Four weeks now, good people of APC in Lagos, who believe in the party’s national leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, have been raising voices against plans of Mr. Tayo Ayinde, Chief of Staff to Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on a list of campaign team Mr Ayinde and Baba Eto having been secretly putting together, with aims to lure it on the Gov and cajole him with some innocent people they put on the list. But their plans is to make money from the campaign structure. since, whatever funding that is made available for the service will go through them. The party members also raised concerns against such move because they believe that the formation of the Gov re-election campaign structure suppose to be on prerogative of the Governor and his Deputy. It was discovered that both Mr. Tayo Ayinde and Baba Eto wanted to play fast move, as smart guys, on the Gov, his deputy and all other people that matters, so that they can have upper hands on the list before Governor realize anything. Mr Tayo Ayinde and Baba Eto have put their own people in the key, key positions, juicy offices and even remove some key people from the structure including Abdullahi Enilolobo, and other people which there may not be need to mention their names here. The innocent Gov and his deputy need to stand up against these two men moves, their structure and plans would not yield good results on the coming elections. Part of Key Positions they fielded their People are; BABAJIDE OLUSOLA SANWO OLU CAMPAIGN ORGANISATION (BOSCO) 2023 (ICG) S/N POSITION CARDINAL ODUNMAKU (BABA ETO) CHAIRMAN CAMPAIGN COUNCIL TAYO AYINDE-DIRECTOR GENERAL AKIN IBESANMI: DEPUTY DIRECTOR GENERAL DIRECTOR OF MOBILISATION: LADI BALOGUN( Removing Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo) DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS: BODE OLANIYAN (P.A to Baba ETO) DIRECTOR OF WELFARE: MS THOMAS KEMI (P.A to Chief of Staff) DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL DUTIES : TONY EZE (TAYO AYINDE'S BOY) DIRECTOR OF VOLUNTEERS: BABATUNDE TELLA (ERRAND BOY BABA ETO) DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH AND INTELLIGENCE: Barrister Doyin Banjo (Chief of staff diehard loyal boy) DIRECTOR OF WOMEN AFFAIRS: SHOLA ONAJOBI (BABA ETO'S WOMAN FRIEND) DIRECTOR OF SECURITY: ABUBAKAR OLALEKAN ( CHIEF OF STAFF LOYAL BOY) DIRECTOR OF ADMIN; ALHAJI SHOLANKE MUSEDIQ: ( Childhood friend of Chief of Staff) Etc. Retaining few political gladiators such as: Bayo Osiyemi, Director of Traditional /Chieftaincy Sesan Olanrewaju, Director Party Affairs Wale Adelana, Director of Ethnic Lawal Pedro, Director of Legal Tokunbo Wahab, Director of Education while the position of council chairmen in Lagos State were retained in the Leaked List. |
All efforts by well meaningful people of Lagos to make Lagos greater for urborn generations may completely be jeopardized, if care is not properly taken and people that matter do not in earnest call Mr Tayo Ayinde, Chief of Staff to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu, to order or stop his moves to seize power and put the Governor’s re-election campaign team under his control, just to gain monetarily and retain his COS through the campaign proceeds. Despite his position as chief of staff to the Lagos state governor, it seems the man is not contented with whatever he has acquired through the office, himself and some older people in APC, including Baba Eto, are having sleepless nights on how they must also make fortunes from the Governor’s re-election campaign. Mr Ayinde, by tricks and game plans is to install his alley and childhood friend, one Akin Ibisanmi, as Sanwo-Olu’s re-election campaign DG, whereas these moves were suspected long after the conclusion of APC primary election in Lagos, by people close to the governor who immediately called the governor’s attention to the Chief of Staff’s plans. Now that All eyes are on Mr Tayo Ayinde’s sinister moves, he is planing to drop his friend and have DG job to himself despite’s his position in the Sanwo-Olu cabinet. Meanwhile, all Mr. Ayinde efforts to secure a recognized place for himself within Tinubu campaign office in Abuja or anywhere else did not work and it is looking that the Chief of Staff is likely to loose at both ends, that's why he want to ensure that he is able to keep a place for himself here in Lagos state. As we speak, the chief of staff have been conducting series of meetings in connection to his game plans to persuade Mr Gov. to allow him install any candidate of his choice for the campaign, and if that fails, he should be considered best man for the DG job, even as Chief of Staff. The chief of staff and Baba Eto were recently sighted on a plane on their ways to London, where, according to one of Mr. Tayo Ayinde’s aides, said the two men tidied up their plans four weeks ago and that they have also concluded a list of members they want to stylishly impose on the innocent Governor. We are calling Attention of well meaning Personalities that matters in the state to quickly save Lagos from Tayo Ayinde and his cronies before things get out of hands..

