Greetings to all nairalanders in the house.
A special greeting to all the programmers of the house. I salute you all.
I’ve always dreamed of an android application for Nairaland and I ‘ve not been impressed at all by the ones available as they are all still browsers. Knowing fully well the “impossiblity” of building a custom app for Nairaland without the access to the database, I thought of another way out, which I got.
The work has started and the app is available for use now but with rooms for improvement. By this I don’t mean to say the app is not functioning but I have a set of objectives the app will perform and I’m taking them one after another. I have decided to release this while I complete the job. Forget it, this is not like the other apps you have seen. It’s my longing for a NL app and my dissatisfaction with the published ones(no offence intended )that gave birth to this.

Guy. Leave Olx is my advice. Even those cars outside Lagos, you will soon realize they are those same guys you talked about. We are in the same shoe and I've been following nairaland auto section hoping to find a very good car to be disposed off at a cheap price.

you just have to be careful! Anything Customs... or too too cheap cars when they are not fairly used even if they use used, you need to be extremely cautious. I needed am external hard drive, I searched olx and found a seller with a satisfactory price who claims to be in Lagos and can deliver within Lagos. So, I sent him a friend's phone number in Lagos asking the seller to deliver to the friend. I sent money to my friend and the transaction took place. I received my purchase 2 days after through someone coming to my location. Wisdom and Care.

I had called a guy whose car I saw on olx and he said the car is in Kano. I told him I will send somebody in Kano to come and inspect, he declined saying except I come myself to Kano or I pay 50K upfront for the car to be delivered to me. Those kind of transactions, I beg, run.

By the way, how will somebody in his right mind pay for a car he has not seen, and dealing with a strange, unknown individual.

Olx is a good platform to sell and buy but we have to be careful. Likewise, I exclaim at individuals ready to rip nigerians of our hard-earned money

One thing I disliked in N3 is the Android OS version which does not support the arabic fonts and which I need to use seriously. But now that D5 has come with 4.0 Android, I think I can have my way but I no get money buy another D5. My N3 is just a month old and I have a lot of downloaded(up to 100) apps.I'm aware that D5 has no 3G but I don't mind while I know someone there may be pissed of because of the lack of 3G.
