Victron refused to sell us Lithium batteries. They insisted on selling us AGM or GEL. Excuse is that they don't sell them in Africa. Absolute horse poop in my opinion.

I see. Probably it is not necessary to use Lithium batteries for common off-grid solar system.

We also sell batteries, as a part of our business, but mostly AGM or GEL, which are demanded by customers.

A few days ago I put up a post saying that Lithium Phosphate or Lithium Ion batteries would be technology of choice in Nigeria within the next 24 months.
Even though your upfront cost might be higher you actual cost is lower. You can go below a 90% SOC. On your traditional batteries you are only allowed to go down to 50% if you don't want to ruin the batteries.
They have longer cycles. (number of time you can charge and discharge them) Up to 3000 vs 1200 for your regular sealed gel batteries.
We hope to have some to test before the end of the year and we will report our experiences to you.

Hi Chris, how are you... I hope you are doing well. How was your test going with the lithium batteries last time... Thank you for a feedback.

To an extent, i think I understand you. However, I'll like you to tutor me on why we can't yet depend fully on Solar energy.
The Lithium ion batteries would be the likes of those found in our laptops and phones right? when i say depend fully on Solar, I mean could there ever be a ' set up' of solar panels and battery, that would to an extent provide a little excessive energy. Ironing, use of pumps or even hair cooling at a comfortable and affordable means.

Firstly, we feel sorry for the late response.

You asked a good question. The combination of solar panel and lead acid battery should be common nowadays, such as in the off-grid solar lighting, solar home system, solar water pumping, etc. While, you may not often see solar panel with lithium ion battery in a project/installation, because the initial cost of a lithium battery is still a little bit high, although its long-term benefits and savings are clear. Another reason is that, solar panel relies on the sunlight to generate adequate electricity, therefore it is usually installed outdoors. For indoor applications, you would scarcely see it.

Science/Technology / Global LED And Smart Streetlight Market Forecast Through 2026 by GrecoSolar(m): 9:05am On Nov 05, 2017
There are currently 315 million total streetlights in the world. This number will grow to 359 million total streetlights by 2026. The public outdoor lighting market is currently undergoing a period of change where legacy streetlights are being replaced with new and more efficient LED, or solid-state lighting technology. Taking this new technology a step further, these LED streetlights are also being networked together with communications to become “smart” streetlights.

LED streetlights will transform cities and municipalities across the globe over the next decade. LEDs offer longer lifetimes, lower energy consumption, and reduced maintenance expenses when compared with legacy streetlight technologies. In most developed countries, LEDs are already an economically beneficial alternative to existing streetlights over the lifetime of the streetlight when energy savings are considered, despite their higher upfront cost. But in the next few years, LED streetlights are expected to reach cost parity with legacy technologies (and in some cases already have), making their benefits to costs immediately positive. At this point, they will make economic sense as replacements in almost all countries. Also, many emerging market countries are rapidly urbanizing and in need of improved urban infrastructure, creating further drivers for this market. From 2016 to 2026, global investment in LED street lighting is expected to be $57 billion.

But LEDs are not the sole element in modernized public outdoor lighting. Networked “smart” streetlights help cities further reduce costs with their dimming capabilities and reduced maintenance costs. As the costs for networked streetlights also rapidly decline, these smart streetlights will find a growing role in cities and municipalities across the globe. Smart street lighting is already taking off in major markets such as the US, UK, and China. In many developed countries, smart streetlights are serving as part of larger “smart city” concepts, where communications networks can be used to link items such as electricity and water meters, traffic lights, and parking meters. Smart streetlights also greatly improve safety conditions in a city by reducing the “down time” of streetlights. As soon as lamps expire, officials are notified, so streets rarely go without lighting. In many emerging market metropolises and US cities-that are managing rising street crime, this will be a particularly strong benefit.

