I got an email this morning stating I'm approved for a visa interview.

I got Aug 13th

It's too close to my resumption date, I hope to get a more better date soon.

😁
When are you resuming?

Excited to hear that. You are welcome
Bro can I try this? I submitted a request for an interview last week Friday, for Lagos, so can I change to Abuja on my CGI profile then request, and the when approved change back to Lagos to schedule an appointment? I'm a bit skeptical about the process... PS, I've not paid my SEVIS fee yet.. please advise

Thank you sir...it went through within 10hours and i changed back to lagos to get a date around Early August

wow, interesting, so your interview will be in Lagos? The initial place you wanted? Have you paid your SEVIS fee?

Change the location on your profile from Lagos to Abuja. You will get approval within 24 hours. Once you are approved, change the location on your profile back to Lagos and then schedule your interview.
Bro is this advisable?any implications? I applied for a date Friday last week.. can I try this or I should just wait a little longer

If someone gets denied this month and their school resumes in July, can they still schedule another interview?
Yes I think you can apply for emergency appointment.. Can you share your transcript here, knowledgeable people could help you review and you see how you can do better

When’s your interview?

Actually, God did it. However, having funding helps. Because she didn’t even ask me questions more than four or so. And when she saw my funding, she said “ohh, you’re a fully funded PhD student”. And I said yes. Then she asked what would u be doing when u come back, and I gave some very stupid answer which wasn’t even coherent..lol..I wasn’t really vocal (was tense and tired and anxious and I was fasting Ramadan too) while answering her, and she was the one that ask me to relax ☺️ lol

She already decided to give the visa after she saw excess funding on my i20. Funding helps , even if it’s little, it will save you from too much talks and unnecessary salaye

Hey 🤠

1. At least you are happy that you got the visa first . Someone who doesn't have a USA visa won't think about bringing in family or wife . Congratulations.

2. Your would-be wife will not have any issue joining you and she doesn't need to join you on F2 visa. She can join you via B2 visiting . Even if she joins you via F2 visa she will still need to change status before she can work because F2 visa is absolute dependent .

3. If i were you (as a smart Nigerian), i will plant a seed in her before traveling and by the time you are in the USA she would delivered . Now tell me the VO who won't allow your wife and kid to visit you ? It might not be in one appearance (depends on how you plan it) but your family will eventually join you. Let her join you on B2 visa later .

Best Wishes 🙏
Please what advice do you have for someone with admission but with neither funding nor scholarship... A sister in the US is the sponsor with good account statement..

Had my F-1 visa interview yesterday for my phd and I got it. Fully funded too. However, I told the consulate that I am single and not married and the VO probably wrote that down right there. However, the possibility of me getting married before I leave for the program is high. Won’t this be an issue for my woman if she starts appearing for a F-2 visa interview in few years to come by God grace?

Well, to add.. I saw family people getting denied yesterday. I don’t know their visa purpose but then going to an F-1 interview with your wife and kid look somehow

Congrats on your visa approval... Bro what would you say gave you an edge, I guess being fully funded right? Or the fact that it's a PhD? I'm going for a msc but with no scholarship or funding just a good account statement from a sister.. any advice?

Hey 🤠

1. If you have the money go and pay your SEVIS fee right away . Otherwise, every other thing is a gamble . SEVIS fee is payable (indirectly) to the USA government. That is part of where they accrue funds in funding International Students Scholarships (Fulbright) and others.

2. You may attach your MRV and Bio-Data page of your Form I 20 to request your F1 emergency appointment but i think SEVIS payment receipt/evidence is required.

Best Wishes 🙏
Thank you.. I appreciate this

Hey 🤠

1. Go ahead and pay your MRV. You will secure your F1 appointment before your resumption. Students are usually given emergency appointment slot priority.

2. However, you must be certain that you have paid your SEVIS fee.

Best Wishes 🙏
Thank you... But I intend to pay my SEVIS fee after getting an interview date... I'm going to pay the MRV today... What do you think? Must I pay the SEVIS fee before getting a date?

The validity date of this exchange rate has been shifted multiple times from April 2 to 6 to 7 and now 9 😯
Imagine.. you reckon it might still be shifted to a further date?

I doubt if your deposition to the question is a major concern. However, you can put any date between earliest admission date and program/school start date, preferably any date one to two weeks before program start date.
This actually makes sense, I appreciate

Apologies.

If you have any pressing question. CC me. When I log back in I'll respond

Bro, I've a question, please while filling your F1 visa form, what are you supposed to write as intended arrival date? I used the resumption date on the form I20 as the intended arrival date? Is it advisable? What do you think is the right date to use.. thanks..
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Greatkenny2: 3:10pm On Apr 01
Hello guys, please what should we put as "intended date of arrival" when filling F1... Is it the actual date the program starts or another, probably few weeks to the date? There's also "earliest admission date" on the I-20 Please what date should we use?

One Obidient asked him to amend the constitution when he comes president (dictatorship and fascist style grin).

Peter Obi replied with a few incoherent words and suddenly stopped speaking and kept quiet half way for like 7 seconds through his sentence ..then he suddenly started speaking again and danced around the question and eventually said it depends on the presidency and that he has to set good example 😂

He could have just said that would have to though the legislature.. Honestly, the man is not very bright
And you had to listen all through the space? Don't you have like Tinubu's birthday to attend or something? You had to listen to a " a not very bright man" speak for over 40 minutes? You agbado people are something else

This is the least thing u should respond to

Whats your input concerning that guys outpour of mind?

Do u think LP are being fair with their selection protocol??
What happened to following the real tenets of the LP where fairness and Equity comes to play?

the op is a mischievous being, he doesn't give a shit about fairness and equity, he only brought this up to gaslight those yorubas that voted obi.. if you can't see this then you're part of the problem. And to answer your question.. most obedients are not labour party members.. they can choose any candidates to support.. now imagine if during the primary and a candidate was handpicked and imposed, you people will still try to cook up all sort of propaganda. Let's just hope for a free and fair elections where any body can vote his choice without intimidation.

What's really happening.... I never supported Tinubu but I never imagined he'd be this terrible. Or are things being exaggerated? Him too, he's not helping matters, imagine approving 24b for pilgrimage in this current state of the country.

Agbado people you say?.. yet your people are flocking into SW en masse to live in midst of agbado people.
Your Chimamanda had to travel all the way to Lagos to launch storybook and seek validation of Agbado people. Just dey play.
Lagos you mean? Everyone goes to Lagos, being the commercial center of Nigeria, the same way people go to Abuja as the capital ... How come no one is "flocking" to osun and ekiti? Again agbado people and foolishness are inseparable... Imagine this child saying chimamanda went to Lagos to launch a book? I guess agbado people are the only ones in Lagos? You're little bit slow.
