Hon Makinde Completes Training For Widows and Youths In Ondo.

Hon Abiola Peter Makinde, Member of the House of Representatives, representing Ondo East and West Federal Consistuency at the National Assembly has successfully completed training for widows and unemployed youths in Ondo. The training targeted over 120 widows and unemployed youths across both Ondo East and West local governments.

National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in conjunction with Kede integrated Resources limited under the initiative of Hon. Abiola Makinde, Member House of Representatives, representing Ondo East and West Constituency, in a two-day event held on Wednesday 17th, November and Thursday, 18th November, 2021, in the heart of town, which drew participants from the nook and crannies of Ondo ensured that the art of several crafts including wig-making, make-over, event planning, soap-making and interior decoration amongst others was imparted into them.

This program, just as one of his many programs which showcases WEALTH agenda campaign mantra,is aimed at alleviating and addressing the issue of unemployment, which is one of the greatest challenge we face as a Nation today. In the face of the reality of a harsh economy and rising unemployment, trainings such as this, have become critically important as they serve as a form of job creation on their own and would surely leave an indelible mark on those who were opportuned to be partakers.

Hon Makinde speaking at the conclusion of the event highlighted how important the training was especially for people seeking self-sustainance and was looking to get something started in their own little capacity. In his words, "This is not the first time we have trained youths, it was an integral part of our campaign and I am glad that training is not left out of what we constantly do for our people."

"Unemployment is one of the encumbrances that has bedeviled our youths for so long, it's high time we start looking away from white collar jobs and delve into alternatives such as agriculture and training for specialised crafts like this if sustainance must be achieved."

Hon Makinde also thanked his consistuents for making themselves available and has hinted that more programs are in the offing.

The agricultural empowerment program is aimed at boosting the economic standing of Ondo East/West Federal Constituency through agricultural revolution occasioned by the distribution of modern farming equipment and training on modern agricultural practise for greater yield.

Scriptural Text: Revelation 7 vs 13-17

"And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."

Religion / Happy Archangel Michael's Day by harkinyoung(m): 5:43am On Sep 29, 2016
SAINT MICHAEL

Holy Michael is our Patron and Defender of our faith whose Anniversary is celebrated every year date, September 29. The anniversary of Archangel Michael is celebrated worldwide from Cherubim and Seraphim to Catholics and celebrates the archangel who fought against Satan and all his evil angels, defending all the friends of God. Red is the colour of victory which is also our girdle

He is the protector of all humanity from the snares of the devil. The “prince of the heavenly host.” He is our strong warrior who fights our battles. His name appears in Scripture four times, twice in the Book of Daniel, where he defeated the prince of Persia and once each in the Epistle of St. Jude and the Book of Revelation. From Revelation we learn of the battle in heaven, with St. Michael and his angels combating Lucifer and the other fallen angels (or devils). We invoke St. Michael to help us in our fight against Satan; to rescue souls give victory and deliverance from all evil powers.

St Michael Prayer

“O Glorious Archangel St. Michael, Prince of the heavenly host, be our defense in the terrible warfare which we carry on against principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, spirits of evil. Come to the aid of man, whom God created immortal, made in His own image and likeness, and redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of the devil. Fight this day the battle of the Lord, together with the holy angels, as already thou hast fought the leader of the proud angels, Lucifer, and his apostate host, who were powerless to resist thee, nor was there place for them any longer in heaven. That cruel, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil or Satan who seduces the whole world, was cast into the abyss with his angels.

Behold, this primeval enemy and slayer of men has taken courage. Transformed into an angel of light, he wanders about with all the multitude of wicked spirits, invading the earth in order to blot out the name of God and of His Christ, to seize upon, slay and cast into eternal perdition souls destined for the crown of eternal glory.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who roam about the world, seeking the ruin of soruin Amen.

Song:

E dide Omo Ogun gbala, gbe oruko Jesu ga

Fun ojo nla ta ri l’oni ti Michael Balogun wa.

Bunch of retards wasting away the lives of these kids for selfish gain. Why not ask schools to be shut on Fridays too since there is no school on Sundays.
Muslims wear hijab 24hrs a day, do Christians wear robs everyday?

