since it's ur first time into fish farming, I'll suggest you buy ur seed from a reputable farm. nosakhare's farm with a sales outlet in oba market road or nikseg farm with sales outlet along MM way.

you don't need any formalin. It is a new pond. All you need do is to fill up that pond with water and put chicken poo (tie in a sack) drop it in the pond for two weeks. This will neutralize all the cement chemicals. After remove the sack, drain the water, wash thoroughly and put new fresh water and stock your fingerlings.
