odoemelamemmanu:
The Unbeaten History of Orji Uzor Kalu in Abia State Governance

By Bernard Ogbe

While we are inundated with the status of Abia state politics, history continue to have it that four ranking, prominent, democratically elected and serving personality’s of government where in Abia state to commission completed economic projects of H. E, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in just six months in office as the governor of Abia state.

The negative propaganda in-depth on the former governor of abia state (1999 - 2007) who is presently the Senator representing Abia North senatorial District, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, closed a huge gap as we witness the unfolding of the governance in Abia state under the leadership of the current governor.

While It is expected that the people of Abia state would praise the efforts of the present governor, H. E, Dr Alex Otti (especially those within the generation of 2007 into the present day of Abia state governance), the revealing aspects of some of his engagements so far as the Executive governor of Abia state is fascinatingly displaying to Abians the efforts of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu during the 1999 - 2007 administration.

The developmental gaps created by the cluelessness of those in power within 2007 into 2023 that brought the squalor-cankerworm state of Abia today has given the present government an edge of applaud in his determination to give attention to government facilities regardless of who’s tenure such projects where executed.

Not withstanding the experiences of bad governance melted on Abians for sixteen years, the activities of the incumbent has resurrected not just the memories of how it used to be in the era of our ‘Action Governor’, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, but also, have unveiled the truth that was sat upon with the tarnishing mechanisms established to quench the good works of Dr Orji Uzor Kalu by his successor.

The motivated nomenclature ‘The Action Governor’ given to H. E, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, is a history in the memories of Abians that no successive governors in Abia state have replicated.

The history holds the execution from start, finish and commissioning of six (6) economic roads in Abia state within six (6) months as governor. The history that saw Mr President Olusegun Obasanjo, Vice President Atiku Abubarkar, Sanate President Chuba Okadigbo, and the Speaker House of Representatives Ghali Umar Na’Abba, who were all on different occasions, on the soil of Abia state to Commission economic projects completed by H. E, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, within six (6) months of assuming office in 1999.

For this brilliant performance and as the youngest of the governor’s in the 36 states as at 1999, Mr President Olusegun Obasanjo on commissioning one of these economic projects named Senator Orji Uzor Kalu the ‘Action Governor’. A history yet unbroken in the governance of Abia state.

It is commendable, the efforts of governor Alex Otti, in his believe on the maintenance and revival of government projects, which is a failure on the paths of those that succeeded Senator Orji Uzor Kalu ( Gov. T. A Orji and his successor Okezie Ikpazu). As Abians applauds governor Alex Otti’s commitment to government facilities, it opens up the revealing truth as to the efforts of Dr Orji Uzor Kalu’s blue print, irrespective of the low Federal government allocations that was not up to one billion Naira, compared to what is received presently by the Abia state government from the federal.

The negative vibes of the political clime against the efforts of Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, was a political rascality that meant no good for the growth of Abia state. Orji Kalu established a fertile foundation that would have transformed Abia state if his successor had jettisoned bitter politics to working for the people. No government in eight (cool years can meet the satisfactions of the people, however with continuity to government projects, if the blueprints of Orji Kalu was sustained, Abia state would have been heaven to her citizens.

However it is today in Abia state, the reality remains that most of the ongoing road work of Gov. Alex Otti today in Abia state are replications of the works of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu that suffered maintenance and neglects for 16 years in the hands his successors.

In a flash, we can say that:

* Majority of the roads mapped for maintenance and reconstruction are linked to the ones constructed by Dr Orji Uzor Kalu that suffered maintenance culture by the administration that succeeded him.

* “The story of Geometric power cannot be explained without the tremendous impact of former Governor Orji Uzor Kalu. I know the sacrifices and the critical role played by him, especially trying to make sure that the project remained in Aba.
“I recall the challenges of getting the land and paying for it. I accompanied Prof. Barth Nnaji to those events and I know Dr Orji Uzor Kalu played a tremendous role in making it a reality. It’s good for our people and Nigerians to know.” - Prof Diogu.

