prodam:Wow. Amazing insights there @prodam. I particularly like No. 5. Broken focus is often the cause of failure both in life and in business...it's even more frustrating when you focus on the wrong things because it can be more draining than anything else. I currently run a Free Business School on Facebook where I share weekly articles on wealth creation and management and I must say that focus has been an essential ingredient in the growth in recent times. SlimHan:Thank you for that question @SlimHan. Yes, there are times when money is needed like you rightly mentioned (in purchasing equipments) but that's not on every occasion and depend largely on what you choose to learn or start out with. There're are things you can do that you already have the equipment necessary to do. And then if you're at the second stage, you could even have people buy your equipments for you FREE! Each of those stages has specific skills you can use to get the best of them, that's why it's important to follow the process. Thank you. I started a 5 part series today on how to generate business ideas without struggle. I'm available to give practical advise to anyone who needs it. |
It is no longer news that the level of unemployment has grown at an alarming rate in the past few years. It is reported that there are currently 8 million unemployed persons in Nigeria. While the majority of unemployed people are carrying placards in a bid to compel the government to intervene, several others are simply applying for every job opening they can find under the sun. However, a select few who are armed with the right knowledge have gainfully employed themselves. Whether you are currently unemployed or looking to step out on your own, this article will empower you with the basic knowledge you need to become self employed. Self-employment refers to the act of generating one's income directly from servicing the needs of customers rather than being an employee who receives a fixed salary. The amount of money a self employed person receives is limited by the value and demand of the needs he has chosen to meet, his skill in meeting that need and the amount of customers he can serve per time. So what are the three basic steps to self employment? 1. Learn a Skill Learning a skill is the first step to becoming self employed. Skill is required in solving problems. Whether it is a web design skill, selling skill, braiding of hair, tailoring, writing, talking or whatever skill is required in your line of endeavor, learning is the first thing you need to do if you desire to become self employed. However, don't get stuck here. Many people keep learning without ever putting to use what they're learning about. 2. Do it When you've started learning the skill required for the course you've take on your journey to self employment, the next thing to do is to start doing it. This is the stage where you put to practice the things you've already started to learn in a safe environment. There are people around you with needs your skill can solve problems for and will gladly have you help them out for free. Find them. The goal at this point is not to make money but to practice the things you've learnt and have a feel of what it means to be working on the job path you have chosen for yourself. Well, you obviously shouldn't get stuck here else you'll be broke and keep getting a bunch of 'thank you' for all your effort. (That doesn't put food on the table, does it?) 3. Sell it The next stage on the journey to self employment is when you begin to exchange your services for a fee - that's what selling is about. If you've followed first and second stage diligently, the value of your work would have increased dramatically and you would have an idea of what price you would be comfortable with charging for your services. This is the point where you'll go out to find the people who are require your services and offer it to them for a fee. The three steps outlined here is the basic framework you can start to implement right away and begin your journey to self employment without hassles. And please don't complicate it. However, there are several questions you might need to answer at each of the stages for you to be successful, like "what do I learn?", "where and how can I learn it?", "how exactly do I sell it?" "when should I start selling it?" and several others. I have a closed Facebook group called "Kingdom Business Classroom" where I share wealth creation, management & multiplication tips and strategies to help you master the subject of money. We're currently taking a five part series on how to generate business ideas. Hello, I got the Tecno P3 android as a gift and as a result I'm trying to use it to prevent the person who gave it to me from being upset. I find that one cannot access the internet or recieve Multimedia Messages with the Sim 2 and my primary sim is not an etisalat line...which brings me to the question; Is it possible to unlock the phone to enable use an MTN or any other sim on SIM 1 slot? If yes, is it legal? Thanks in anticipation! |
Hmmn... I was thinking of how to write something on this before I dug out this post. Warts are very common and as wierd as it seems many people do not even know they have warts. I found out about warts when I had to start writing about it and it has been really eye opening... The same virus that causes warts is what causes Cancer and not many people know about that either. I am researching and sharing tips on how to get rid of warts on my new site: where to buy wartrol |

