But sometimes the issue is properly fixable once accurate diagnosis is carried out by the right hands.

I’ve already gone through multiple diagnostics and repair attempts on it, so at this point I’m not looking to continue repairs or re-diagnosis.

I’m just taking my next steps from here. Appreciate your time and input.

Car developed a timing chain-related fault with rattling noise, after which it was worked on (top was opened and attempts made to resolve it). It lost compression gradually and eventually stopped running.

Further repair attempts were made (including partial engine work and replacement suggestions), but it remains non-starting.

However, gearbox, ECU, body, interior and other major components are still intact.

Considering selling mine off as-is and moving on... incompetent mechanics will frustrate you.

I want honest market opinions from serious buyers/mechanics/dealers.

Vehicle:

* Kia Rio 2016 EX
* Automatic transmission
* G4FC 1.6 GDi engine
* Approx. 122,000km
* Papers intact
* Registered
* Location: Rivers State

Current status:
Car is currently non-running due to engine issues after multiple repair attempts by mechanics who claimed to be Kia experts. Body, transmission, interior, ECU and other components still intact.

Note: I currently do not have recent pictures available.I didn’t post old pictures so as not to mislead anyone. I’ll share clear recent photos once available

I am considering selling it as-is instead of continuing repairs.

If you are a serious buyer/dealer/mechanic:

* How much realistically would you pay?
* What would you value it at in the current Nigerian market?
