Politics / APC: A Divided ‘empire’, Crisis Ridden Even Before Handover – By Oke Umurhohwo by Gunnerson: 3:43pm On May 04, 2015
Yesterday in Maitama, a good friend of mine was intimating me on the power struggle and cold war brewing in the APC between the Bola Tinubu led ACN and some nPDP led by Bukola Saraki and from what he said, it may snowball into serious cracks.

The power struggle is for the Senate Presidency. Nigerians may wish to know why Tinubu wants to influence the choice at all cost. The game for 2019 has commenced since all available indications point to the fact that Buhari would not seek a second term.
strong person in Atiku. Of the 4 + 1 blocs, only 2 currently control things. Tinubu and Buhari hold sway. The exit of Sherif crippled the ANPP, there is no unity in nPDP because Kwankwaso has a separate agenda.

From his analysis, Tinubu is plotting to prevent Saraki from using the position of Senate President and the power of the National Assembly to build a cohesive national platform for 2019. Tinubu wants Tambuwal for President in 2019, while the Buhari group prefer El-rufai. Saraki, Atiku, Kwankwaso are all interested in becoming the president of Nigeria by 2019 as well.

At the moment, the CPC faction of the APC have the President, ACN has the Vice President, ANPP is rumoured to have been allocated the slot of SGF, nothing juicy for nPDP and Atiku yet. Saraki is therefore using Senate President as bargain for nPDP.

Tinubu got advantage of reciprocity against Buhari for 2019 or fight 1 enemy. It would be difficult for Buhari to fight 2 camps if Saraki gets the Senate Presidency. Tinubu’s reported withdrawal of interest in Akume for Ahmed Lawan is part of the all-cost desperation to deny Saraki of the Senate Presidency.

Meanwhile, Saraki has the backing of Amaech’s financial war chest as well as that of the nPDP except Kwankwaso and Wamakko who are not committed. Definitely all about interest. Tinubu’s support for Lawan may include a bargain for Deputy Senate President for his wife, meaning the South West may not get the Speakership of the House of Assembly. Tinubu the sharp man.

While all these are going on, the PDP who are now the minority in the Senate can help to install Saraki to spite Tinubu and make APC 2019 projection very clumsy. With 42 Senators under PDP out of 109 Senate seats in the next Assembly, PDP will determine the next Senate President.

The option of Lawan if all the APC Senators were to buy it, makes the faint hope and thought of David Mark’s return non-existence. But then, anything is possible in politics and I would be watching with keen interest on June 6 to see who get elected as the new Senate President.

With the way the cold war is going, Tinubu has elected to be a spoiler than to be the king maker. His reasoning is simple. Deny me my choice, I deny you Senate President.

God Bless Nigeria.

Politics / PDP Senatorial Candidate Blasts Tinubu, Buhari And Others by Gunnerson: 7:03pm On Apr 24, 2015
On Friday, 24th of April, The Peoples Democratic Party Senatorial candidate for Lagos West Senatorial District- Mr Segun Adewale took to the popular social media website-twitter.com on a series of tweets he titled as #ElectionsAfterThoughts.
The young gentleman who was allegedly rigged out during the just concluded elections rubbished the presence of Ogbeni Aregbesola Rauf in Lagos during the election, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Mr Yayi Adeola for their failure to show their certificates. He also called on all party leaders who failed the party during the polls to leave their respective positions to allow for younger breeds. He also blasted the conduct of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during the polls citing their aiding and abetting of the APC as the major cause of the victory of the APC at the polls while he also questioned why having won 7 Local Governments out of the 10 Local Governments out of his Senatorial Distric, INEC still went ahead to declare him a loser at the election.
He expressed much confidence at the Tribunal where he enjoined his followers to remain steadfast and faithful to the cause as Victory is in sight.