Overall, the LED and smart streetlight market remains young, and some challenges must be overcome. Most importantly, costs must continue to fall for financing to be feasible in many countries - so far costs have continued to fall at a rapid rate. Even so, vendor-led financing (i.e. performance contracting) must continue to develop to enable projects in many geographies. In some emerging market countries, multilateral financing can help overcome these challenges, and in 2014 the World Bank announced a $1 billion fund exclusively for LED street lighting. Another challenge is a lack of standardization. Particularly for networked streetlights, undeveloped standards could limit vendors’ ability to meet rising demand across the globe. Finally, a general preference towards conservatism could lead some cities to stick with legacy technologies even in the face of clear savings from LED and smart streetlights.

Back in 2012, a survey was conducted of over 100 US cities, towns, and municipalities that were on the vanguard of LED streetlight deployments. The response was overwhelmingly positive from these early adopters - residents complimented the better light, law enforcement officials praised safety improvement, and cities overall showed significant cost savings. Since then, the business case for LED and smart streetlights has only grown stronger. Improvements in technology have driven costs down while improving the quality of the lights. The most recent 2016 assessment of over 1,000 LED projects in over 90 countries shows that these benefits are shared by cities and municipalities across the globe. Given these clear advantages, LED and smart streetlights are projected to reach 89% and 42% of the total streetlight market, respectively, by 2026. This will total a $69.5 billion market opportunity over the next decade.

Science/Technology / Solar Power And LED Lighting Are Among Important Solutions To Global Warming by GrecoSolar(m): 9:52am On Sep 14, 2017
The 2015 Paris Climate Conference COP 21 opened in Paris and had seen delegates from 190 countries working to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate, with the aim of keeping global warming below 2°C. Sustainability is one of the keywords of this big event. Renewable energies such as solar photovoltaic power and energy efficient technology including LED lighting are among the most important solutions to global warming.

Unfortunately, until now, when talking about business, the environment is never the first concern. But when sustainability becomes a help more than a must, delivering not just more sustainable energy but also financial benefits, both business and the environment can benefit. Finally, some of the world’s biggest brands and promising startups have understood this point.

US tech giant Apple recently invested US$848 million in a solar photovoltaic plant in Monterey County, in order to power almost all of its offices and retail stores in the state of California. The project will result in significant energy cost savings for the company. As CEO Tim Cook told investors: "We are doing this because it's right to do it, but you may also be interested to know that it's good financially, because we have a fixed price for the renewable energy which would last over 25 years, and there's quite a difference between that price and the price of brown energy.”

In June 2015, Amazon announced an 80MW, US$150 million solar project in Virginia. The solar farm will be the largest solar installation in Virginia and will be used to power the data centers of the company in the state. The project is in line with Amazon’s goal of using 40% renewable energy sources by the end of 2016 and 100% in the long term. The company announced that the electricity produced by the farm will light up the equivalent of 15,000 US homes each year. One of the reasons behind this investment is a decline in costs in the renewables sector (from about US$0.15 per kWh a decade ago to about US$0.05 today).

It’s not only solar that can benefit businesses. Catching up with the same trend of moving towards sustainability, Walmart has announced a global transition to LED lighting in the year of 2015, with the purpose of lighting up its stores all over the world. This project reflects the company’s goal to reduce the power it uses per square foot of floor space by 20% before the year 2020. According to Doug McMillon, president and CEO of Wal-Mart: "LEDs have become an integral part of our energy-efficiency model for our stores and play a key role in achieving our overall sustainability goals. Just as important, the energy cost savings coming from these innovations will help us maintain the low prices our customers depend on us to provide."

This combination of sustainable energy solutions and business does not belong to only big brands. In London lies an ambitious startup company called Powervault which specializes in storage batteries that collect power generated by residential solar panels and discharges it around the home when needed. The 150kg battery unit is about the size of a washing machine, and stores 2-4 kWh, which is enough energy to power a television for between 14-28 hours. Savings from the device are said to be an estimated 15% off a consumer’s electricity bills.

Emerging markets are a part of this movement as well. One interesting example is Vortex Engineering, an Indian startup that provides automated teller machines (ATMs) and associated services for banks. For its products, the company has chosen solar power. The ATMs use the same amount of energy as a conventional light bulb, and can operate without air conditioning up to a temperature of 50°C. They emit at least 18,500 kg fewer CO2 emissions each year, when compared to conventional ATMs. On this initiative, Kannan Lakshminarayan, co-founder and chief technology officer at Vortex Engineering, stated: “Our ATM is a customized solution to rural India’s unique problems where power is scarce, accessibility is poor, crisp notes are rare and the language and dialects vary.”

