Growing a 1 dollar account.
Day 3: $0.62

No Profit was made, if anything, it dropped from 1.42 to 0.62

My Mistakes
- Force trading, no matter the strategy, a good trading opportunity won't always be available.

- Multiple entries, which increase profit, but also potential loss.

- Hoping for a trend reversal while being left in the cold by the market.

- Too many symbol, it's better to focus on one trade, then move on to the next, one failed market may wipe out the leverage needed for a profitable one.

- Going against the trend, even for a quick scalp, it's not worth the risk, at some point you'll get bitten.


For me, no more indicators, I grew the account before, I'll do it again.

The question no difficult, it’s one of the basics in trading which is essential. Leverage is more like how much your profit or loss would be if you make use of a standard lot as it also applies to your micro lot too.

The profit/loss for 1:50 would not be the same for 1:200 leverage.

I'm a very impatient human, I won't be able to calm down and read all that, but I believe I'm save by using 0.01 margin, which is the smallest possible margin.

But if things goes south I have bookmark the page, hope it doesn't.

I was aiming at 2 dollar, but it's all good, if anything I almost blew the account, it even dropped below a dollar, I had to recompose and reorganize myself as my emotions were getting the best of me, that's when I had a come back.

V25 is 0.5 lot, V10 is 0.30 lot while V75(1s) is 0.005 lot now.. I feel deriv change the lots from time to time

Those are default lot size.

these are not the minimum lot sizes r. E. G. V50 is 3.0

Look closely, beside it you will see Edited, means the default is 3.0 but it's edited to 0.04

For those that cannot be edited, you'll see default, they are already at their minimum.

what trading platform do u use? cos mt4 and mt5 doesnt have 0.001 lot

I tested all of them, the margin is more important than lot size, as some market are so volatile, a $0.001 lot size can blow a $1,000 account.

Yes, I tested all the 36 Synthetic trade I can find, and found out their minimum lot size, high lot size means you can get rich quicker, but that goes both ways.

The market is exactly all chaotic. We simply use indicators and trading strategies to create a form of orderliness and go with the end result whether win or lose.

At the end of the day, the market must go up or down, even after a side ways trend, one just need to hope it goes his target direction, and if it doesn't, a small lot size will help cushion the fall.

What I have learned so far.

1. Emotions
Don't use demo account, use real money that you can afford to lose, this way you master your emotions, something demo doesn't teach.

2. Lot size
A small lot size is account balance divided by 1,000, or a margin of 0.01 on a $1 account, this gives you multiple attempt without blowing it.

3. Time Frame Entry
Make entry on a high time frame, only one successful entry is more than enough to double the account.

4. Stop Loss
Forget take profit and Set strict stop loss, don't do market may reverse, na high way be that, with strict stop loss you can go to bed knowing you won't wake up to see a blown account.

5. Take Profit
Be over with the market before the market is over with you.

I woke up to this profit, if it had hit my stop loss I would have lost $0.01 or so, instead I made a profit 15 times the entry.

Yeah, I made use of Deriv broker, you can deposit a minimum of $0.05.

I'm currently trading with a lot size of 0.001, playing it safe.

This may be the best way to go, take what you can and leave before the market notice.

But I believe the hardest thing for any trader is to close a trade while making profit, a discipline I need to master.
