RomanceRe: He Wants Me To Move In by gtrust: 1:18am On May 14
To be honest I didn’t not read everything

My recommendation: maintain your dignity and demand for a low budget wedding BEFORE moving in!

Or

Move in and become baby mama

escortafrik:
Hello guys, I really need your advice because I’ve been turning this over in my head and I don’t want to make a mistake.

So a bit of background… I’m in my final year at the university, just trying to finish with good grades and figure out what’s next for my life.

A close friend of mine introduced me to her cousin a few months ago. He’s doing really well for himself, stable, calm, and very intentional in how he carries himself.

We got along pretty quickly and things moved from just talking to a serious relationship faster than I expected, but it has been good so far.

Now the situation is this… he wants me to move in with him.

At first, I thought maybe it’s just excitement and love growing fast, but he’s been consistent about it and says it’s because he sees a future with me and wants us to start building our life together properly. I do like him a whole lot , and part of me likes the idea of us being together in that way, like a real couple sharing everyday life.

But I spoke to my friends and they are not having it at all. They keep telling me that once I move in, it might reduce the chances of marriage happening, that men can get too comfortable and stop seeing the need to “formalise” things. Even his cousin who introduced us is saying I shouldn’t as well but I’m quite surprised because this guy has been so good to me in every aspect of my life.

Now I’m stuck in the middle. I don’t want to act based on fear, but I also don’t want to ignore advice that could save me from future regret.

So I’m asking honestly… what do you think I should do in this situation?
PoliticsRe: Atiku May Not Be Running Afterall by gtrust: 10:58am On May 13
Atiku will run with Dele Momodu!
Chairman of Ovation pass sitting governor sef!
How much is money?

Validated:
With Makinde seeking to run under PDP-APM platform, Atiku may not get a viable running mate for 2027.
It is on record that Atiku usually like to run with a sitting governor, who would most likely bankroll the elections.
With Makinde out of the market, there are no governors in the South available for
Atiku. The only option for Atiku now is Amaechi or perhaps Ihedioha. Those two would be easily swallowed by Peter Obi's influence in SE and SS.

Hence, I am predicting a two horse race between Peter Obi and Tinubu.
The result will be overwhelmingly in favour of Peter Obi.
PoliticsRe: Obi On The Move Again After Kwankwasso Declares Intention To Contest NDC Ticket by gtrust: 1:55am On May 06
You are spreading FAKE NEWS!!!
NDC zoned presidential candidate to South & Kwankwaso was fully aware before he joined.
They already agreed on a joint ticket with Kwankwaso as Vice.

Where’s your church mind?

DomPerignon:
Obi is about to pack his kaya again and is most likely heading to ZLP .

This is coming after Kwankwasso is insisting that there must be primaries in the NDC to determine who will be the party flag bearer to which Kwankwasso says he is hell bent on contesting and not in anyway in support of a consensus candidate and neither is he ready to be any one's running mate.

Obi has up till Friday this week to move to ZLP.

Its time the National Assembly pass a law to limit how many parties any politician can jump to within one calendar year and make it illegal for any politician registered with any party to decamp within one year of an election cycle.
PoliticsRe: ‘Obidients’ are already insulting NDC Chairman And Executives by gtrust: 2:23am On May 05
Those people are NOT Obidients!
We the authentic Obidients are focused
Please don’t get distracted by APC members trying to cause confusion

We the authentic Obidients, we are happy! We are focused and we are strategizing only for what’s important!

renderme:
Day 1 in a new party NDC, and obidients are already dissing the party chairman Seriake Dickson and his IJAW tribe.

They are also calling for one of the executives to be investigated.

These are people that have spent their time and money working in this party. They have started bullying and rubbishing them. On day 1.

This is how they entered a peaceful labor party sidelined people and scattered it. To the extent Obi and the chairman that brought him in were fighting publicly.

SMH.
PoliticsRe: 2027 Obi/Kwankwaso; 2031-Kwankwaso Who by gtrust: 2:46pm On May 04
2031 = Kwankwaso & Alex Otti
Nigeria KO = Nigeria knocks out poverty, poor health care

SadiqBabaSani:
Rabiu Kwankwaso needs to align with Obi to build a national strong opposition to the present Government in Power.

2031 is all for Kwankwaso to grab depends on how well he plays his cards with Peter Obi

2031 Northern APC candidate could be Ribadu, Shetima, Zulum, etc.

None of the above names carry political weight like Kwankwaso in 2031. I still repeat, if it is not Obi in 2027 in Aso Rock, let borrowing master continue.

Kwankwaso is a better candidate looking at forward to 2031

Fairness is Fairness
It’s the turn of the South
In the South, it’s the turn of the SE
Atiku is 80-years old
They pressured Peter Obi to join - so why?