As awareness of the issue grows, more examples are being added to this list. Some of the largest companies in the US, including Walmart, Coca-Cola and Google, have signed up to the American Business Act on Climate Pledge, committing to reduce their carbon footprints. Although many of the commitments under the pledge were not new, the White House stated that the news showed the private sector to be “committed to stepping up and doing its part in taking on this global challenge”.

Meanwhile, on the opening day of the climate change summit 2015 in Paris, world business leaders including Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Richard Branson and other high-profile entrepreneurs pledged to spark a “new economic revolution” based around clean energy after launching a new investment drive for renewables. The Breakthrough Energy Coalition, made up of more than 25 investors from 10 countries will mainly invest in early-stage clean energy companies across a range of sectors. The business world is finally taking sustainable energy solutions seriously.

Access Infra Africa launched the fund in April.
Business To Business / Solar Lighting Is Expanding In Developing Countries by GrecoSolar(m): 12:10pm On Oct 21, 2015
Over 13 million off-grid quality verified solar products have been sold to date in developing countries, representing a new market worth $300 million annually. In Africa alone, sales have tripled in the last three years providing affordable, clean modern lighting for 35 million rural Africans, according to a new report to be released later this month by the World Bank Group and the Global Off-Grid Lighting Association (GOGLA), in partnership with Bloomberg New Energy Finance.

The report’s findings mark a major increase in the number of people benefitting from cleaner, safer homes, with more productive study and work time, yielding economic benefits. At present, over 1 billion people live without access to basic electricity service. The progress achieved by this rapidly growing industry is important to the global development agenda, as with the UN’s recently-agreed ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ targeting universal energy access by 2030. The detailed findings of the report will be announced at the 4th International Off-Grid Lighting Conference and Exhibition in Dubai, which is co-organized by GOGLA and the World Bank Group’s Lighting Global program.

Koen Peters, Executive Director of GOGLA, says: “Solar lighting in the developing world was virtually nonexistent ten years ago. In recent years, we’ve seen great innovation and development in the industry, with companies proving they can deliver real impacts. The potential to improve lives is phenomenal. Yet we’ve only just begun to address the enormous demand from households for affordable electrical services. It is critical that we build on the early successes and work with governments and donors to grow this market and achieve our goal of delivering basic electricity to every household before 2030.”

Solar lighting (e.g. integrated solar lights) and solar household electrification (portable solar power systems) products have now evolved together with business models to deliver the products to market at unprecedented rates. As a result, many businesses are now providing low income households in Africa and Asia with affordable, high quality lighting, phone charging and other basic solar-powered energy services. Investment in the sector has rapidly increased, with several companies having attracted investments of over $20 million.
Science/Technology / Replace Kerosene Lamps With Cleaner And Safer Solar Lights by GrecoSolar(m): 10:32am On Oct 21, 2015
Nigeria could save US$1.4 billion a year and avoid using 17.3 million barrels of crude oil if it used modern off-grid lighting solutions.

That’s one finding of a new UN study into lighting in Africa, a continent that relies heavily on kerosene, candles and batteries to light homes.

In West Africa alone, 76% of the population lacks access to electricity and spends up to 20% of the household budget on kerosene for lighting.

Not only do these practices release huge levels of carbon emissions, they also contribute to lung complaints and are huge polluters across the continent.

The research forms part of an initiative from the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) to accelerate the deployment of energy efficient light bulbs and LEDs and small scale solar panels in 50 developing countries.

“Replacing the world’s 670 million kerosene lamps with cleaner, safer solar-powered lighting represents a major opportunity to deliver across multiple fronts,” UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner said. “From cuts in global carbon emissions, health risks from indoor air pollution, support for green technologies and the generation of green jobs.”

