HLF YOUNG ACHIEVERS AWARD- CATCHING THEM YOUNG!

HLF is looking for young Nigerians with great potentials…..do you know any?

In pursuance of our main objective to identify role models for the younger generation to emulate, Hallmarks of Labour Foundation has this year, turned its search light on the youth. To nurture and groom tomorrow’s leaders, mindful of the fact that the investment in our human capital is crucial to our development as a nation. Indeed, no nation can be truly great unless the mental energy of her youth is properly harnessed. It is to this end and the promotion of the virtues of hard work, patriotism, healthy rivalry, honesty and integrity, that Hallmarks of Labour Young Achievers Award was initiated.

No doubt, Great changes in destiny of mankind can be affected only in the minds of little children says Sir Herbert Read.

Our Mission:
To discover young Nigerians with great potentials. Mentor, encourage and provide a platform for them to realize their maximum potentials while showcasing them as examples for other youths to emulate.

Our Vision:
To build and nurture confident youth positioned to lead the change for a greater Nigeria.

To qualify:
The candidate must be a Nigerian within the ages of 7 to 26 years, with exceptional/ unusual creative ability displayed in any field of human endeavour. E.g Academics, Creative Arts, Environmental and Community Service, Science & Technology, Sport, etc.

Here are some nominees:

• Peter and Paula Imafidon – are the youngest persons ever to pass the University of Cambridge’s advanced mathematics exam at age 8 and also the youngest ever to enter high school
• Christiana Adeloye was the Best performing student in WASSCE for the year 2011
• Opemipo Sodipe- is the youngest P. HD holder in Nigeria at age 25
• Adeyemi Olabisi- broke academic record when she became Nigeria’s first youngest P.HD holder at age 26
• Onarietta Remet- is one of the world youngest exhibiting artists at age 7 with over 300 works
• Kimberly Anyadike- is the youngest female pilot in the world at age 15
• Olatunji Ebun-Cole- at age 13 is already a world class actor
• Dee Alli – is the youngest person ever to pass GCSE in the United Kingdom at age 5