Anyways, they can keep their Party, guys are now on the move! 🙏🏿

Kukutente23:
Why should ADC zone the ticket to Obi while shutting down others
How is that democratic?
PoliticsRe: Kwankwaso convenes stakeholder meeting, set to join NDC - PoliticsDigest by gtrust: 3:26am On May 02
No, not exactly.
Atiku & David Mark are not transparent.
They bought the Party
They invited everybody to come and join including Peter Obi, Kwankwaso etc
When you bring the “main topic”: Zone presidential spot to SE and specifically to Peter Obi na so they come dey always speak big big grammar

ADC would have kicked off formidably to the extent of Supreme Court respecting them and not sending back to FHC after saying leadership is internal affairs of political parties and not justiciable

ARISHEM:
APC successfully scattered all of them. And they are scattering like mad.

You are not a member hence you are a meddlesome interloper lol

A meddlesome interloper is a person who intrudes into affairs, disputes, or legal proceedings that do not concern them, often hindering, annoying, or seeking personal gain. It describes an unwanted busybody who interferes without invitation!

You no get girlfriend??

DomPerignon:

I have some free time and will like to be entertained .
PoliticsRe: Atiku Won’t Lead And Finance A Coalition Party Just To Hand It Over To Latecomer by gtrust: 12:11pm On Apr 25
You are trying to be economical with the truth!

What did the party say when every member of the executive resign?
Did Mr Bala resign or not ?
Are you aware that ADC charged their constitution?
Mr Bala resigned and attended the inauguration of the new leadership under their new constitution.

But that’s not even the matter. Why not return the party to Nwosu and team or even Nwosu’s Deputy?

Mr Bala was a regional leader, so even far removed.
Ok, why not just give it to Mr Bala sef ??

DomPerignon:
But alas, you ignore the fun fact that this is an internal party crisis over leadership at the National level.

Nwosu was never in a position to sell the seat he was occupying and the party constitution has a well spelt out succession plan in the event the National Chairman resigns or dies and it states categorically that the Chairman seat will be occupied by the deputy National chairman in such an event which is why Bala is in court to affirm the ADC party constitution.

How is this the doing of APC?
PoliticsRe: Atiku Won’t Lead And Finance A Coalition Party Just To Hand It Over To Latecomer by gtrust: 12:04pm On Apr 25
2026 - 2019 is already two-terms of 4-years each!
Atiku is 80-years and should not be encouraged!
Peter Obi has been settled and doing very well in his own “shop”!

Why are you asking a man whose master (Atiku) settled him after serving him and has moved on and doing well to now come back to his Oga and do boy-boy again??

Haba!!! Where is your church mindhuh
Are you this wicked ni ??

DomPerignon:
Why are you guys no longer considering the Atiku-PO ticket again?

Besides, Atiku was old in 2019 but that didnt stop you from voting him.

If you claim is that it is the time of the south, then let the southern President do his term .
PoliticsRe: Atiku Won’t Lead And Finance A Coalition Party Just To Hand It Over To Latecomer by gtrust: 11:57am On Apr 25
What are you on about?

Party expenses is legitimate expense.
Totally different from vote-buying!

You mean you’re unaware that it cost a lot of money to register a political party and maintain offices in all the wards and also manage party logistics, rents, transportation, organizing meetings etc etc

Atiku & David Mark must have refunded “Mr Nwosu & team” to take over the party. Hence INEC should have either allowed David Mark & team to continue or return the party leadership to Nwosu & team!
There is never a time an INEC registered & approved political party in Nigeria is without a leadership. This is just desperation of APC crew & it’s illegal.
Supreme Court will eventually (despite this deliberate delay) settle the matter in the right way or Nigerian Democracy dies!

You serious so abi na joke you dey joke?
Abeg, you must pay your bills!!!
And that’s not corruption

Atiku is 80-years old!!!
Nigeria is not Cameroon.
Besides, it’s the turn of the South
Obi cannot be anybody’s deputy.

Obi will be given the ADC ticket by consensus or Obi & Kwankwaso will just takeover another party

No big deal

DomPerignon:
The fallout between Atiku and Obi is because of the mob.

Atiku has since told Obi that he will not be picking him as running mate and that's why Obi has ran to Kwankwasso to pick him as VP.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Won’t Lead And Finance A Coalition Party Just To Hand It Over To Latecomer by gtrust: 11:24am On Apr 25
Politics is Business!
Buying & Selling of Parties & positions are all part of politics worldwide.

If Atiku & David Mark brought the money then Peter Obi gets the ticket, they will charge for their “expenses” & will be refunded in full in cash. Or they can trade that for political influence instead or even both!

So, what exactly is your headache?