Globally, UNEP says over 1.3 billion people live without access to electric light, while 25 billion litres of kerosene are used annually to fuel the world’s kerosene lamps, costing US$23 billion each year.

The agency says this has an even higher price tag if government subsidies are taken into account.

According to a UNEP assessment released in June 2012, 5% of global electricity consumption could be saved every year through a transition to efficient lighting, resulting in annual worldwide savings of over US$110 billion.

The yearly savings in electricity of the phase-out would be equivalent to closing over 250 large coal-fired power plants, or the emissions of more than 122 million mid-size cars.

Off grid power generation is an issue that is being taken increasingly seriously across Africa – where consumers spend between US$12-17 billion a year on fuel-based lighting.

Small and remote communities often do not have access to national electricity grids, which can also be unreliable and susceptible to blackouts.
Business To Business / Photovoltaic Solar Panels Global Shipments To Increase 10 Percent In 2016 by GrecoSolar(m): 1:30pm On Oct 16, 2015
Photovoltaic solar panels shipments globally are expected to increase 10% year on year in 2016, according to US market research company IHS.

The main drivers of this growth will be a more stable pricing and an increasing demand from »established regional markets«. Global module shipments will reach $41.9 billion in 2016, up 4% from the previous record, which was set in 2010. Furthermore, IHS reports that global solar panels shipments will rise 29% year on year to reach 18.7 GW in the fourth quarter of this year.

According to IHS, however, the global solar market will register a considerable drop in 2017 due to the expiration of the federal investment tax credit (ITC) in the US, which is expected to lead to a fall in global demand for PV modules. IHS believes that global demand could also drop by 9% in 2017. »Even so, the predicted slowdown in global demand in 2017 -- on the back of a decline in the United States -- is likely to challenge these suppliers once again, since manufacturing capacity additions are set to dangerously outpace industry demand. Competition will intensify, which will lead to accelerating declines in prices and gross margins, for the first time since 2012.« said Edurne Zoco, senior principal analyst for IHS Technology.

Science/Technology / Solar Power And Lithium Are Future Energy Solutions by GrecoSolar(m): 4:55am On Aug 17, 2015
Solar power is already a major force in the world energy generation, and with the advent of even more available options for lithium-ion batteries, the two are quickly becoming the must-have combination for all your energy needs.

But this powerful partnership is more than just a passing trend or fad – it’s the future of off-the-grid energy.

What makes the combined strength of solar panels and lithium power so future-oriented? Here are four of the many reasons why you should be plugging into the combination of solar power and lithium:

Reason #1: Low-Resistance Charging

Lithium-ion batteries are a perfect match for solar energy. This is because lithium batteries require low-resistance charging, which is precisely the power that solar panels provide. As a result, very little energy is wasted in the charging process.

In addition, lithium batteries charge faster in general, making solar panel arrays a better choice for charging since their use is limited to daylight hours.

Reason #2: Longer Life Cycle

Lithium-ion batteries have a much longer life span than other battery power solutions, with a life cycle that’s ten times the length of lead acid batteries. Not only does this mean you have longer lasting, consistent power, but it’s also good news for your solar power/lithium combined setup.

Since the initial installation of a solar power system is so time intensive, you want a battery that matches the life cycle of your solar panels and doesn’t require frequent maintenance or replacement. Because both solar power and lithium batteries have longer life cycles, they’re well matched to provide you with consistent energy over the long term.

Reason #3: Cost Savings Over Time

Traditional lead acid batteries aren’t as expensive as lithium-ion solutions. But once you factor in the cost of frequent replacement, lead acid batteries are easily the most expensive batteries on the market. This doesn’t even take into account the investments of time and effort or any installer costs, which may be even higher with frequent replacement.

Lithium batteries, on the other hand, save you time and money throughout their life span. While initially more expensive, their return on investment in energy savings, ease of use, length of life cycle and streamlined replacement all translate into higher cost savings in the long run. Once you combine these savings with free solar power, the best investment choice is clear.

Reason #4: Virtually Maintenance Free

Unlike other battery solutions, lithium-ion batteries don’t require you to check or increase water levels every three months. Also, lithium batteries are much more portable than lead acid batteries, making them easier to move or change when needed.

