It has be a Long i posted anything on this forum, and i don't know how long i may also be posting.
I just want to share light on how to build success in IT world.
1. i would like to talk about the comment i saw that made me want to resume for a while, (That Cyber security Training is becoming Scam) you are right to some extent.
first thing i will point out is this, most Nigerian like people that lies to them,
" Do this and get and get RICH,
Do That and Get Rich....
please, getting rich is a process, if, i may shock you, it maybe very hard for some people to believe, be an IT Guru in Nigeria is in the street,
There are people, no Hype they talk less, look for then, their place may not have Air conditioner (AC), they will charge you, their class may not get to Three 3 or 6 months, but, you will get what you want.

BECOMING CYBER SECURITY EXPERT
1. you must be atleast have a very good knowledge of Networking
- how the devices are interconnected,
- how packets are routed,
- the Basic devices functions and features, like routers, switches cables etc
2. Network security
-Basic Procedures to protect your endpoint(devices) i.e your Laptop, Smart Phones, Routers anything that can connect to a network,
whether wired or wireless.
- Understand how your Antivirus, Malware etc software are properly installed(so many people don't know how to INSTALL Antivirus).
3. How to design Networks, this is the most crucial aspect of securing your Network(TOPOLGY), where the hardware are on the network, software layer security and the hardware layer security they all work together to create a very good Network.
This few lines may take you 3 week intensive class, HANDS ON 10% Theory and 90% practical
After you may have understand this, you can start preparing for CYBER SECURITY Class, there a lot of tools you have to learn also, if you don' t have this set of skills, that person is just like a Security man that is asked to guide a property he/ she don't know the layout of the property,
Let know one fool you, that you can become a CYBER SECURITY EXPERT without prior knowledge i stated above.

RULE 1: take things step by step, even what you are though will take time to develop in your mind, then you start building concept of Networking and security in IT.
do you know that most time the device users are the one that make their device Vulnerable ? they accept anything without reading ....
NEXT NEXT NEXT Finished.
You must also belong to a productive Team that you guys share ideas and work on projects together, it doesn't mean you stay together, in my team i have 3 guys will have being working together we hardly see each other (TRUST) must exist within your team.
if, you follow what i said, you are already a Network Engineer, so, you can start designing and deploying network for Businesses, SOHO what you will be getting from that will keep you going and you could fund your career with that.

benzion72: Guru in the house how do i share internet on my laptop through WIFI. I learnt it is possible but i am not getting it right i am using window vista with MTN bundle Thanks

it easy to do that...
1. if you are using a USB modem get that installed in your system.
2. move to Network connections, right click on the modem icon that is connected,a dialog box will appear
then click on the "Advanced" tab, incase you want to share with LAN just chose LAn, but if you are going to use your WIFI to share it,please ensure that, you will first of all do this before all this no.1 and 2 step will be done.ok.
open network connections of the wifi, setup e.g SSID=JesusSaves, Password type, that depend on you but, done use WEP for security reasons,then input your password,and remeber that is an ADOC network then take the step 1 and 2. When you select the WIFI or LAn card for sharing them internet,please you will notice that the card you shared it with will now have a static IP, 192.168.0.1,for XP 192.168.137.1 for Win 7. then you set to go.for the WIFI allow you friends to connect to your Network that you set early, JesusSaves. that all. note that only nine system can be connected for this, for the LAN just plug the LAN cable to your lan port of your system then the other end to a switch,so and one that plug his or her system to that switch will be using your shared internet.And Also you can as well plug that same lan Cabl;e to the WAN or INTERNET port of A wireless Router so your guy can also connect.... @nateevs, we are at your back! Good thread Cos we all are learning everyday

You all are right, about the cisco stuff that you can learn the stuff on your own, but, the fact remains, the guys with the certificate are picked for the job opportunity why you left behind.I was already an expert in A+ before i wrote the exam. and better off in ccna also,before the exam..
But, if you are not certified try and do so,but, keep track of the "KOKO" the real knowledge behind all the stuff... Great guys love you all...
