Mayflowa: I agree with you that transparency should be a key process in retirement contributions. If the contributions were invested properly, he would have nothing less than 10m naira after 35 years. But our pension managers are fraudulent. They deduct money for managing the money and the money never yield interest. I am referring to banks! Workers should be given the opportunity to switch fund manager if the one they are using is not doing well. And their money should be invested only in secured investments like Bonds and Treasury Bills. I hope the next generation will wake-up and have more say in their future. |

Mayflowa: I am not sure anybody stole his money except pension investors. The Economy became bad otherwise 2m ought to build a house and buy a car. Assuming N5000 was saved from his monthly salary every month ( in 1990s and early 2000s, police superintendents don’t even earn N5000 per month), that will be N2.1m for 35 years without investment interest. And we know Nigeria mess up pension investment interests What about the interest from investing those contributions for the pass 35 years? There should be transparency in this thing so that they can see what they have contributed, what are being invested, the interest from such investments and the total balance at the end of the day. Transparency is very important here. |

Preciousgirl: What happens to a man after he dies From a biblical and spiritual perspective? Man is a composite being made up of body, soul and spirit. All put in man at conception by the Creator. When one dies, the body, been a material entity return to the ground. The Spirit returns to God. The spirit is how we connect with God. It keeps faith memory of our life. The soul, which is our individuality faces immediate or particular judgment which determines where it goes to receive the rightful reward of the life lived on earth. Before the resurrection of Christ, all souls go to limbo - a kind of waiting place for the righteous who were qualified to enter the kingdom of God but couldn't because Christ had not opened it yet. But after the resurrection of Christ, the righteous soul goes straight to the kingdom of God to be rewarded. Note: Some souls who are neither pure enough to enter God's presence nor a they sinners to be commended can under goes purgation. |

cezarman: Bro, there was a time I passed out for several hours, and then I woke up in the hospital. At a point a friend asked me what I wss seeing all the time I was unconscious. I had no answer because I had no memory of anything. It was like I never existed, No thoughts, no memory... It was just NOTHING. For days, I kept thinking and trying to make out where my consciousness must have been or gone during that time, but it was blank... Not even a dream sef. Now, I consider passing out for hours closer to death than our regular night sleep. Having no experience whatsoever while I was out, I started ruling out the possibility of an afterlife.
Maybe we just live, die and that's it... It would be a shame though! Life is bigger than Consciousness. That you lacked memory at the time doesn't give an answer to what life AFTER here entails. |

Many pastors get their Bsc in theology from their various churches. What do you want The point is these Christian institutions follow the standard by ensuring that their students present the standard and generally accepted certificates which are WAEC/NECO and UTME. There no special Christian examination body that replaces the SSCE and UTME. So those who want to study Islamic courses should use the standard SSCE and UTME. |

The post claims Edo and Delta states were carved out from the Bendel state in 1991. But failed to state when Bendel state was created?
That is a very serious lapse in my opinion.
To reduce the great Benin Kingdom to being birthed in 1991 because there is no mention of when it was created.
Anyone learning history can be misled by this error.
Sometimes, it is better not to even school people than do and make a grave error. You are right. It should have been a total chronicle of state creation in Nigeria. |

I'm disappointed. You said it was supreme court rulling which I know there is nothing of such, hence the reason I was pressing that you should provide your proof. Until the state high court's verdict scales appeal and Supreme Court's rullings, the current ruling of the state high court isn't holding water yet.
Like I said previously, you guys can't cross over Itobe or river Niger bridge to come and claim Ajaokuta. There was never a time that Ajaokuta belonged to Igala, and it won't happen.
You said Igala gave Ebira land, now I request you back it up with a proof. Thank you 😁 The proof you request for is in the documents, facts and evidences presented to the court of law that made them give their verdict or do you think law is based on sentiments and emotions? 😎. |

Coolsat: I wonder how the igalas would even lay claim to a place they had to cross river Niger to settle. Topography does not lie. No judgement was passed in favour of the igalas over ajaokuta, it was in favour of Kogi Central(Ebiras). Stop misleading the public or go ask some questions before spreading lies. Water is not necessarily the delimiting factor that marks the territory of a particular ethnic group. Concerning the judgement ask around and you will discover there was actually a judgement like that. Attah Igala gave Lokoja to Lugard. This was affirmed in that Supreme Court judgement with document to prove that |

lexy2014: is a catholic priest supposed to be married?
if he chooses to marry, does he continue to be a catholic priest?
how does suspension suspend him from being a priest since he is married?
how does abandoning catholic priesthood by getting married leave "a seal or scar on his soul that cannot be erased"?
if he is a catholic priest and decides to marry, of what effect is the suspension? You can not be helped. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Warri Catholic Bishop Suspends Priest For Getting Married by Greenlandncom(m): 11:27am On Jan 20, 2025 |
lexy2014: as he is married, does he still remain a catholic priest because he has not been "released"? That is what the suspension means, he can no longer practice if he decides to come back and it's also an official warning to all that he no longer represents the Church. Theological, it's believed that he is a priest forever, even if he abandons it. It leaves a seal or scar on his soul that cannot be erased. So suspension means, he can no longer function. |

lexy2014: good. hence my questions.
1. if he has released himself by getting married, which other official release can release him?
2. which ministry has he abandoned?
3. how has the disciplinary measure "disciplined" him now that he is married?
4. someone that said he wants to be released from his his priestly responsibilities, how did he err and how does the suspension serve as a disciplinary measure? I have said this severally. He CANNOT release himself. He has to be released. What he simply did was to err. To be released, he has to apply officially and there are processes and procedures for that to happen. Let's even take a legally contracted marriage, does the marriage end simply by abandoning it or does one have to go through the legal process and procedure for the marriage to be dissolved? The same concept applies here. |

If no how can he release himself? He has to be fully and officially released until then, he is still a Priest but an erring one. If you know anything about the military that's even an earthly stuff and can't just go like that without being released, that would be an AWOL an you will be wanted. |
