It's from "Isu-ama".
That's the word Ikwerre and Ogba people use to describe Igbos. I think it's from the errenous assumption that all Igbos are from the ancient Isu clan of Igbo that inhabit Northern Imo and Southern Anambra.

Funny enough, Ikwerre people call Owerre people Isoma too, while Owerre people call other Igbo speaking groups around them, Isoma.

It's akin to how Ngwas call all other Igbo speaking groups North of Ngwa land "Ohuhu".

Ikwerre and Ogba people use the Isoma thing in condescending manner.
One Ogba rabid Igbo hater in Ogba facebook page, told me that in the past, my Isoma people use to come to farm for his ancestors for a peanut as pay, since Ogbalands were more fertile than Isoma lands. That his father told him that Isoma people are people of lowly background, who worked for Ogba people in their farmlands while Ogba people rested at home, and that Ogba people are descendants of Bini princes. That they can't be Igbos, that Igbos are Isomas.

So you can see, a part of their resentment of Igbo tag is deep rooted in generational arrogance passed down to them, which portrays them as royal blood, and Igbos(Isomas) as Slaves (labourers).
Yet they would always swear that Igbos are arrogant, and that's why they hate Igbos. You can imagine the irony.
I bet they expect us to come and start working on their farmlands again, to be adjudged humble. This is why I easily dismiss claims of arrogance against Ndiigbo by Bitter Igbophobic Nigerian groups. It's often ironic, if you dig deeper into their claims, you find out they are rather the arrogant ones, who expect Ndiigbo to not rise, in other to be adjudged humble.
Imagine the psychological impact on Ndiigbo to use Port Harcourt Airport with Ikwere?

On route, u will meet a Chiamaka, that will speak Igbo with you and then later tell u that She is not Igbo.

Just imagine the impact on the Igbo people and their confidence/ unity?

Just as u see them claiming Igbo in Nollywood.

One day, wen we execute the South East development master plan, u can bet, they will swarm the East.

The East is peaceful and has a sought of serenity that is hard to find elsewhere in this country, with our beautiful palm trees.

Ogba people have been trying so hard to infest Ohaji/Egbema parts of Imo state with their cultism.

Places like Awarra in Ohaji are now cultist den, no thanks to seeds sowed by Ogba cultists there.

Rochas is trying to stop the fire from Ogba from spreading to Ohaji, Egbema and rest of Imo.
Ok, becos i did not fully understand wat was going there.

Nke anyi bu nke Anyi.

I tell people that Ph is the future Jerusalem. The Ikwerres and Ijaws have a score to settle over the ownership of Ph. Ndiigbo must do well to stay away from it, and let them sort themselves out, when the time comes.
We should stop giving groups who naturally are enemies to each other, use shared hate for us to find a middle ground for fake unity. We must deny them of that fake unity, by staying away from the equation. And the way we do this, is via "Aku luo uno". Even wise men like Obi of Onitsha are singing the same song. Aku must luo uno. And part of Aku ilu uno, is by ensuring that we invest in key infrastructures in Igboland, whose absence in Igboland could make us dependent on non Igboland.

For example, we must reject violently, attempts to sell Ph airport as a substitute to Enugu international Airport.

That's how we win this war, ndi nkem.
So true...

That airport Federal Government site in Port Harcourt is a trap to lure Igbo to Port Harcourt, just as Ijaw and Ikwere are about to settle ownership.

Igbo have long moved on from Port Harcourt.

We look at the place with disgust and treat it with contempt.

Port Harcourt is rubbish.

Leave Don wanny and his Ogba people.

Those ones hate for Igbo, Ikwerre Igbo hate is child's play to compare to Ogba Igbo hate.

In Ogbaland, they don't sell lands to Ndiigbo. It's a community wide decision, borne out of deep seated resentment for Ndiigbo.

Don wanny isn't different from his Ogba people. His death was deserved and has nothing to do with Ndiigbo.
I was surprised he was in Enugu.

Ogba call us Isoma too. And they say it in condescending manner.
Yes, I'm in Ogba facebook forums. Nope! I'm not jobless. grin
How do u see Okorocha giving them anmesty, is it becos of the other half of them in Imo State?

