My husband's on a tier 4 visa which expires January 31, 2022. I'm applying for a dependent visa now. However when i got to the IHS surcharge part, i discovered the fee was 0$. I was worried, but saw a part that reads: You usually need to pay the healthcare surcharge if you’re applying for a visa or immigration application: for more than 6 months, if you’re applying outside the UK Then i realized, this could be as a result of the fact that the main applicant (my husband) does not have up to 6 months left on his visa. Has anyone been through this kindly? Is it normal i dont pay for the IHS surcharge based on this situation? Kindly shed light. |

Patnuel2015:No. This isn't a system glitch. Its deliberate. If tried with a visa expiration date that exceeds 6 months. It's bringing the normal ihs fee. 1 Like |
