PoliticsNigeria, The Giant Of Africa Is About To Fall by halarho(op): 10:55am On May 29, 2017
It is an indisputable fact in Africa specifically, and in the globe generally that Nigeria has been given the honourific title "The Giant of Africa" and she had continue to withhold this title from time immemorial, unfortunately, Nigeria might be deprived or denied of this title if care is not taken with the present situation in the country.
It takes a lot to be given this title the "giant" of a Continent, I take a lot of time to ask myself and other people these questions that, what does a Continent really means?, and on the other hand what does being a giant of a Continent really takes?, and finally why is Nigeria known as the giant of Africa. After observing these questions and their answers, I fear to announce that Nigeria might loose the title of the giant of Africa if the current challenging and problematic situation persists, because in terms of development in Africa today we are far behind, other countries who were known to be poor in terms of development are now doing better than Nigeria "The Giant of Africa", South Africa, Ghana, Egypt, to mention but a few are now stable and balance politically, economically, and "socio-infrastructurally". the above listed countries were not in the recent years developed as Nigeria even Ghana did share the same power supply with Nigeria but today they enjoy a stable power supply and even celebrated years of uninterrupted power supply while Nigeria " The so called Giant of Africa " still tackles the problem of inadequate power supply even for a week, in this sense, do we really deserve to be called "The Giant of Africa".
Moreso, Nigerians are been pushed out of their neighbouring countries in Africa today all in the name of corruption and fraudulent, Countries like South Africa, Cameron and the likes send away Nigerians away from their country and the Federal Government of Nigeria did nothing about this even if it is by retaliating, and we claim to be the giant of Africa.
South Africa owns a number of companies in Nigeria today that are at the top of the country's economy, Shop rite and MTN that gain a lot of patronage in Nigeria are products of South Africa, how many of this type of multi national cooperation do Nigeria have abroad and yet we still claim to be " The Giant of Africa". I fear that this honourific title will never be withdrawn from Nigeria but with the present situation, there is tendency Nigeria no longer hold that title.
Nigerians now travel to South Africa, Ghana, Egypt because of the greener pastures they enjoy there unlike the bad environmental condition in Nigeria, so we cannot longer stay in our own so called the giant of Africa country, we rather love to go to our neighbouring countries to enjoy greener pastures.
Nigeria has been so called the giant of Africa because of a number of factors which include natural resources, vast land, population, amongst others but it was in the recent years Nigeria utilised and managed these factors efficiently to be tagged the giant of Africa, In the present days these factors are mismanaged and equally made Nigeria retarded in all ramifications.
In the olden days when Nigeria still worth to hold the title of the giant of Africa, our universities are far better than any other in Africa, and that is the reason behind the fact that international students within Africa come to Nigeria to receive quality education, but nowadays due to the retarding economy and bad leaders, our educational institutions are nothing to write home about, there is strike in most of the Nigerian institutions except few of them, students enjoy free feeding in those days but now there is nothing like that, so this made most of the international students run away from our universities because theirs too are now better, if you argue that they are still present in Nigeria, how many of them?, I fear for the so called the giant of Africa.
Finally, the honourific title of the giant of Africa given to Nigeria is standing on a very weak foundation and if proper attention is not given by the government to rectify and reconstruct this foundation, then the hypothetical statement will be confirmed, therefore I urge the federal government of Nigeria to give it a thought and stop mismanaging the economy and also ensure a stable and developed to Nigeria and finally do it's best in getting rid of bad and fake public administrators in order not to loose the honourific title, though this has been the focus of the Buhari led government but more efforts should be put in place because NIGERIA, THE GIANT OF AFRICA IS ABOUT TO FALL.

CrimeWe Are All Criminals In Nigeria But Poverty Caused It All by halarho(op): 10:01am On May 29, 2017
In truism, Nigeria is regarded globally as one of the most corrupt country in the world and this is due to the fact that a sizeable and measurable amount of criminals and criminality itself dominate Nigeria, Researchers from various angles have tend to identify the causative agent of Criminality in Nigeria and they found one notable element which is POVERTY.
Poverty is a serious menace facing Nigeria as a nation and it is very detrimental to the development of Nigeria in the sense that it has created different criminal and mischievous acts, In the word of Aristotle " POVERTY is the mother of revolution and crime", when you talk of crime act like rituals, murder, rape, public fund embezzlement amongst others, POVERTY generated all of these, the " how and why" analysis will be considered in this text extensively.