We igbos are only industrious when we chase money. We do not care about anything else if doesn't bring money. The kind of infrastructure that we get doesn't concern us. We only come online to pay lipservice and speak big big grammar.

If we really want to change things happening in the east, we can start the process. But we are too concerned about other things so we do nothing. Most of us here use this thread as a pass time not as a rallying point for a new Igbo nation.

To answer your question; we are not weak but we love to be stupid.
Where i take fear Ikwere hatred of Igbos, is the way Wike nearly finished that Igbo speaking Militant group of Don Wanny.

Even followed one of them to Enugu.

Okorocha had to step in to save them.

Now, wat stop Wike from doing same to his Ikwere or even Kalabiri Militant who are more in numbers?

Nwanne,, I understand. Bianca lost, I wanted her to win. But it's not the end of the world. Remember that Ojukwu lost election in old Anambra as well. So don't let Mischievous impostors who are trying to bring the Enugu-Anambra issue into it, in vain attempt to divide Ndiigbo.
We know better. When Ojukwu son told Bianca to return to Enugu, the topic was brought in Ndi Anambra forum on facebook , where real Anambra people with real face, all in majority condemned Ojukwu son, and reaffirmed that in Igbo tradition, a woman automatically becomes an indigene of her husband place.
Okonjo Iweala took Abia slot as a minister of finance, and not Delta.

Bianca losing a primary election is not the end of the world. Her husband Ojukwu did, and it never took away the way Ndiigbo regarded him.
Bianca can still serve Ndiigbo in many other capacities.

Let it go. Stop feeding the trolls.

If you really want to sleep well at night, just forget about Ikwerre. Some of them who are IPOB members were preaching about unity with us but they weren't having it. They hauled insults on them and were advising the admin to remove them. These were adults in their 30's and 40's. A woman said if her daughter brings an isoma to the house, she's going to disown her. I was very surprised at the level of hatred shown by them.

Just forget about those people, we can do better with better alliances than those guys. They even believe they are better because of the prince story they added to their history. They were really hilarious most times though.
I cannot forget about people that are f..u.cking with us.

There son cancelled flights to Enugu last christmas and have removed Enugu from the list of international airport.

How long shall we continue to ignore?

Are we weak?

U get people claiming Benin solely becos of the Benin culture and throne.

We have Obi of Onitsha and this particular Obi Nnaemeka has done really well in terms of celebrating Igbo culture.

The truth is, he cannot do it alone.

We also have the Eze Eri, who is actively projecting the Igbo culture beyond our shores and across the transatlantic world.

He cannot do it alone.

We have Flavour and Phyno, who have used their music to reach a wide range of Igbo youth outside the southeast and southsouth zone.

They cannot do it alone.

We have Nollywood.

Yet, we need cultural representation in the political sphere.

This was y people voted APGA and bought into their famous slogan nkea bu nke anyi.

We want to see active igboist actively representing us on national and state level.

In the whole world, there is one sun.

We can all see that sun and enjoy it.

Certain people represent the sun.(symbolism)

They are visible to people even in far away Malaysia, US, Russia.

They are the ones driving and promoting culture.

Culture is very important and we should learn to do things for our culture.

All i want is for my Igbo people to start promoting their culture using cultural figures.

Bianca Ojukwu is alife today, let us enjoy her and uplift her as a rally focus for all Ndiigbo to be proud.

When she is no more we move to Ojukwu first son, as the order of things.

Wen we shamefully drop such people we are doing the biding of our adversaries who will laugh and say even the Igbos reject Ojukwu.

We need to grow a sense of culture.

Stop living in fools paradise, those guys do not love us one bit.
If Tonto and Chinda did not tell u something, then u are sleeping.

Alot of the people running around with Igbo names married to Yoruba are actually Rivers and Delta.

Take a look at Ikwere and Ika people, they have nothing good to say about Ndiigbo.

Absolutely no respect wat so eva.

They rather look to Edo and Benin with admiration and respect.

It comes down to the way Igbo treat and represnt themselves as substandard.

Everybody want to make money out of Igbo people but none of them are investing in Igbo land or on Igbo People.

Instead Ndiigbo will use port Harcourt, let them use Lagos or Abuja until Enugu is concessioned.
