PoliticsRe: Supreme Court Reserves Judgment In Turaki's Appeal Over PDP Leadership by Halo22: 4:16pm On Apr 25
As if President Tinubu hasn't been determining the decision of the Supreme Court all along. U think we are gullible.
Rebelutionary:
So in essence you are saying that if the judgement doesn't align with your layman opinion, Government interfered right?

Hmm

The judges should do justice without minding whose ox is gored! Anybody not happy should whatever is needful for them!
PoliticsRe: Supreme Court Reserves Judgment In Turaki's Appeal Over PDP Leadership by Halo22: 4:50pm On Apr 22
To reserve a case actually means to study the content of the appeal better and decide on the appropriate ruling to deliver. However, I hope the FG wouldn't interfere, especially in the case of ADC, where it's crystal clear that the entire NWC members resigned their positions and handed over to David Mark and Ogbeni Aregbesola. Turaki's appeal might not hold sway cos there was no State and Local Government Congress before the National convention.

Some people are so shameless in this life. Of all the people, Yul is talking. I wonder if he is really a descendant of Pete Edochie.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Reshuffles Cabinet, Sacks Wale Edun, Dangiwa by Halo22: 8:07pm On Apr 21
Well I think u made some good points towards the end of ur post because you were completely out of point at the initial stage of ur comment. We should blame the power minister and by extension, the President himself, who promised steady and uninterrupted power supply in the course of his campaign. If he had used quarter of the petroleum subsidy amount to cushion the cost of electricity, we won't be complaining by now. To make matters worse, they have switched to solar energy in Aso Rock, a pointer that they would no longer be serious with the conventional hydro-electricity from the Dam.
nairalanda1:
You guys should stop blaming the Power minister for power problems in Nigeria

UNtil all of you NIgerians are ready to pay cost reflective tarrif, they can make Jesus christ minister of power and we will still be in darkness.

POwer has been privatised since 2013, and all your goverments since then have been starving it of funds in the name of keeping power cheap. You people also clap for those who chase away people that come to disconnect those that steal power.and you hail the power theives..and meter bypassers......and you expect light?

You can abuse me now, but facts is facts...and yes, I do not like the power minister, na politican, but facts is facts.

I mean in 2013, GEJ had a professor of electricity in charge of the ministry, yet we were having groid collapses and power issues, because of lack of cost reflective tarrif

I mean until band A came along, all the country was underpaying for power. ANd after band A came, na only 20% of the country wey dey pay for power at cost reflective rate, the rest underpay and now 20% don't even pay for the power they use.

And people like it that way, as do your politicans...meaning no money or investment to improve things (if you had a billion dollars, you go put am for power supply, where you won't see ROI because people think that electiricty must be free of charge).

So at the end, you end up in darkness.

And again, until cost reflective tarrifs are in place, or until you are ready to tolerate borrowing of up to 20-30 trillion naira annually for at least 5 years, ie at most 150 trillion naira over 5 years to fix things, nothing will change.

And yes, there is corruption, because when you starve a business of its right to set prices, they will make money by wuru wuru ways. And yes, that is why you have to buy wires , poles and transformers, because most of you don't want to pay the cost reflective tarrif that would enable the discos and gencos buy all that and fix it for you.

See the problem? Oh no, na to blame generator people, and even Atiku self..lol. As if Atiku dey sell all the generators for nigeria.

Never ever support a government like tinubu that believes in setting prices.

I mean, see our telecoms sector. When it was NITEL, and when people were paying government price, the sector was bad. Then GSM came in and service improved because GSM companies were allowed to charge cost reflective tarrifs.

Even then NTEL, the government run GSM company, at once point, MTN and econet were charging twice of what NTEL was charging....which meant they could afford better services compared to NTEL...which crashed. Today it exists as a phoenix company that only offers internet service.

Well Tinubu should be calculative politically, I think he should return Ambode to complete another four years and then hand over to Seyi cos Tinubu from what I am seeing, is an an OTP.
PoliticsRe: US Military Presents Plan For Potential Action In Nigeria by Halo22: 9:01am On Nov 06, 2025
And most of us think US Navy is yet to arrive the gulf of Guinea, they're already mounted there before dropping this action plan. Their Air force group is already in our Air space and soon reports will be released. My interest is not just eliminating the terrorists, but their sponsors should be dealt with equally.
CrimeRe: Nigerian Deported From India For Drug Trafficking And Overstaying (Pictured) by Halo22: 3:12am On Oct 11, 2025
Coldspice:
In india, they can tell Igbos apart from other nigerians.

In india, if a group of nigerians are walking, the police will stop them and pick out only the igbos there. They will let others go but search and frisk the igbo there.