This statement was confirmed by Gov. Alex Otti. during the inauguration of the 188-megawatt geometric power plant in Aba, Abia state, to accelerate power supply to industrial clusters in the region (nine local governments).

* The Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH) and the 15 general hospitals built across the state by former Governor Orji Uzor Kalu for easy access to quality healthcare services seeks government intervention as the masses cry out for Gov. Alex Otti’s attention.

* The free education scheme of Dr Orji Uzor Kalu for all students is still a request from Abians that neither T. A Orji nor Okezie Ikpazu were able to harmonize nor sustained. The masses look up on Gov. Alex Otti for rescue. How well, the former Governor Dr Orji Uzor Kalu came about financing the free education scheme with such low federal allocations and internally generated revenue is still a mystery to earn Orji Kalu an accolade, the ‘Action Governor’

We may not be able to digest the numerous achievements of H. E, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu that perpetually overwhelmed all hates, brandishing, propaganda and other mischievous attempts to fault a man that selflessly deposited himself to better the society. However they’ve tried, the love of the people for Orji Uzor Kalu, as organic it is, gets stronger by the day in his doggedness to bringing developmental strides to the people of Abia North Senatorial District.

When Peter Obi was young, he worked so hard!
Now, he’s retired and enjoying the fruits of his labour.

Job description: pensioner!

Therefore open another trend on: what was Peter Obi’s job before he retired? lol

Rostikol:
Please what is Peter Obi’s job?

What does he do for a living?

I ask because I see him everywhere, travelling, attending events here and there, donating money, etc etc.

But I’ve never heard of him going to work, or engaging in any meaningful business.

Can somebody shed some light on this, please.

What is Peter Obi’s source of income?

What is his job?

My ex husband and I are divorced 2 years ago. He recently acquired an European citizenship, he also wants to extend the citizenship to our son. Though I thought it a good idea but I can't shake the feeling that he is trying to use that to take him away from me.
He told me our son will need to come over there to finish the process of his citizenship. But when I went to submit the "application" what I saw on it is different from what he told me. The paper read that I am consenting to my son to go and reunite with his father. Or is that the way they process it?
Please those that have gone through same should please come to my aid, this is my only child and I can't afford to lose my child this way.

DUTCH DISEASE

Dutch disease is a concept that describes an economic phenomenon where the rapid development of one sector of the economy (particularly natural resources) precipitates a decline in other sectors. It is also often characterized by a substantial appreciation/depreciation of the domestic currency.

gidgiddy:
Japan, France, Italy, South Korea and Switzerland are amongst the richest countries in the world, yet none of them have oil. They have something more precious than that, they have human resource

The average Nigerian and Nigerian politician cannot think beyond oil. For them, oil and gas is everything. Yet for all the oil and gas Nigeria has sold for over 50 years, things have steadily gotten worse

Even as the world turns away from oil to renewable energy, even as Europe bans petrol and diesel cars in 2030, the average Nigerian still thinks that oil is life.

Less than 20 years from now, much of the developed world will be running electric vehicles, a barrel of crude oil wont be worth anything, but oil is the king in Nigeria . Yet all the oil Nigeria has sold, Nigeria is heavily in debt

The Nigerian is caged by the mindset of oil. If Nigeria did not become rich from Oil in the 70's and 80's, it is not now it is on its way out it will make Nigeria rich

A single US company such as Apple sometimes makes more gadget sales than Nigeria makes on oil sales. A country like Netherlands makes more exporting agricultural products than Nigeria makes exporting oil.

Dubai was a Desert Kingdom that found oil, they put all their money into tourism and hospitality and have become king of that area, that they no longer need oil to survive

Oil took Nigeria backwards, far backwards

No sir!
Appears like a simple civilian explosion.
Depending on what they have running underneath, it could be gas or even water explosion.

Nuclear will start by dissolving everything including those vehicles and the tarred road itself leaving a crater.
Then radiation would spread really wide and there wouldn’t be this video

Nuclear is … Hmm 🤔

As long as someone retain capacity, it really doesn’t matter.

I suppose, the husband wife wahala, the answer is prenuptial agreement. However many countries do not recognise it especially in Europe. In America etc prenuptial is the solution.
