Education / Jamb Registrar Confirms 1.7million Candidates To Sit For Exam by Hardey1759: 2:50pm On Feb 15, 2017
JAMB: Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, has confirmed that about 1.7 million candidates are expected to write the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in April 2017.

This he made known on Tuesday at the Body’s retreat in Abeokuta which was filled with students, stakeholders and relevant civil society groups in attendance.

He declared that the Examination institution is working tirelessly to increase in its numbers of CBT centers so as to allow smooth run of the forth coming exams in April 2017

According to Prof. Ishaq Oloyede statement:

“We are expecting 1.7 million candidates to sit JAMB this year and we want to make sure we satisfy these candidates within a week or thereabout.

“That is why we are increasing the capacity of the Computer-Based Test centres to be able to examine more candidates within a given date.”

He however said that there is no 100% guaranty of institution’s success but they would try their possible best to be of better service to the candidates.

He said, “I must be frank with you, I cannot promise a hitch- free examination because we are testing certain things.

“We are changing certain things. We want to question the status quo and of course, we expect a fight back by interest that will be trampled upon.

“We are going to be as sincere as possible in the direction we are going. We are going to be as flexible as humanly possible. We are not promising a hitch-free examination.

“We envisaged that there will be hitches here and there, but they will not be insurmountable. Rather than promising the nation a hitch-free examination, we will be promising a direction we will all be pleased with.”

He also said, “We are creating some ICT facilities and we want our stakeholders, prospective candidates, respected scholars, institutions, civil societies to come together and critique what we are doing so that we can be sure before we go too far in a wrong direction.

“This is with a view to harvesting good ideas that could improve what we are doing.”

The CBT form of examination is here to stay and we would improve in Our services every now and them: He said

Celebrities / OPINION: Nigerians, Which Is Crashing? MMM Or Aso Villa #government by Hardey1759: 2:43pm On Feb 15, 2017
Dear Nigerians: This is a Question that requires Your attention and sincere answers on the State of MMM and The Presidency ( Aso Villa at large )

As we all know, many articles have surfaced online telling Us the dangers of MMM which has made many Nigerians have something in the Bank to boast about today opposite to the so called Government that has promised everything but has given absolutely NOTHING!

When MMM gained it's popularity and trust by some Nigerians, the SENATE, EFCC, CBN, BLOGs, TV Stations and likes warned strongly at the dangers of getting involed in it saying its a Ponzi scheme and therefore it will crash.

The PRESIDENT promised a lot during campaign for presidency, but as we all know, see and fell nothing good has been put in place else it has been poverty and suffering on Nigerians.

MMM Promised 30% and has fulfilled its promise and is still making progress ever since it came into operation in Nigeria

What they said of MMM

1. The promoter vanishes, taking all the remaining investment money.

2. Since the scheme requires a continual stream of investments to fund higher returns, once investment slows down, the scheme collapses as the promoter starts having problems paying the promised returns (the higher the returns, the greater the risk of the Ponzi scheme collapsing). Such liquidity crises often trigger panics, as more people start asking for their money, similar to a bank run.

3. External market forces, such as a sharp decline in the economy (for example, the Madoff investment scandal during the market downturn of 2008), cause many investors to withdraw part or all of their funds.

Why do I drizzymadbet believe that MMM Nigeria is a pyramid/Ponzi scheme lets look at the following reasons.

1. The promise of a 30 % ROI is outrageous and not in terms with standard rates of investment (Example one makes a profit of 30,000 naira for every 100,000 naira invested in the system in 30 days , excluding additions that comes from referral, signing up and testimonial bonuses) No legal financial company can offer you that investment plan.

2. Such “Return on Investments” been paid to older clients are money received from new clients and the circle continues, the 30% is never made from company profits. That is why there is aggressive ad campaign from the company(MMM Nigeria) paying massive additional bonuses to recruiters that they call guiders to conduct seminars and deceive gullible Nigerians into joining the scheme to keep the system alive.

3. The CEO of the company (MMM Nigeria) Seigei Marvrodi is a convicted fraudster and had run similar fraud schemes in Russia where he defrauded investors over a hundred billion dollars

Hmmmm - After all these and more not mentioned been said about the scheme, it has remained alive, hale and hearty and paying Nigerians till date

MMM also stated that You should use Your spare money to fund your account.

