The interview went well. We were over 50 but for different roles (sales, manufacturing, supply chain, workshop, field service, finance etc). I was for field service so I can't say much for other roles. Also, I wont give exact questions (word for word) asked, but just a guide.

After some talks by their staff, we (field service) went to take a test, 20 mechanical questions for 15 mins (Obj & about 6 theory questions) and 20 Electrical questions for 15 mins (all obj). The mechanical part was tough (maybe because we were taken by surprise), more about fuel & cooling system of a diesel engine. The Electrical part was very simple, mainly on current, volt, power, resistor etc, just elementary physics.

From the info I gathered, other roles had a case study presentation on how to penetrate Africa with a particular product. They prepared & presented within 30 mins as a group with one person being the spokesman, others could contribute while the spokesman presented.

We then went on to the interview stage. 3 interviewers per panel/ job role. First question was as usual, why applying to Cummins. The other 4 questions were the same thing asked in different words but summarised thus "when has a skill/ strenght you possess helped you accomplish a task". So its best to have different examples of such a time.

Finally, we were well fed breakfast and lunch, serve yourself. Those from outside of Lagos were also given some money for transport depending on your place of residence. We were not told the exact date to receive feedback, but I learnt from one of the their trainees that in their time it was after 2-3 days. In summary, I belittled Cummins. From what I saw, they are quite a good company & a place to be. Their organisation for the interview was superb. I hope to be successful. This is my story thus far.

I applied for 4 positions. I received a call around 4pm on 3rd June (a Saturday, and from a strange Lagos number which I almost refused to pick) for the position of Field Service Technician Trainee role. I was asked to run through my education background and work experience as contained in my CV, after which I was told I will be scheduled for an interview on the 13th of June. By 6th, I got the mail. This is my story so far, I feel its wickedness if I don't share this after all the help i have been silently getting from others on this forum. I am still seeking info on how to prepare for the interview tomorrow

my concern is the test, how is like? i have never met anyone who has written it before. Is it national based, NDDC based questions or is it academics English, math, Science and or the focus is on the course one applied for? I really need a heads off.

From last 2015 & 2016, I think its usually Maths, Verbal, and Engineering basics (electrical stuffs, mechanics I think.) Maybe not actually basics, so study beyond basics.. But its sure going to go well, I blv..

Mehn, I can't wait to meet you all at the cbt centre, and also during the interview. Please I need an assistance here on something, who knows of a school that could give me admission without my transcript, apart from Coventry. Cos I just need to have something tangible at hand cos of deadlines. Thanks.

I hope so too, meet all the conditions and trouble them with emails and phone calls, look for their nigerian agents for follow up make sure they don't charge you because you already have a conditional offer. Tell the university that you have other admission offers and you're trying to decide quickly even though you're looking forward to starting with them in September blah blah..maybe they will respond quick enough. Im sure they don't want to lose you, especially since you're international.

The conditional offer I already have is from Coventry University. What is delaying my final processing with University of Portsmouth is my academy transcript, which I hope to be available before month end to enable me complete my admission process for Portsmouth.

In the past, this won't have pose any challenge in changing school when you finally get the award. But with the no change of school and course that was stated in this year's advert; I can't tell if it will be possible, but be hopeful.

As regards University of Portsmouth, didn't you upload the admission letter during application? Since you registered with it, just ensure you get admission from them before the oral interview.

I just hope my admission letter for Portsmouth University will be ready before month end.

I applied for 4 positions, although 3 was with a different email, and the other one was a different email. But I have gotten two regret mails.. But my submissions for the Abuja graduate trainee and the Field specialist is still acknowledged. Don't know when they will start calling for interviews.

Please I need someone to help me out with this. I have already applied for the NDDC postgraduate scholarship, and I currently have a conditional offer from Coventry University, which am to fulfil some conditions and that includes a deposit of £4,311.30 before July 14th. But the school I put during my application was University of Portsmouth, although I haven't finalized my admission with them because of delay in my transcript which I hope to get this month in order to process the admissions. I just want to know if one can still change admission letter even after the interview, cos the school I actually want is Portsmouth or Anglia Ruskin University, but if further delay in my transcript, I might have to use the Coventry University letter for the interview first.

I understand everybody is quietly waiting and preparing towards the cbt.. I guess thats why. But maybe we could still do some study here too.. Maybe..

From your email they sent you, open the link and download the app, it will take you to playstore, the first one on the list is the one you should download.

You musn't download the app actually according to their message, but when i tried doing it online directly with my phone (Android I used) it didn't work, I had to download the app instead. Also, doing it at night isn't bad cos it will be quiet, but you need to find a place that will have enough light like day time, I think that would be cool.

Abeg make I ask oo.. How many of us dey watch the match between *BlackAfrican* and *Chiscodedon*..? Abeg wetin be the scores..? Is like the tin don dey change to wrestling oo.. Lol. I did my interview on Monday evening, Maybe almost 4pm, and I got my love letter today at the time I posted it here..

Aside from doing your part, one has to follow it up with connection. Getting a success mail without connection is by the grace of God. Most of these slot have already been taken. Some people will even get this job without any application or interview like we've all done.

Honestly speaking eh, to me I don't believe everything should always work with connection o, what I know is that, if you will get it, you will.. Even ppl with connections sometimes don't get successful..

My dear, we applicants have done our part, Shell knows what they are looking for..

For those of us that are yet to receive replies from shell, I wish you all success mails.. But meanwhile, don't place high hopes on it, just be prepared for anything. You can still check other recruitment ongoing. I'll share two links here if you don't mind..

i attempted to login for my video interview. i saw that i have 15 questions to answer each for 3 mins. i ran out, i thought i saw people wrote here that it was 5 questions. why is mine 15 question? or does it appear like that and still it is 5questions? pls help me

wow, this is serious.. Is it that the later you apply, the more your questions, abi they have seen something in you they need, so you gats answer plenty questions..? Anyway, good luck bro

I don't see any need for a whatsapp group, here is enough, just as others said, for future references we need to be here. I suggest a group can come up when we all get to the final stage.