PoliticsRe: Is This Story On Achebe And Soyinka True by gtrust: 8:41am On Dec 05, 2025
Chinua Achebe never received the Nobel Prize in Literature, despite being one of the most influential and widely read African writers of the 20th century. Several interlocking reasons explain why the Swedish Academy never awarded him the prize:
1. The Swedish Academy’s long-standing Eurocentrism and narrow literary criteria (pre-1990s)
Until the late 1990s, the Academy strongly favoured writers who fit a particular modernist or experimental European aesthetic. Achebe’s style—clear, realist, oral-tradition-infused prose—was often dismissed by some Academy members as “simple” or “sociological” rather than “universal” literature. The permanent secretary in the 1980s, Lars Gyllensten, and influential member Artur Lundkvist repeatedly blocked non-European candidates who wrote in a realist or politically engaged vein.
2. Explicit opposition from at least one powerful Academy member
The Swedish poet and Academy member Artur Lundkvist (who sat on the committee from 1968 until his death in 1991) is known to have been openly hostile to Achebe’s candidacy. In private remarks and interviews he described Things Fall Apart as anthropological rather than truly literary, and argued that awarding Achebe would open the floodgates to many Third-World writers. Lundkvist also successfully blocked other non-European realists (e.g., Graham Greene, Jorge Luis Borges for a time).
3. The “one African per generation” informal quota
After Wole Soyinka won in 1986 (the first Black African laureate), many observers—African and non-African alike—assumed the Academy would not award another African so soon. The next African winners came much later: Nadine Gordimer (1991, white South African), Naguib Mahfouz (1988, Arab), J.M. Coetzee (2003, white South African), and only in 2021 Doris Lessing was followed by Abdulrazak Gurnah (the second Black African winner, 35 years after Soyinka).
4. Achebe’s uncompromising anti-colonial and political stance
Achebe never softened his criticism of European imperialism, racism in literature (e.g., his famous critique of Conrad’s Heart of Darkness), or Western institutions. Some European literary circles found him “too political” or “angry.” The Nobel committee has historically been wary of writers seen primarily as political moralists rather than “pure” artists.
5. Timing and health
By the late 1990s, when the Academy began opening up more to non-European writers (Derek Walcott 1992, Kenzaburō Ōe 1994, Gao Xingjian 2000, V.S. Naipaul 2001), Achebe had already suffered the car accident that left him paralysed (1990) and was living in the United States. He published very little new fiction after the mid-1980s (Anthills of the Savannah, 1987, was his last novel). The Nobel committee almost never awards writers whose major work is decades behind them.
In summary
Achebe was repeatedly shortlisted and seriously considered (especially in the 1980s), but a combination of institutional Eurocentrism, the veto power of one influential conservative member (Lundkvist), the informal “one African per era” logic after Soyinka’s 1986 win, and Achebe’s own outspoken politics made the prize unattainable during his active years. Many critics and writers (Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o, Nadine Gordimer, Kwame Anthony Appiah and others) have called the non-award one of the Nobel’s most glaring omissions.

We need to aspire for fairness and inclusiveness if we want our Nigeria to survive.

It’s the turn of the South East and the most qualified and ready candidate today is Peter Obi.
You will agree with me that once you confirm Peter Obi as the presidential candidate of ADC or any other political Party tsunami effect will start!!!

ADC should do the right thing otherwise Peter Obi will just wait and a party will eventually become available

ChiefOloye:
Pitobi should just say ADC coalition is shaky, because the party refused to zone the presidency to his bedroom, we will understand.

1- Attempted Suicide is a crime in Nigeria

2- Ordinarily entering the airport tarmac in an active airport is a terrorist act in many countries but I don’t know about Nigeria. That’s why they board you into your flight by license and you are not authorized to step out of your approved area which is usually demarcated with security ribbons.
The man was in an airport tarmac during active airport operations and the man actually obstructed the aircraft.

Anyway, I’m more interested in the authorities making sure “civilians” are not allowed on the airport’s tarmac without licenses henceforth!

Also, only trained personnel (police) are allowed to effect restraint on people. They come into the aircraft and handcuff the person decently or the person can negotiate to walk with them voluntarily without handcuffs.

Too many kindergarten stuffs happened dia 👎🏿

Very Heavy Duty roads carrying multiple containers daily!

They couldn’t even evacuate ordinary waste. Both industrial and domestic waste were dumped all over Aba. That where the name “smelly Aba” came from.

Saw this on X too. Can anyone confirm it? Because if this is really true it should be a local government chairman and not state governor that should be doing this. Either way it's still not bad.
And why did the person who conducted the research not add the length of the remaining 2 roads? Probably because they were "not short enough" to create the narrative he wants people to believe?

The lengths of 12 out of 14 roads commissioned in Aba are:

1. Umuode Road: 1.5 km
2. Bakassi Road: 0.6km
3. Isu Ihiteukwa Street: 0.3 km
4. Asa Triangle Road: 0.5km
5. Enyimba Junction – Ariaria Gate: 0.3 km
6. Market Road: 0.744 km
7. Tenant Road: 0.740 km
8. Cameroun Road: 0.711 km
9. Ehi Road: 0.5 km
10. Clifford Road: 0.836 km
