HeavenlyBang: Yeah, the best thing about FibreX is that it's not affected by peak usage periods or rain. Usually with mobile data, speeds tend to drop in the evenings. That isn't the case for FibreX. Also completely unaffected by rain.
That said, I had a weird outage last night. Wasn't like previous ones where internet service disappears for a few minutes, this one had my router LOS flashing red for over an hour--indicating a lack of signal entirely. I think likely there was a power outage at the main service point. First time I've had such an occurrence and not something I'm keen on.
Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again. Thanks for this, very helpful. I'm wondering, can I use my MTN 5G Router with it? I'm guessing it will work way better than whatever they're giving for free. It's really a question of if it's compatible with FibreX |