Why will people never let this woman some space? "Is that how success attracts opposition? " |
Young man, don't put undue pressure on yourself. While buying her something tangible is important, its the small details that really add up to get you the big points. Just learn to care for the little details and you'll be fine in no distant time - and please don't stalk her. |
First Things First... If I were you I'll focus on making myself a better person first - Self Improvement! That way I can look out for ways to add value to because I'll be bringing something to the table then. My Opinion Though. ![]() |
Mr Murdah: The 1st CommandmentAs simple as this sounds many people miss this step and realize after over 10 Different products bought and huge sum spent on internet subscription that they still don't seem to get a hang of things and then the lot throw in the towel and give up while the few bold and courageous ones who dare sit down and analyze everything and bounce back with a plan. Jesus Christ asks in the bible "For which of you, wishing to build a farm building, does not first sit down and calculate the cost [to see] whether he has sufficient means to finish it?" - Luke 14:28 Brian Tracy takes it from there and puts it this way; "He who fails to plan, plans to fail" Over the years I've discovered many people detest planning because it can be daunting and draining but believe me you can keep it simple for a start, don't over complicate things. But on the long run you are going to really have to sit down and draw a comprehensive plan if you are going to get far. I have been a victim of this in time past...I'm glad I learnt even though it came in the hard way. Nice Share... I'll follow this post. |
I got a mail from my friend (OIbhagui/dwightventures) this morning. I really wish he had not sent me a private mail since this is no longer a private matter. Here's the mail I got from him... Oseiwe oseiwe1 <dwightventures@gmail.com> Mon, Jun 3, 2013 at 4:25 AMTo which I replied... Hamza Mamudu <hamzidosh@gmail.com> Mon, Jun 3, 2013 at 4:43 AM |
Hello Readers, It's been a while since I posted on this thread and that's due to my academic commitments among others. I decided it was wise to attend to those who paid already and take no new client since delivering the job was requiring more resources and sacrifice than I anticipated or planned for. I received a mail last night concerning a scam allegation that I needed to clarify from a client [ariyebaba] who had my interest at heart but hey! I had an all night Rehearsals to attend and I wouldn't trade a night with God for even a meeting with the President! He's my Oxygen! My phone rang this morning and it was another client [quin9] calling to inform of the same allegation and that I should respond fast. FIRSTLY: I want to say a very big thank you to the duo that took out their time and resources to contact me although it literally had nothing to do with them. Its because of people like you that people like us pay the sacrifice to add value to ourselves and then give back to the community! SECONDLY: I want to appreciate quin9 and OIbhagui for the courage to do business online and the patience they had with me when patience was all that I needed to get by. God Bless You Both! THIRDLY: I want to say a big SORRY to all those who sent in emails for the second batch and I disregarded them (some without an explanation sef ). I hope you understand I was trying to prevent disappointing you or breaking your heart. Now unto the matter... I found post by OIbhagui (also goes by the namedwightventures) dated 29th May that reads thus Hi Nairalanders, if you were to read my previous posts, you'll know to what circumspection I hold Nigerians. However I think there are a few good ones here.Well, I understand the frustration and I hold no grudge against this fellow for this allegation. He that lives in me forbids me to do that so the purpose of this post is strictly to clear the air around that. What Happened... I finished the design of this guy's site in less than 3days... I sent him an email that reads Hamza Mamudu <hamzidosh@gmail.com> Sun, Apr 28, 2013 at 8:29 PMand after about ten days he sent me an email with the content. Oseiwe oseiwe1 <dwightventures@gmail.com> Sat, May 4, 2013 at 4:52 AMI came online to find the posts below...10th May I think quin9: Same here, been trying to reach him too,I mailed but no reply OIbhagui: This guy's number has been switched off for days now...and because I didn't want some of the people who have called me to indicate interest to suddenly start begging as usual (it has become normal that people still beg me to reduce the price even though I didn't charge for the service) so I sent him an email. Which Reads... Hamza Mamudu <hamzidosh@gmail.com> Sat, May 18, 2013 at 2:10 PM To: Oseiwe oseiwe1 <dwightventures@gmail.com> Hey, Sorry for suddenly dissappearing. I didnt mention that I was a student and as it is right now school resumed and lectures started aggressively plus my subscription got exhausted so you see reasons why I havent effected the changes right? Really sorry about that... I just renewed my subscription on wednesday and I have not had the chance to come online since until this night. I'll certainly create time to do your job and get finished in this week. Here's my personal number: 0703510****. the airtel will mostly be in my android phone and I like to use the wireless so I put off the phone to save power most of the time since I dont take it along to class. Thanks for your patience and understanding. Cheers! Did You See that?...I gave him my personal number. Which scammer would do that bro? Well He replied me... Oseiwe oseiwe1 <dwightventures@gmail.com> Sun, May 19, 2013 at 11:10 PMWell he thinks its more like an email address that you can easily run like that and I was not going to hand him cpanel login when I wasnt done with the job yet... Since he seemed to be impatient as I gathered from careful analysis...