Politics / APC Killer Squad Controversy! Aeroland Wants Yayi To Come Straight by Gunnerson: 3:05pm On Mar 19, 2015
The lingering controversy over an alleged killer squad purportedly under the services of the APC Lagos West Senatorial candidate Hon. Solomon Adeola Olamilekan has taken another dimension as his main opposition at the March 28 polls, Segun Adewale popularly referred to as Aeroland by supporters has opened up on what he knows concerning the issue.

In a statement released by the PDP candidate on Thursday morning, Aeroland said he had it on good information that Yayi don't just have a killer squad which he uses to silence perceived enemies, but that the same squad was sent after him recently but he was saved by security aides around him.

Segun Adewale further challenged Hon. Yayi to come clean with facts because the PDP team also has pictorial evidence to back up their claim.

...read the full statement of Segun Adewale Aeroland below!

My attention has been drawn to misrepresentation of facts being done by one Hon. Adeola Olamilekan Solomon who currently represents Alimosho Federal Constituency in the National Assembly and the current candidate for the APC in the Lagos West Senatorial District.

I have it on information that there is a denial of a relationship between Hon. Adeola Solomon Olamilekan and his killer squad as widely reported in the media.

Following several requests to know my stance on the revealing masterpiece, I have decided to make the following statements on the issue:

1. The said man has a killer squad which he has been using to silent so many who have gone against his electoral wishes.

2. The same killer squad’s member was sent after me towards the end of 2014.

3. The killer squad member sent after me fired several shots at me, but due to the bravery of security aides, I was able to escape the gunshots.

4. The said member was identified as “Matchetti” who is widely known with the nickname by all and sundry and also a member of the killer squad as reported by the media.

5. The case is presently being investigated by the Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS)

This statement is coming because of the several calls by prominent Nigerians to know the real and exact story behind the case as I have also noticed edited images showing an armed man on a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) vest to misrepresent the truth.

I would like to conclude by telling the opposition to come out with facts to debunk this as there are also pictorial evidences on this, which are withheld so as not to fault the investigations currently carried out by the Nigeria Police Force.

alaoeri:

Forget about the posters in as much as it is not a political post, you can't hold a contested post by election in a state & go to another state & wanna contest for another post under the constitution of Nigeria & have it at the back of your mind that the names of those contesting for various post in the country have been submitted to INEC so YAYI's name will now appear in two states abi? This so pathetic TANoids should come up with another propaganda because this has failed.

Can you be a member of house of rep in Enugu & move to IMO that you wanna be a senator?

Wrong by constitution but with Tinubu's interest and APC.... Anything is possible... And I guess there are evidences here

Politics / (PICTURE) APC Legislator Caught Contesting In Two States by Gunnerson: 11:18am On Mar 11, 2015
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has drawn attention to the manner the All Progressives Congress (APC) leader Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu redeploys political candidates across the states of the federation at the wave of the hand.
Oke Umurhohwo, the Social Media aide to the senatorial candidate of the PDP in Lagos West, Segun Adewale (a. k. a. Aeroland), said the way Tinubu imposed Hon. Olamilekan Adeola Solomon (alias Yayi) on the district was condemnable.
Umurhohwo, drew attention to the fact that Tinubu may be trying to permanently put the state under the purview of his family.
“There are three senatorial districts in Lagos and Tinubu’s family members are jostling for two of those,” Umurhohwo said in a statement, Thursday.
“It is on record that Hon. Adeola married from Tinubu’s family. We are also aware that Tinubu’s wife is the incumbent senator for Lagos Central. Are there no other candidates the APC can come up with. Why must they be from Tinubu’s family?”
The year 2014 was filled with different political scenes which included political migrations ranging from cross-carpeting between parties to cross carpeting between states; one of which was very significant, glaring and amazing to say the least. It was the political migration that occurred between Lagos and Ogun states, and involving Hon. Adeola who is the incumbent Chairman, House committee on Public Accounts.
The man, who married from Tinubu’s family, migrated from being a Lagos based politician representing Alimosho Federal Constituency in the National Assembly to Ogun State where he was rejected by APC elders.
The people of Ogun West Senatorial District said they rejected Adeola because he has never sponsored any bill in the house despite chairing of a House Committee.
They also said the Adeola-led House Committee failed woefully, citing his failure to probe the alleged missing funds involving the NNPC and the federation account by his committee which has dealt a big blow on his legislative career.
Reports say Adeola was also rejected by Governor Ibikunle Amosun who feared Tinubu wanted to use the Adeola to disrupt the APC structure in the state.
After his rejection in Ogun state, for the above reasons as revealed to our correspondent by a member of Governor Ibikunle Amosun's cabinet who pleaded anonymity, the quest to wield power was increased and he sought resort in the Lagos West Senatorial District.
This resolution was made after he failed to get the Ogun West ticket to his party. Investigations revealed that party chieftains of the APC are not happy with the development and has resolved to work against him at the polls after they were edged out of the race to grab the party's ticket schematically.
Efforts to reach the APC for comments on the alarm raised by the PDP proved abortive.
This has left Lagosians wondering if Adeola Solomon is truly the politician who has the love of the Lagosians in mind or just has his personal interest and those of his godfather