Furthermore, lithium power is clean, reducing your maintenance worries. Unlike lead acid batteries, which may create harmful gases when stored in poorly ventilated areas, there’s no need to worry about gaseous toxic buildup from lithium power solutions.

The power generated from your solar arrays is just as clean as lithium power and reduces greenhouse gas emissions, unlike traditional power sources that may have a larger carbon footprint.

The combination of solar power with lithium batteries is the best energy solution for today and for tomorrow. From low-resistance charging to greater time and cost savings, the solar/lithium partnership puts your energy worries to rest.

Greco Solar is a professional solar panel manufacturer, and is one of the first companies that has combined solar power, lithium battery and LED technologies into its revolutionary ‘All-in-One’ integrated solar LED light system. Business To Business / Solar LED Integrated Lights Unveiled By Greco by GrecoSolar(m): 10:58am On Jul 27, 2015
Solar LED integrated lights, are currently the most innovative solar lighting systems for outdoor use. It is considered as the next generation of lighting system for roads, streets and other open air places.

Originally developed by Greco Solar China, with the company cutting edge solar power technologies, these integrated solar LED lights have a revolutionary 'all-in-one' design structure, unlike any other traditional solar lights you can find in the market. All of the components have been combined into a compact and weather proof body, with no external wiring and connections. No cabling or trenching needed for users.

One of the features of the solar LED integrated light is that it adopts high efficiency lithium-ion batteries (LiFePO4) as its energy storage unit, while most of others use lead acid batteries. This ensures a longer service life of integrated solar lights comparing to average lights. The lithium battery pack is built in the body, together with solar panel, LEDs and intelligent controller, etc.

If you would like to light up your small gardens or courtyards, these 5W integrated solar lights should be a good choice. The 5W integrated solar light from Greco Solar is the smallest outdoor solar light, which has multiple features. It has a built-in light sensor, that can automatically turn on the light at dusk and turn it off at dawn. The solar panel harnesses the sunlight and generates solar electricity in the daytime, provides power charging to the lithium batteries. The battery pack will automatically power the LED lamp at night. The 5W integrated solar light offers a 5VDC USB port on its shell, so that users can use it to recharge mobile phones or small electronic devices.

Its Battery Capacity Display is 4 LEDs, from which you could know roughly the remaining level of battery power. The 5W integrated solar light also has a built-in motion sensor that is able to regulate the light output between bright mode and dim mode.

Science/Technology / Photovoltaic Solar Panels And Its Working Principles by GrecoSolar(m): 2:34pm On Jul 23, 2015
A Layman's Handbook to Aluminum Welding Solar is one of the most promising green energy sources in the world. Solar technology was pioneered and popularized in Western industrialized nations but has now spread rapidly into the developing world, with China and India some of the most eager adopters of solar power. Solar power is broadly generated by two main generation models – large, ground-mounted solar farms and distributed photovoltaic solar panels found on the rooftops of offices, shops, factories and homes. Most of these solar panels are manufactured with monocrystalline or polycrystalline technologies.

A photovoltaic solar panel is a large flat rectangle made up of many individual solar energy collectors called solar cells covered with a protective sheet of glass. They are sometimes called photovoltaic (PV) cells because they use sunlight to make electricity. Solar panels generate electricity either as individual units or as part of a solar array – many solar panels combined together.

A photovoltaic solar panel captures electromagnetic radiation from the sun using the solar cells, which are made with two layers of a semiconducting material called silicon. When this radiation is absorbed, a chemical reaction occurs in the cells, which breaks up electrons from atoms. The free electrons jump around to generate electricity which cannot yet be used. They have to reach the electric field at the junction between the layers of silicon; once they get close enough to reach the junction into the top layer of silicon a force pushes the electrons out of the cell and into metal conductor strips embedded in the cell, generating electricity.

In this solar generation process, a solar panel creates direct current (DC) electricity which flows into a solar inverter and other electrical safety devices. The inverter converts that DC power into alternating current (AC). AC power is the kind of electric juice used by electronic products ranging from servers and printers to televisions, computers and even toasters.

