Foreign Affairs › Re: The US/Israel-Iran War: Did Donald Trump Miscalculate? by Greenodds: 7:41pm On Mar 20 |
7 Omowale2023: No, he didn't, everything is going according to the plan. Even Israel is not worried. So let's all sit back and enjoy the show. People's expectations are off the roof, they(Public) expected a clean sweep, but we the general public are not war experts so we don't know and don't have first-hand information on what's going on. Finally, USA & Israel won't start what dey can't finish, or go to war with someone they can't win. It's totally impossible. Your own words "we the general public are not war experts so we don't know and don't have first-hand information on what's going on." Also you " everything is going according to the plan." Sometimes we just open our mouths and talk without thinking. All I can say is you don't know what the hell is going on so would you please just shut up ? |

Romance › Re: Who Do You Think Is Right In This Situation? by Greenodds: 9:15pm On Feb 18 |
Freshtruth: A church recently raised ₦960,000 for a member who was very sick. His hospital bill was ₦210,000 an amount he and his family could not afford.
During a service, the pastor announced; “Our brother is hospitalized and needs ₦210,000. Let us support him.” Members began donating generously and by the end of the service, the total reached ₦960,000.
Afterwards, the pastor counted the money, gave ₦210,000 to the sick man’s brother to pay the hospital, and deposited the remaining ₦750,000 into the church account.
The problem started when the family became upset. They argued that all the money should have gone to their brother, not just the hospital bill, because people donated out of compassion to help him with recovery, medicines and daily needs.
The pastor, however, said he only requested ₦210,000 and once that target was met, any extra money belonged to the church.
The way this situation is now.. What is your take on this?
Who do you think is right in this situation? 🤔 People donated to the member not the church. That pastor should do the right thing. If the church needs money he should raise money for the church. |

Politics › Re: Opposition Lawmakers Stage Walkout As Reps adopt Manual Transmission of results by Greenodds: 4:28pm On Feb 17 |
ChukwuObe: But why do we have so many dumb people in this country? Any law without a provision if the clause fails is bound to cause and create chaos. Imagine there is no network in Obi's polling unit, will they be happy if the results of the votes are not counted just because the e-transmission is not possible? What happens if some people spend lots of money to buy signal jamming equipment and deploy it in their opponent's region to prevent e-transmission, will they not be crying if the results are voided? Please use your brain. Imagine if card reader was made mandatory when Jonathan biometrics could not be captures, would he have voted without manual option? If With 800 billion naira inec can't guarantee realtime smooth electronic result transmission then the chairman should resign. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: A Lady Sparks Outrage Online Over Jobs & Earnings In Nigeria. What Is Your Take? by Greenodds: 8:24am On Feb 16 |
Kaczynski: There are jobs in that pay well, the matter is entirely a skill issue, most people want jobs but they lack the skills. Imagine an civil engineer that does not know autocad or a software engineer that cannot implement a data structure.
the mere fact most people rather splurge their earnings on material items like car, tv. Instead of them to diversify their income they are thinking of purchasing a brand new car. I pity who will marry this one because you are engaging yourself with a liability instead of asset. Like what jobs |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Trump: Businessday Cartoon by Greenodds: 2:03pm On Jan 23 |
nairalanda1: I know you won't be happy to hear this, but the reason why nigeria cannot divide peacefully is because of the nature of our economy, which is basically sharing the money at abuja.
If all the states were producing industrial goods and services, and had good transport links and were not relying on oil money, maybe I can hope for peaceful division. But that is the problem. All states rely on oil money, and division is going to trigger fight for oil money.
Plus all the advocates for division comes from the oppositon. Once upon a time tinubu when he was in oppositon was saying that Nigeria unity is problematic, now check out what he is saying.
And many of them biafra advocates, once it is election thime, they forget about biafra...and start chanting Nigeria.
It's all about sharing money, which is why any division will end in tears. See Sudan and South Sudan. Even me thought the division was for the best. Instead both of them are in crisis, North sudan essentially is a fight for resources between the army and RSF and also between Arabs and Dafuri, and South sudan is a big fight for oil control between one big tribe and another big tribe.
LIke I said, you can say I am talking garbige...but the problem with division is simple. Not one of the parts of nigeria can stand on their own without oil. Until they can do that, forget about it. Of course it won't be peaceful. Do you think people benefiting from this scam would easily let go? For example: Do you think building and running dangote refinery was peaceful? Do you think Nigeria having 24hrs electricity would be peaceful? Point I am trying to make is that something is difficult doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. |