The PRESIDENCY Failed Promises

1. Public declaration of assets and liabilities

2. State and community policing

3. Ban on all government officials from seeking medical care abroad

4. Implementation of the National Gender Policy, including 35% of appointive positions for women

5. Revival of Ajaokuta steel company

6. Generation, transmission and distribution of at least 20,000 MW of electricity within four years and increasing to 50,000 MW with a view to achieving 24/7 uninterrupted power supply within 10 years.

7. Empowerment scheme to employ 740,000 graduates across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

8. Establishment of a free-tuition and scholarship scheme for pupils who have shown exceptional aptitude in science subjects at O/Levels to study ICT-related courses.

9. 720,000 jobs by the 36 states in the federation yearly (20,000 per state).

10. Three million Jobs per year

Religion / Re: What Happens After Ramadan? The Question To All Muslims by Hardey1759: 11:38pm On Jul 07, 2016
Hardey1759:
Ramadan as described by Islam faithfuls as the Holy Period in which they fast and abstain from their sinful ways.

After the called Holy Month, Ramadan, What happens next? But first;

What is Ramadan?

as adopted from Islam.about.com

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Every day during this month, Muslims around the world spend the daylight hours in a complete fast.
During the blessed month of Ramadan, Muslims all over the world abstain from all food, drink, and other physical needs during the daylight hours (such as smoking or sex). Ramadan is much more than just not eating and drinking; it is a time to purify the soul, refocus attention on God, and practice self-discipline and sacrifice.
Fasting during the month of Ramadan is considered one of the 5 Pillars of Islam -- five activities that shape a Muslim's life. Prayer occurs on a daily basis; pilgrimage is done once in a lifetime; charity and professing one's faith are both ongoing. Fasting the month of Ramadan is an annual observance; every year, Muslims take an entire month out of their lives to observe this strict fast and rededicate themselves to worship and faith.
Muslims are called upon to use this month to re-evaluate their lives in light of Islamic guidance.

Do's and Don't During Ramadan

We are to make peace with those who have wronged us, strengthen ties with family and friends, do away with bad habits -- essentially to clean up our lives, our thoughts, and our feelings.
During Ramadan, every part of our bodies must be restrained. The tongue must be restrained from backbiting and gossip. The eyes must restrain themselves from looking at unlawful things. The hand must give in charity, and not touch or take anything that does not belong to it. The ears must refrain from listening to idle talk or obscene words. The feet must refrain from going to sinful places. In such a way, every part of the body observes the fast.
Therefore, fasting is not merely physical, but is rather the total commitment of the person's body and soul to the spirit of the fast. Ramadan is a time to practice self-restraint; a time to cleanse the body and soul from impurities and re-focus one's self on the worship of God and charity to mankind.

Benefits of Ramadan

Through fasting, a Muslim experiences hunger and thirst, and sympathizes with those in the world who have little to eat every day.
Through increased devotion, Muslims feel closer to their Creator, and recognize that everything we have in this life is a blessing from Him.
Through increased charity, Muslims develop feelings of generosity and good-will toward others. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) once said, "A man's wealth is never diminished by charity."
Through self-control, a Muslim practices good manners, good speech, and good habits.
Through changing routines, Muslims have a chance to establish more healthy lifestyle habits -- particularly with regards to diet and smoking.
Through family and community gatherings, Muslims strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood, in their own communities and throughout the world.
Ramadan is a very special time for Muslims, but the feelings and lessons we experience should stay with us throughout the year. In the Qur'an, Muslims are commanded to fast so that they may "learn self-restraint" (Qur'an 2:183).

This restraint and devotion is especially felt during Ramadan, but we all must strive to make the feelings and attitudes stay with us during our "normal" lives. That is the true goal and test of Ramadan.

Ending Ramadan

as adopted from indianexpress.com

The end of Ramadan is marked by intense worship as Muslims seek to have their prayers answered during “Laylat al-Qadr” or “the Night of Destiny.” It is on this night, which falls during the last 10 nights of Ramadan, that Muslims believe that God sent the Angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad and revealed the first versus of the Quran.
Some devout Muslims go into reclusion those final days, spending all of their time in the mosque.
The end of Ramadan is celebrated by a three-day holiday called Eid al-Fitr. Children often receive new clothes, gifts and cash.
Muslims attend early morning Eid prayers the day after Ramadan. Families usually spend the day at parks and eating — now during the day.

CONCLUSION

As it is observed today, 68% of Muslims who have been faithful during the Ramadan period tend to Re-open their old ways of Life as that is what really suits them and has been their regular yearly routine.

According to What Ramadan is, Muslims are to completely forego all they have left before the Holy Month of Ramadan. Are You one of those who is surely going back to the Old lifestyle? Think!!!