Once a solar panel or solar array is installed it can be left to generate clean electricity. Photovoltaic solar panels don’t produce any harmful carbon emissions and they don’t make noise. They just sit there and do their job.

It is important to understand how does a solar panel work in order to maximize their efficiency. Once you do that, you will be able to save money on bills each month, and enjoy green energy in the same time.

Integrated solar LED light, also known as integrated solar street light, is a perfect combination of high efficiency solar panel, long life lithium-ion battery, high efficiency LEDs and intelligent controller, PIR human body sensing module, security mounting brackets and other functional elements. A smaller power integrated solar LED light is also called integrated solar garden light. As a leading solar power company, Greco Solar is the pioneer of solar LED integrated lighting technology and solution in the world.

The integrated solar LED lights use solar panels to produce electricity, and to charge the lithium batteries inside the lighting fixtures. During the day, even on cloudy days, the solar panel harnesses the sunlight and converts it into electrical energy, which is then stored in lithium battery, to automatically provide power to LED lamp at night. With the inclusion of PIR human body induction module, the working mode of integrated solar light can be regulated intelligently at night. It is on 100% brightness when a human motion is detected, and automatically changes to 1/3 brightness when there is no human activity. Through this way, the light can save energy and extend its working time. At the same time, solar energy, which is inexhaustible, safe and environment friendly, plays an important role in integrated solar lighting solutions.

Both integrated solar street light and integrated solar garden light are members of Greco integrated solar light family. The compact style of these lights from Greco Solar has incorporated the current best green items (solar panels, super bright LED light source, lithium iron phosphate batteries). With human intelligent sensing system, the Greco integrated solar LED light has achieved lower power consumption, longer working time, and maintenance free for least 5 years from installation.

The integrated solar lights are suitable for installations in various traffic roads, residential pathways, yards, mining areas, off-grid places, parks, parking lots, rural areas, providing bright and reliable night time lighting, with solar as its energy supply.

The advantages of integrated solar LED lights are light weight and easy-to-install. Generally, two persons could complete the installation with a wrench within 10 to 20 minutes.

The integrated solar light adopts integrated design, which is simple, stylish, light weight, and practical :

- Use of solar power as its energy supply

Business To Business / Integrated Solar LED Lights Need To Ensure Quality Rather Than Fight For Price by GrecoSolar(m): 2:00pm On Jun 24, 2015
Thanks to the promotion of government’s energy conservation policy and the enhancement of outdoor solar LED lighting technology, there is a trend to replace traditional road or street lamps with integrated solar LED lights in a growing number of countries and regions. The huge development space of integrated solar LED lights has attracted a large number of LED enterprises to enter this market. As a result, there has been a war between the price and quality in solar LED light market. In fact, this phenomenon is more serious in LED lights. However, traffic lighting is very important to vehicles and humans’ safety on road, so integrated solar LED lights need to ensure quality rather than to fight for price !

The enormous profit margin of solar LED road lights has lead to cut - throat competition, and product price is getting lower and lower. There was an old saying in solar LED lighting market ‘There is no cheapest, only cheaper.’ It has caused a headache to many LED businesses which focus on quality, because there is a variety of price in market. For non-professional consumers and customers, many of them only see the current profit, without considering much more in a long term. These consumers and customers will more likely choose a relatively cheaper product.

However, outdoor lighting itself should request high quality. Traffic lighting should be a part of infrastructure as a public lighting, which requires high quality solar LED lights, so that it can be cost effective not only from the aspect of lighting, energy saving and emission reduction, but also from maintenance in a later stage.

At present, the competition of integrated solar LED lights have changed from volume and cost to the quality. This is undoubtedly good news to high-quality integrated solar LED lights manufacturers, but the price of high quality lights is still a little bit expensive, and the recovery of manufacturing cost is very slow. "Therefore, in order to win the war between price and quality, manufacturers have to increase additional value of their products, and in the meantime reduce production costs.", commented by Greco Solar, a solar power and integrated solar lighting company.

