I stumbled upon VConnect's campaign to promote local businesses. It is tagged #PromoteNaija.
The idea is to promote local businesses by encouraging individuals to recommend great businesses they know of or have enjoyed their services and be rewarded for doing so.

#SMEConference 1.0: #VConnect and #Facebook set to host 200 SMEs in #Lagos.

The SME Conference 1.0 is an invite-only one-day event aimed at exposing over 200 small businesses to innovative ways to power business growth through strategies that startups pay little attention to.

More than a dozen industry masterminds will attend the event which will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions and masterclasses.

Some of them include founders of Hotel Oga, Jobberman, Printivo, SEEDvest and so on.

Jennifer Fong, Strategic Product Partnership manager at Facebook says the conference will give SMEs instructive ideas for real growth in 2017.

“We are excited about this gathering. Internet tools - most of them free - have made entrepreneurship far easier than it was a few years ago,” says Jennifer. “This conference will bring these SMEs up to speed on the resources and technologies available to them and we are excited about this kind of empowerment.”

Remember how I told y'all about the new VConnect website upgrade? Well, they are back! Christmas has come early for those who won't mind some extra cash.