In pakistan, once you arrive at the airport and they see that you're Nigerian, they put you aside. Once they see you're igbo or they see Chi anything in your names, they deport you immediately without reasons.

Igbos need to stop this stupid behaviour of committing crimes everywhere thinking they are smart. You end up pissing your hosts off and when they break your head, you start crying marginalisation, hatred, bla bla.
Ur racist statement about Igbos is borne out of ur hatred and you have violated the rules of this platform.
PoliticsRe: Saro-Wiwa, MOSOP Leaders Framed, Wrongfully Executed — Falana by Halo22: 3:07am On Oct 11, 2025
If an inciting statement was made by Saro-Wiwa and that led to the killing of some Ogoni elders whether they fought on the Biafran side during the war or not, then he should bear the consequence for that action. Though executing him outrightly without option of appeal, could have some undertone. The lesson to be learnt in Saro-Wiwa's case is not to allow ur personal interest supercede the norms in the society. Do not betray ur people in order to enjoy the common patrimony.

Shey when you finish taking your community youth and chiefs to court, and win, you will come back to the community and live in peace...yea?

Who has right to excommunicate one from his own home...?
The traditional system.

We should even look at the legality of these community constitutions.
Excommunication, Ostracizing and banishment are all illegal going by the constitution of the country as they are all regarded to as self-help.

I watched the video clip and all I kept hearing was give me my cloth. Now my question is, what kind of cloth would be in contest to warrant such uproar? For me, that guy should be protected all round by both himself and his people else, a tragic story is in the making.
CrimeRe: Married Woman And Lover Publicly Humiliated By Angry Villagers Over Adultery(Pix by Halo22: 8:06pm On Sep 11, 2025
In as much as I do not support a man screwing another's wife especially when the later is still living, but the act of mobbing or parading them is completely unlawful. If not for naivety, the couple could file a valid case against those villagers and claim damages because first, it was totally consensual as none of them was coerced into the act. Secondly, if the husband of the woman was still alive, he was in a better position to take action and not those guys in the picture. People should be very weary of what they are doing these days to avoid had I known.

PoliticsRe: Governors, Stop Squandering Fuel Subsidy Windfall - Daily Trust by Halo22: 9:44pm On Aug 22, 2025
Why giving the funds to the Governors in totality? If that money was directly channeled into Health and Education, I don't think things would be this uneasy for the masses. Now, how do u hold Governors accountable when you don't know the exact percentage of the subsidy money they collect individual?

I don't know what happens to these people's finances when they are done playing football. It took the intervention of the Enugu state govt to give Christian Chukwu a befitting burial. Is it that they don't invest their money into some other businesses?

You are even lucky to be grabbing up to 500k monthly. How much is the salary of Professors currently? Of a truth, u have already attained a very great height in the academic sector of life. Just continue running ur tutorials even as u wait for the Job u are targeting. Also, it's better to opt for universities and not polytechnics, where ur chance of being a Prof is not assured.
PoliticsRe: PDP Leaders Disagree Over Jonathan, Obi, Makinde by Halo22: 1:59am On Aug 21, 2025
Did I read that Wike and his men are supporting Obi's candidature? I earlier said it, if Wike should dump his former boss (Goodluck Jonathan) to route for Obi, then there's more things than meet the eyes. Wike should be expelled for anti-party affairs before any consideration.
BusinessRe: How I Dropped Out Of High School And Didn’t Go To University – Femi Otedola by Halo22: 10:32pm On Aug 19, 2025
No need spewing thrash, Otedola just narrated his past with formal education and he didn't go along from his points. I just simply consolidated on some points I have earlier been emphasizing on from time immemorial.

Formal education is not a guarantee for financial success and prosperity. If you want to make it reach in this country, no too go school. Focus on your dreams and work towards implementing it. Most importantly, if you want to be stupendously rich, start up a business and build it along with yourself.

PoliticsRe: Pictures Of People Abducted By Security Forces In The SE, Never To Be Seen Again by Halo22: 9:51pm On Aug 18, 2025
Of a truth, Nigerian police is the most inhumane police agency in the whole world. The ill-treatment and torture they give to suspects even the ones that they know are innocent is to high heaven. Just pray you do not have criminally related case in Nigeria, because ur life might be cut short even in the process of their demonic investigation.

As for the people arrested and are missing, it will take only the grace of God and probably international intervention before they could come back, if they are still alive. I think the OP mentioned the names he could as they are still more and more people that we are not aware of and have no traces. Tueh on the institutions in Nigeria.

Even Rotimi Amaechi who rolled out billions of Rivers money to support their coalition and emergence into Power in 2013 might not escape being dragged. Okowa's 2trn case has gone down the drain, as he entered APC, his sins are already forgiven.