Science/Technology / Advantages Of Solar Panels by GrecoSolar(m): 2:24pm On Jun 23, 2015
Solar panels, or photovoltaic panels, can be used to harness sunlight and convert it into electrical power for residential and commercial uses. Being firstly deployed in aerospace back to the 1950s, solar panels have been used for over half century in specialized fields. Advantages of solar panels have already been proved by the professionals, but these principal advantages of solar panels are summarized as below :

Solar panels only rely on the sun as its energy source to produce electricity. The sun delivers enough energy in one hour to meet global energy needs for an entire year. Electricity production from the sun through solar panels has already been regarded as one of the sustainable power generation technologies. Conversely, traditional electricity production uses fossil fuels as its energy sources, which have limited reserves and will not last too long before being used up.

Solar panels are pollution free when producing electricity. Solar panels don’t use any fossil fuels other than the light from the sun, hence they simply don’t give off harmful substances including carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide to the environment. In addition, a solar panel doesn’t have any moving parts, which make the whole process of power generation noiseless.

Solar panels are easy-to-install and need very little maintenances. The installation of solar panels is virtually plug and play. They could be either set up on a ground or mounted on a roof-top. Solar panels have no moving parts, and once installed in places, they can operate as long as at least 25 years, so maintenance is kept at the minimum level.

Solar panels are cost effective on long-term basis. Installation of solar panels for homes and businesses could decrease or even eliminate utility power bills for decades to come. A solar photovoltaic power system is estimated to pay back itself in 8 to 12 years. After the initial installation costs have been recouped, the system will produce totally free electricity within its life with almost no operating and maintenance costs.

Solar panels can raise the value of a house or building. Through a research carried out in California, United States, it shows that the installation of a home solar power system can actually increase the value of the home.

Solar panels are becoming more and more affordable for everyone. The costs of solar panels have declined and the levelised cost of electricity (LCOE) from solar power is now competitive with conventional electricity productions. In some countries, there are also a number of financial incentives such as rebates and feed-in-tariffs offered by governments to support solar panel installations.

Advantages of solar panels are still more, and may not be fully covered. There has never been a better time to go solar and maximize your power savings while reducing carbon emissions. Greco Solar is a trusted supplier of high quality and affordable monocrystalline and polycrystalline photovoltaic solar panels in China .To learn more about Greco solar panels, you are encouraged to visit its corporate website.

Why bordering yourself with Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) Bills accumulation, when you can get and generate 24HRS/7Day uninterrupted power supply with inverter and solar system.

Inverter and Solar System will liberate you from constant Black-Out and the harassment of NEPA Officials

We give you a design that is accurate to the capacity and specification of Loads /appliance of your demand.

See, my friends, your own house appliances will run without Electric supply, No NEPA Bill, Reduction of Fuel expense, by generating your power supply with luminous inverters/Solar System
The national power provider in Nigeria popularly called NEPA is probably the most useless government company or organization in Africa, if not in the world.

Power supply is almost absent despite billions of dollars earmarked for this company annually. The problem with IKEDC has been treated in several ways without any outstanding result. Power supply in Nigeria is worse than a nightmare.
Every Nigerian family/household now has a generator. The size, numbers and quality of your generation is even a revelation of your economic strength. Therefore generators have names and one popular one is “I pass my neighbor”. I pass my neighbor is the smallest generators you can buy and if your neighbor doesn’t have any, definitely you are richer than him/her.
What is even worse is that you will pay monthly for electricity bills whether you have used it or not. IKEDC is a government agency in Nigeria that is duping the people of billions of naira across the country every day.

Inverter and Solar System are technically much more advanced as compared to generators which are noisy, polluting and need starting that usually requires pulling chords-a feat not suited to ladies and children.
Besides, they are often dangerous and can lead to fire and accidents.
Storage of fuel too is a major fire hazard. Inverter automatically takes over in case of power failure and switches off when power supply is restored; one does not even realize that there is a power failure. It is for these very reasons that INVERTERS are PREFERRED over GENERATORS throughout the WORLD. All you have to do is FIX and FORGET, the inverter does the rest.
