A 32-year-old woman has been arraigned before the Enugu North Magisterial District Court after giving a fake testimony in a Lagos church, police in Enugu have said.

In a statement on Tuesday, the command’s spokesman, SP Daniel Ndukwe, said the suspect, Loveth Alo, was apprehended on Feb. 1.

According to the police spokesman, during interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and admitted that she acted alone.

“She was arraigned on a five-count charge, including obtaining by false pretence with intent to defraud, defamation of character, and attempting to commit felony.

“Detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department’s Legal Section were alerted following a petition against her,” Ndukwe said.

He said the petition alleged that she falsely claimed ownership of a five-bedroom duplex at WTC Estate, Enugu.

“She allegedly presented the property as hers during a testimony at Zion Prayer Ministry Movement Outreach in Lagos.

“In a viral video, she testified that God had blessed her with the acquisition of the house.

“Footage of the building was displayed in the church as she spoke.

“In another viral video, she allegedly claimed to have purchased the house for N200 million,” Ndukwe added.

The suspect was granted bail, and the case adjourned to April 9, 2025, for further hearing. (NAN)

Good evening guys well this is my first time doing this. I just want to hear you guys opinion, cause am currently serving in one private school so I met this girl just normal teacher in the school I confessed my feelings to her and you know the way nigerian girls are, at first she was forming hard to get and all , after sometimes she started relating and all well the issue here is she had a problem with her phone and I've 3 phones most of which has little issues the first one is infinix smart hd or something, I do use that to mine all this crypto update and all the other 2 phones cant mine so she started talking about me using 3 phones without even thinking about her, so I gave her my iphone 8 so we can you know communicate i didnt give her this phone to keep but to just use it for the main time and all, she didnt even show sign of appreciation, she was just like she's not comfortable with the way my pictures and my documents are on that phone I told her to chill up that at least gradually I'll start sending the pictures, this girl formatted the phone the next day. I decided to keep quiet about it now she has this sister that do complain about us being together to the point she insulted me when I gave her the phone she didnt ask where she got the phone from .
Now the issue here is that her dad saw us together yesterday slapped her and now she wants to break up so I told her we need to meet to discuss but my main plan is just to collect my phone back tomorrow, I dad didnt even ask her where she got the phone from, so I just want to ask if this is a good decision.
My friend was annoyed he saw he cant even believe at this stage am still doing hide and seek relationship with a girl the girl is 20 though.