THIS TOUT CAN'T WIN MORE THAN 1000 VOTES IN LAGOS

I wonder if you thought twice before posting this or you just needed attention or maybe ignorant like most of u guys dat support shortchange, cos by facts,

Segun Adewale family members are more than 1000 lol..
SECONDLY, Segun Adewale has personally empowered over 1000 men and women.
THIRDLY, Aerolnd as a company has over 1000 workers.
FINALLY, be informed Segun Adewale Aeroland specifically won 126,000votes in 2011 (highest number ever in the history of INEC for a federal representation in Nigeria) more over Yayi's total votes that Aerolands total vote was sliced into 2. Another number of votes, more than Timipriye sylvia used to win election as Bayelsa state governor.

Change the changer. #WeAreAero

Education / Re: LASU Students Get Excess Fee Refund by Gunnerson: 11:40am On Feb 27, 2015
pendy79:
When the righteous are in power the people rejoices, Fashola did not only review lower the school fees of students in LASU but have gone a step further to refund the fee paid by students in those sessions.

I don't need a soothsayer to tell me the life of an average Nigerian will be better under an APC government because its hard for a State government anywhere in Nigeria to pull this through not with dwindling revenues and the austerity period prevailing in the country.

Kudos fashola, Lagos State indigenes and especially we Ikorodu sons and daughters will perpetually be grateful to you for the giant strides you recorded in our domain.

Hypocrisy is when you're shouting the refund is political yet you wish you or your younger ones were beneficiary of such a largesse.

When will GEJ refund the N1,000 immigration employment scam money Abba Moro collected?

Sai APC
Sai Buhari
Sai Nigeria 2015

#ihavedecided

Well, i'd still admit this is a political move cos i see no reason why APC -led fashola govt has to wait till this period before the refund... And as point of correction, the federal govt did that in unilag earlier in 2013/14 session when the management increased the fee too
Politics / Segun Adewale (Aeroland) Launches Wikipedia Profile by Gunnerson: 4:22pm On Feb 25, 2015
Mr. Segun Adewale popularly known as Aeroland, is a philanthropist, the current chairman of Aeroland Travels and Tours as well as the Lagos West PDP Senatorial candidate in the upcoming 2015 election. Beside his professional stand-out, his political aspiration has been trending on the social media space during this electoral period, and he stands as a major opponent to the state ruling party; APC in the Lagos West district which covers 10 of the 20 local government of the state.

Referencing notable politicians and philanthropists like Bill Gate, Aliko Dangote, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, amongst others; Segun Adewale (Aeroland), a one-time University of Ibadan SUG Sports Secretary, while meeting with his media team yesterday, expressed delight in the move, stating his resolution to launch his Wikipedia page to ensure accessibility of his information by the general public such as his educational and political background as well as his contributions to humanity over the years.  The page can be accessed at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Segun_Adewale_%28Aeroland%29