(I hope this was mostly due to his ignorance on webdesign though.) I sent him an email hoping he would easily contact someone or ask in close by in a cyber cafe for someone to handle this for him... Hamza Mamudu <hamzidosh@gmail.com> Mon, May 20, 2013 at 2:11 AMand he replied... Oseiwe oseiwe1 <dwightventures@gmail.com> Mon, May 20, 2013 at 8:27 PMAnd then... I effected the changes immediately and tried uploading it online but my cpanel was compromised. There were several attempts to break in on some of our sites ...especially the blogs.(One was hacked completely) and so my host provider carried out an upgrade which lasted for a few days and then implemented an IP Address security...which automatically logs me out when I try to log in to the cpanel. I sent an email and on Sunday 26th I got it rectified later the same day (Yeah... I build personal relationships which are more important to me than anything else you can imagine so I actually received attention even though it was a sunday) GIDEON HAMZAT <ham***@gmail.com> Sun, May 26, 2013 at 3:27 AM... Fortunately, while I was behind the scene trying to put stuff in place to get this brother's job done, he called me which was good ( or atleast So I thought till I heard what my brother had to say). He went on to say that he was becoming sick and tired (I understood with him so I kept quite), that I'm only an individual and not even a company (I didn't quite agree cos I am a moving conglomerate but I still kept quiet), That He is not interested in any story or appologies that He just wanted the job done and I replied "ok, I understand"(I understood because I hate stories too) and then he said "Oh! You are taking me for granted because I am not there physically right?" and there I was trying to figure out what to say to ease this guys tension for atleast the next few hours cos I was going to finish his job in MINUTES and the next thing I hear is "Ok! I know what to do to you. I know how to deal with you. I'm giving you grace and then I'll take action" and then he dropped the call. I was unhappy that he was unsatisfied but I was glad that I finished the job in about 15minutes after he called me. From the way he talked I respected him and I took it to be that He checks his site regularly and that's why he was talking the way he was. It was quite shocking when I saw that post Dated on the 29th May...Fraudulent Website Designer with my name on it while I actually finished the site 3days earlier. I was not aware of this fellow's actions and since I was cool with keeping people pissed and the Holy Spirit wouldn't permit that... I sent him an email that reads... Hamza Mamudu <hamzidosh@gmail.com> Thu, May 30, 2013 at 11:43 PMSo there you have it that pretty much explains what happened ... I felt really bad when I found out that although I passed through so much to deliver this guy's job and I eventually did but in only a few minutes when I prayed about it I felt so much peace that I can't find the right words to express...I'm grateful to God for that! I'm actually not excited about the whole event but I refuse to let the devil take advantage of that to get to me! To My Friend OIbhagui, "I totally understand your frustration at the way the process turned out and really wish it hadn't turned out that way. I am sorry it didn't turn out like you expected and I hope you find space to forgive me. If you want a refund of your money do send me your bank account details and I will be happy to send back your money for the sake of peace. Don't worry about my own resources and time invested in it...I'm also willing to hand over every thing about the site to you. Just get a webhost and signup on namecheap and I will transfer the files to you." Thanks in anticipation for your understanding! Cheers! Hamzat |
novine: Learn how to make money through selling of recharge cards. You won't go far spamming the forum & other people's thread. You need to learn how to 'sell' it'll help you a great deal. Cheers! |
Manutd19: Lovely. What about maize?Maize is a good one too but I know it requires fertilizer application to do well. If I decide to go mixed cropping I'd consider it but at the moment it hasn't come to mind yet. |
Just touching base to let you know that This offer is still opened. Anyone who hasn't paid their setup fee by 12 noon on Tuesday should not bother sending me an email as the offer would be closed by then. |