By Favour OLABANJI Lagos, the country's former capital, is unarguably its largest city in terms of population. With an estimated 14.3 million people according to the UN, it is also the 4th largest economy in Africa. This much-talked-about city, on its territorial land area of 351,861 hectares, is made up of five administrative divisions, namely: Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos [Eko], and Epe. The divisions were created in May 1968 by virtue of Administrative Divisions [Establishment] Edict No. 3 of April 1968. They were further divided into 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas respectively. This was in accordance with Nigeria’s federal structure and the need to bring governance, development and participatory democracy to the grassroots. Putting a firm focus on LAGOS (Eko) division of the 5 existent Divisions in the state, one can see that it poses to be a trailblazer in its dealings from infrastructure to trade, politics and social development. No doubts, this Division in particular is the core of Lagos State and a highly urbanized division. It consists of five Local Governments: Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere, Apapa and Eti-Osa, as well as eight Local Council Development Areas which include Lagos Island East, Yaba, Itire-Ikate, Coker-Aguda, Ikoyi-Obalende, Apapa-Iganmu, Eti-Osa East and Iru/Victoria Island: the pivot of an ever expanding megacity and the divisional headquarters. The center and the most developed of this island chain, Lagos Island, is called ‘Eko’ by the indigenes. The name ‘Lagos’ is a derivative of a Portuguese imposition of ‘Lagos de Curamo’ or ‘Rio Lago’ on account of its wetland topography and network of lagoons. The Island is the cultural watershed of the White Cap [Idejo] Chieftaincy and metropolitan Lagos with the Oba of Lagos as the paramount monarch and primus inter pares of the state traditional authorities. Evidently, Lagos Division has proven to be eligible to celebrate its culture, history, scuffles, struggles, successes and distinctions as a trailblazer in the LAGOS STATE story. It is, in my opinion, intelligent, innovative and forward-thinking for an indigenous union of academias (National Union of Lagos Division Students, Lagos State University -- NULDS-LASU) under the Leadership of Comr. Shonibare Opeyemi to have initiated a novel ceremony to celebrate the Division's excellence and as well launch an indigenous culture-driven documentation of its history tagged "IPINLE Magazine". The potential of this laudable idea could have either been short-lived or crude in appearance, had it been starved of a master architect and idea implementation expert like Mr. Oluwatumininu Adetoro, who serves as the Chairman, Planning Committee of the Eko Day Ceremony and IPINLE Magazine Launch. He is assisted by a powerful and swift secretariat handled by an experienced documentation specialist, Mr. Ajibowu Yunus Olamilekan. Trust me, the design of excellence put together by the best hands in Lagos Division isn't what you would want to miss for anything in the world. On the 14th day of August, 2021, come and witness the excellence in Lagos that gives everyone a say irrespective of their varying indigenous backgrounds. This event, to celebrate indigenous excellence, will hold at the Arcade Hall of Eko Club off Bode Thomas, Surulere, Lagos State. Don't miss it!

E! K! O! EKO!!! ✊✊✊ It is said that “If nothing is done about anything, things will remain the way they are.” It is with this great enthusiasm that I, EDU ADAM OLAYIWOLA - EDUCARES, a student of Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (Aff. to UI) deem it necessary that there is need to challenge the status quo and bring about a responsive and responsible secretariat. The world is changing, the old way is failing; time and tide have in several associations swept away archaic and old-fashioned methods of documentation and brought in new, more dynamic and sophisticated ones. I believe NULASS should not be an exception to this progressive change, and it is on this note that I'm presenting myself as a catalyst to help bring about this much-anticipated evolution. In rejuvenating the NULASS National secretariat into a Responsive and Responsible one requires a lot of Competence, Capacity & Character. Never forget if talking of Competence; interestingly, I am a Content writer with a good Social Media influence. Through these skills I have help in effecting my chapter and other various organizations in several ways. Hereinafter, are the skills leveraged in my quest to shape the NULASS National Secretariat a new face of honour. When talking of Capacity, I Nulassite Edu Adam Olayiwola have served and represents in diverse capacities and garnished with wide range of experience. It should be noted, that I have served as the Publicity Secretary, Youth Crisis Awareness and Peace Forum (YCAPF), Lagos State, Fin. Secretary, NULASS MOCPED Chapter, Editor, Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Eredo LCDA Area Council, Editor, Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), MOCPED Branch, and also Publicity Secretary, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Lagos State Axis and served in lots of committees to mention but few. With this, I believe I'm going to succeed by the Special Grace of God if I'm given the privilege to serve this noble union as the General Secretary. If it's about character; well, I think the best way to know my true character is by reaching out to my colleagues, friends, mentors and of course, my parents and siblings. I'm sure you'll get a fair description of my personality from these sets of people which will throw you into an unending crave for my service. These three; Competence, Capacity and Character are needed to bring about a New secretariat that will serve the interest of fellow Nulassites effectively. My vision of a new secretariat is predicated on Digitalization, Responsiveness and Responsibility. The time for a digitalized secretariat is now. With my expertise in web development, I'm going to work in team with my fellow executives and develop standard website for the association where everyone can have access to some unclassified documents such as the association's constitution, beneficiary lists, programmes, and also pieces of information and events of the association in each chapter. Comment and suggestion box will also be provided on the platform. Also, documents will no longer remain in paper format alone, they will also be scanned into soft copy and saved in flash drives for easy access and historical purposes. To achieve all this, I really need your support, prayer, and vote. Proper documentation is the bedrock of every functioning secretariat. Only a goal-oriented person can help achieve this.