All these senseless competition is just stupid, why not let the kids compete in sports and debates

Fridays in which Muslim do their jumat 1-2 is always a free Time for all schools and exams go and cross check, universities, coe, and jamb don't fix exams to this time, from my side I think Sunday is part of weekend and not purposely for Christians to worship or is Saturdays for Christians as well? No we av 5 working days 2 to rest and all religions are respected in this aspect.

I think they are right, hijab is not part of the uniform if Muslims are known for covering their head a uniformed CAP should be provided for all student not even for Muslim student alone. Some Christians are known to covering their head as well

twoondei:

1. Most churches have evolved with the times, improved with the turn of events around them. The white garment churches won't.
2. I feel that every religious practise should be guided by biblical principles since that's supposed to be our 'manual'.
The wearing of the white garment, bare foot inside the church, rivers and water body attachments, even the act of going in a trance, unnecessary dependence on dreams and visions, and many others...
Quoted is the Cherubim and Seraphim doctrine and we cannot because of the development of worldly thing change what we belief in but we can only add value to it because they are all backed with our manual (bible) thou some will say some of them are in the old testament but if we are to condemn the old testament why do we pray from there?

Meanwhile the development of todays church(es) leads to what we r having in the life of our youth,
1. Pastors that will only encourage prosperity in church instead of preaching eternity
2. Pastors now encourage the wears of any clothes to their church (especially the wearing that can mislead the ministers of God) and many more
yet our bible is our manual.

Remember
1 Cor. 6:19 ..Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

and that Jesus did not come to destroy the Law of the prophet but to fulfil them Mathew 5:17

Bro. no matter your denomination, i belief we should all be one

Thanks

Religion / Why I Am A Cherubim And Seraphim by harkinyoung(m): 9:16pm On Apr 18, 2016
Why I am a Cherubim & Seraphim..........

Too many times I have been asked by people – colleagues at work, friends and acquaintances - why I worship at the Cherubim and Seraphim Church. The answer for me is very simple - I believe in the church, every mode of worship and activities work for me.

The hymns and songs are one crucial elements of this; I can die for some of the lyrics of some of our hymns. There is a song for every situation one is going through, hymns such as ‘Lo kede ayo na fun gbogbo aiye, p’omo olorun segun iku…’, ‘Eyin angeli to wa lorun, e fiyin fun baba…’, ‘N’irumi ati ji aiye, mogbo ohun itunu kan, o nso si mi leti wipe, emi ni mase beru…….’, ‘Adupe lowo olorun, to dawa si doni…’…and so on…and you still ask me why I attend this GREAT church;?

I was born and bred in this church, this is something I am so grateful for, a lot of people think that white garment churches connote fetishism and we all know that this is not true. I guess that the negative images on home videos do not help.

The white garment simplifies purity and uniformity. A friend once told me that he married a lady who attends the C & S and he said he always come to the church but will never put on the garment. One day, his brother had an issue with the immigration while visiting him and his wife in the UK, he then wore the garment and prayed to God saying ‘’if God lets his brother back home safely, he will forever wear the garment and attend C&S’’, his brother called him few a few hours after that prayer that he had been released. Ever since, my friend has been attending C&S and putting on the garment. He said to me one day that we that were born into the church do not know what we have - sadly, this is mostly true.

At times we take things for granted because we feel it’s always going to be there. The General overseer said something in one of he’s sermons to us at the Youth Fellowship, that we need to know how our heritage started especially that of our Great church so we won’t be challenged by outsiders about our faith/church and we will be found wanting.

The worst use of time and life is to work hard to climb the supposed ladder of success only to find out it is leaning against the wrong building. Hence, the main reason why we talk about heritage is because we don’t want to grow up to still be asking ‘’what am I doing in the white garment church’?” If we are climbing the ladder of success, we don’t want to get to the top before realizing there is success there, we ought to know it from the beginning. In the same light with the white garment, we should know from the onset why we are and doing here as Christians.

Regardless of what people think of the white garment, I want us as individuals to stand firm in what we believe in and not allow what others say affect our beliefs. I for one will not depart from this church, faith and personal convictions are what matter.

Let's keep representing Jesus as stated in Matthew 5:16