Hello Fellow Nairalanders, The rains are here again... I started thinking about diversifying and starting a farm this planting season and I thought I'd ask here on the forum for a few tips on what crops you would be growing and why you would rather grow that crop instead of any other. I'm sure other forumites would be inspired by your inputs. Let me set the pace here... The top on my list is groundnut and that's because it can literally survive without any form of fertilizer application and so I can just focus on getting people to do the weeding and harvesting as well as drying which are going to be the major areas of input. I hope this helps someone out there... Cheers! Hamzat |
Ijogz K: Ok thanks for the kind gesture.. Does it mean that the amount to be paid is now 5,500.. From the Initial 3K..@Ijogz K Lol... I thought about that too but for now it remains 3 Pages except otherwise stated. Shoot me a mail and I'll sure reply ASAP! |
Hello Fellow Forumites, In my quest to make giving a habit I'll be sharing a 3 step formula to starting your own business without money. It is becoming an irritation for me when I see every one talking about starting a business and talking about money as though it was all that capital is about. Unfortunately this is a myth! Starting a business requires Capital which is not necessarily money. Yes! Let that sink in "Capital is not necessarily money!" I hate stories as much as you do so Lets get to the point: STEP 1: Learn it! Knowledge is the highest and most relevant capital you need to start any kind of business. Go Learn something! Whether its how to speak french or how to ask a lady out (A huge market! )STEP 2: Do it! Don't just learn something and sit down with your knowledge. Do Something with the knowledge...remember practice makes perfect huh? So for instance if you have learnt how to design greeting cards - Just Practice! By Doing you learn what kind of problems could arise and how to tackle them. STEP 3: Sell it! Note This: You cannot make money without selling something! So find a way to sell your skill out. Whether as a product, product idea, service etc. Just Sell it! Be sure you are delivering quality and you'll be the "Go to guy" in no time. Dont worry about making money it'll come running your way if you get these steps right. I hope I have been able to inspire someone with this post. If you have any questions I'll be more than glad to help you out. |
hamziwhiz: Hello Fellow NairaLanders,Winners oF Batch A kunmi5 quin9 - Make Up Artist (Claimed her spot) kunmi5 OIbhagui - Security Surveillance (Claimed his spot) ariyebaba Ijogz K Batch B Commences After evaluating how Batch A of the Free Business Website Setup Went, The general response of the people, the challenges faced, the time and energy expended to make this a reality this might be my last free offer of this sort (Don't put yourself under pressure yet, I will still help a few people out at incredibly "cheap" prices. ).A few changes have been effected in the Batch B of this offer particularly in the requirements and selection. The Selection Process Preference is given to the following people who were winners in the first batch but didn't make their payments for the setup fee before the deadline due to one reason or the other. If during the period of this offer they decide to optin for it, their name automatically shoots up in the list so you guys should be on the look out. kunmi5 ariyebaba Ijogz K I'm a human and I have other things going for me so I'll only attend to the winners in order of their payment of the setup fee and not in the order of selection This whole offer aims at getting a total of 10 businesses online and as a result this second batch might take up to 8 people instead of 5 because this might be our last free offer. If you missed the first Batch, Be sure you don't miss this second one. So as seen from the previous offer 2 factors that can hinder you from benefitting from this offer are: * Order of selection * Order of Payment of Setup Fee Whats the Requirements For Batch B? You will need to pay for the domain name, hosting and for my internet connection (You'll recall that I didn't charge a penny for both the design and the internet for Batch A) which will cost N5,500 which is still small compared to the amount I'll charge normally for a basic website like this. NB: If you are interested in starting a blog you are welcome to optin too I still answer questions as mildly as I can so feel free to contact me via my email or preferabbly ask your questions on this thread. Please Do Not Call or Email Me with respect to selection. Selection is done ONLY here on the thread. |

I will pay the 3k. Just contact me through contactkismo@yahoo.comI dropped my email and phone number, You needed assistance and yet you still say I should contact you. What on earth is this about? Is this the same person operating multiple accounts or what?? ![]() |
Sorry but this offer is now CLOSED. Only 2 people had faith enough to pay the 3k setup fee & work is already in progress to ensure their site is up & running by Friday. Congrats to quin9 & Oibhagui! |
NB: Please when sending me your emails, always put your NL username on the subject that's how I can easily identify you and synchronize our discussions. Winners I know of for now are... quin9 kunmi5 OIbhagui ariyebaba I cant seem to place who the 5th person is from here...(Thats why I asked you guys not to contact me unless you are part of them)Please indicate before I give out your spot.