First, why poverty?, why are we poor in Nigeria, Is it because we are black or because we are not that civilized or our mischievous deeds caused us to be poor, or in the other way round, our fore father's mischievous deeds caused us to be poor. Looking at it from the religious perspective, It is well documented in the Holy Quran that two reasons might cause us to be poor and these reasons I put under two different headings, which are as follows;
-Poverty is natural or divine - Of course poverty is divine or natural in the sense that God might use this as a test to examine individual's level of faith, and in this regard, it does not matter if you are well economically oriented that you can manage efficiently your available resources or not, we have seen many that can not read nor write not to talk of being economically exposed and the are living up to their expectation, they are not as poor as their level of economic study exposure, and we have also seen those that are sound economist that will set up a business and everything will get ruined and bankrupted, so in this wise it does not matter whether you are intelligent or not, it is just natural and can only be explained by the creator of everyone.
And with this Allah noted that "We shall test you with some ominous events like poverty, death, hunger and so on".
-Poverty is self inflicted - From this angle we can say poverty is caused and determined by individuals, that is if you want to make yourself poor you can do and vice versa by not managing your resources efficiently or the other way round. With this also we can say America as a country is rich because she is able to manage her resources efficiently and Nigeria is poor because she is not able to manage her resources efficiently. Allah also noted in this that" Whatever bad circumstances you find yourself you inflicted it on yourself"
Gathering the two points we could Nigeria is poor because it is natural and also self inflicted, and due to this a sizeable amount of Nigerians are poor and cannot live in a convenient and comfortable life. Our leaders inflicted this on us by mismanaging the economy and not utilising the resources God has blessed us with judiciously, In term of resources, Nigeria is far better than South Africa, even America, we are blessed with rich natural resources like coal, timber, crude oil which is backbone of this century but we are still poor because we are unable to manage these resources efficiently, and because of our poor condition we tend to become criminals because we got no choice than to steal, kill to be rich, engage in rituals using human parts, embezzle public fund, engage in fraudulent amongst others, all in the name of becoming rich, as an quote rightly says "Nobody wan carry last".
Imagine a person who is not capable of taking two square meal daily not to talk of three and had been looking for job but got none, and a person told him to look for human organ before getting rich instantly, or go to rob a fellow colleague, or embezzle public fund or engage in fraudulent activities 'which are all criminal acts and punishable under the law of the land', do you think the person will engage in those evil act or remain in POVERTY?, ask yourself and put yourself in that person shoe, what will you have done if it were you. So it is not that we are all criminals naturally in Nigeria but poverty triggered us to be, as Aristotle noted that " In every life situation something is always directed to cause another".
It is on this platform I urge the government of Nigeria to please do something drastic to our poverty level in Nigeria, people are dying of hunger while the government officials keep enjoying and do not even think of food, I think they don't know what it means to be a leader, A leader is just like the slave of his community as Muhammad S.A.W noted, but here in Nigeria reverse is always the case the leaders are the one enjoying while the followers keep suffering, A leader "Umar bn Khattab" was reported to always starve himself except he has gone round and find out that everyone in the community are satisfied with their feedings. Are our leaders like that in Nigeria, anybody elected will always think of going there and embezzle public fund, the money that is meant for a whole community will be kept in the house of a single individual and we keep blaming God for this, Poverty in the case of Nigeria is self inflicted we caused it ourselves by mismanaging the resources duely granted to us by God.
Conclusively, A very drastic something should be done to make the poverty level in Nigeria to get minimised to the bearest level, because we do not just engage in crimes it is because we are poor, when everyone is rich who will dear think of stealing another person's property or embezzling public fund or killing for getting rich, so it is not over until it is over, I think an amendment could still be made, and if care is not taken the crime rate in Nigeria continues to get high and this is because we are all poor.

PoliticsNigeria Is Nowhere To Be Found by halarho(op): 9:21pm On May 28, 2017
NOWHERE TO BE FOUND........
The continuous irritative and provocative drastic change in Nigeria could only be solved if there is an understanding of what constitutes the problem we are facing presently and tackling it through the intervention of various scholars who are vast in the socio- politico- economic make up of the society and not appointing those who are not capable, illiterates, and have no experience about the nature and dynamics of the social milieu we find ourselves as leaders.......and this is the only way we can make it in Nigeria.
Moreover the purpose of establishing universities and educational institutions has been taken for granted and forgotten, to remind the government officials, Schools are premised on the basis of solving the problems faced in the society, where are the write ups of the great professors of economics about Economic Recession and other valuable texts that suggests solutions to the problem faced by Nigerians, to be frank and candid they are NOWHERE TO BE FOUND, they are just written for writing sake, where are the scholastic project topics tackled by the great scholars, what is the result of the seminars and other lectures held in the various universities of Nigeria, the answer is they are NOWHERE TO BE FOUND.......
It is about time our so called public administrators woke up from slumber and access the future of Nigeria as a country because we don't even know where we are going, and when the outcome of the misconduct done by the so called leaders arrive no one will be left out........
It is therefore on this platform I urge each an every one of us to serve as reminders of government officials about their duties because they took for granted what they supposed not to take for granted, It is better we change to better before Nigeria is NOWHERE TO BE FOUND
in the African Continent Map......
