule me and my family. I am writing this article to state the facts of the case, expose the EFCC's compromised position, and highlight their disregard for court orders.

I purchased a land described as plot 4022 in the Guzape district of Abuja. I validly perfected the land documents with Agis and the Development Control Department of the Federal Capital, obtained all necessary approvals, paid the prescribed fees, and received my certificates of title. I took possession of the land and began development without any issues for over three years.

After substantial progress, including roofing, plastering, and installing utilities, I received a call from the Development Control Department about a petition claiming I had taken over the land illegally. I provided my transaction documents for verification, and the issue was resolved. I continued with the finishing work, moved in with my family, and settled down.

One morning, EFCC operatives stormed my house, chased away my staff, and left a notice on the building. They instructed me to report to their headquarters, which I did through my lawyers due to my business trip. The EFCC levied numerous allegations against me, including the land issue. My lawyers requested a meeting with the complainant for fair hearing, but the EFCC refused, citing confidentiality. When my lawyers insisted, the EFCC threatened severe consequences if I did not hand over the property.

Sensing a lack of fair hearing from the EFCC, I approached the court for justice. I obtained a restraining order against the EFCC, which they blatantly ignored by invading my house, detaining my husband and staff for fourteen days without charging them to court. This behavior by the EFCC reveals their intent to embarrass and humiliate my family and destroy my business.

The EFCC's media publications revealed the petitioner as the faceless YESUFU family and exposed my financial standing, endangering my family. Despite court proceedings, the EFCC and the YESUFU family refuse to appear in court, opting for media trials and harassment instead.

Recently, I embraced Islam and changed my name from Rebecca Omokamo Godwin-Isaac to Bilkisu Ishaku Aliyu, reflecting my new faith and identity. However, the EFCC has attempted to tarnish my reputation by falsely accusing me of fraudulently using multiple names. This baseless accusation is a deliberate attempt to undermine my credibility and discredit my legitimate business endeavors.

I have also learned of plans to arrest me upon my return to Nigeria for making press statements about this issue.

I plead for the intervention of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the EFCC Chairman to call the EFCC operatives to order and allow me to occupy my property without intimidation, harassment, or oppression. My family and staff have been traumatized by the EFCC's unlawful actions, and we now live in constant fear.

Rebecca Omokamo Godwin Isaac(Hajia Bilkisu Ishaku Yusuf).

Recall that the spokesperson of EFCC,Dele Oyewale had in his response told Journalists that EFCC is professional in their duty and do not violate suspects rights and do not detain suspects beyond the constitutional provisions.
Mr Oyewale while stressing that EFFC always effect arrest with arrest warrant also denied allegation that EFCC sponsored publication of the real estate Chief's bank details

Person wey know his work NOT those jobless faceless baseless bitter Obi protesters that want to sale tshirts for 6k and you said you're hungry?

dododawa1:
Wike noted that a hungry man is an angry man, adding that the government has a duty to provide food to the residents, but also has a duty to provide infrastructure.

Wike gave the conditions during a town hall meeting in Abuja on Saturday, to dissuade FCT residents from participating in the nationwide protest.

He explained that the meeting was necessary for stakeholders in the FCT to agree on the need for peace and order, which could not be guaranteed if residents joined the protest.

“Who are these people who want to protest? They have applied to me to grant Eagle Square. Do you apply to me through social media?

“You will write a letter to the minister. I will see you; who are you; what do you want to do? How many days do you want to spend? How much will you pay?"

He said that he watched some unidentified persons on Channels TV news, telling the Inspector General of Police that they had applied.

“You don’t apply to me through Channels; you must apply properly. You must pay what we call security cost so that if there is any damage to the facility, we will take from that security cost and repair it.

“We don’t just give people because you have applied. You must fulfil the conditions. People have paid for Eagle Square, and you said you have applied to me now.

“So, I should go and cancel the other people’s own because you want to protest? It is first come, first served.

“I am not saying that people should not protest, but not protest that is aimed at destabilising the government,” he added.

The minister, who cautioned against a repeat of the #EndSARS protest experience, described Abuja as a centre of unity, adding the FCT Administration would not allow violence in the guise of protest.

He assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu was working to tackle the challenge of hunger and reduce suffering in the country through various policies and programmes.

He added that Tinubu had increased the minimum wage from N30,000 to N70,000 within one year in office.

“That is not enough but it is to show signs that, ‘I appreciate; sign that I know there are problems.’

“He also set up a student loan scheme. This will not solve all the problems but at least, to cushion the hardship a bit.

“We owe him support; we owe him prayer.

“If Nigeria is destabilised, it will affect all of us. So, why are we going to allow this chief propagandist to dish out lies, and stories?" He asked.

He noted that a hungry man is an angry man, adding that the government has a duty to provide food to the residents, but also has a duty to provide infrastructure.

The minister said that roads were being constructed across the six area councils of the FCT to open-up rural areas for sustainable development.

He equally promised that the Abuja University would be established before the end of the current administration.

Also, the FCT Minister of State, Dr Mariya Mahmoud, said that the consultation reflects a shared commitment to fostering peace and collaboration within FCT.

“It is through such collective efforts and open dialogue that we can build stronger, more resilient partnerships and address the challenges we face together.

“It is your involvement that gives us hope for a more peaceful and prosperous future.

“Let me assure you that the FCT Administration will continue to engage you so that we can work together towards our common objectives,” Mahmoud said.

Earlier, Christopher Maikalangu, Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council, emphasised the responsibility of the government to protect lives and property.

Maikalangu expressed the government’s commitment to continue interfacing with the people, adding that dialogue was key to finding lasting solutions to the current hardship in the country and not protests.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the conditions to allow the protest came two days after the minister had warned that FCT would not be available for the intending protesters against hunger and hardship on Aug. 1.

He explained after the FCT Security Council’s meeting on Thursday that Aug. 1 had been set aside for the Chairmen of the six Area Councils of the territory to recognise their traditional rulers.
