Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ahmad Adamu Muazu, has said the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, should be elected in 2023 because he is the most detribalised of all the candidates.

At the inauguration of North Central executives and state coordinators, as well as the commissioning of the North Central secretariat of Project 60:23 for Atiku-Okowa in Jos, Plateau State, yesterday, he also said Atiku is one of the most tolerant Muslims known to him.

“Atiku is my friend, brother and colleague. He stands as the best among all candidates. He is physically and mentally capable, has the experience to be president and has served for eight years as the Vice President of Nigeria. I assure you, if you want Nigeria to stand as strong and united, then you must vote for Atiku Abubakar,” he said.

Muazu, who served as governor of Bauchi State from 1999 to 2007, said the 2023 election would reflect the true aspiration of Nigerians.
His words: “I want to beg all Nigerians, especially the youths, to deliver Atiku in your wards, local councils, states and the country overwhelmingly. This is a decisive moment. You must all stand to vote for Atiku because it is a matter of the future of Nigerians yet unborn and we must vote for Atiku for a secure country.”

According to him, the PDP presidential candidate is a man of great destiny, patience and courage.

He, however, commended the National Coordinator Project 60:23 for Atiku-Okowa, Kefas Ropshik, for his spirit of sportsmanship in politics, noting that even when he lost at the PDP governorship primary in Plateau, he kept working hard for the party to succeed

Atiku has made provisions to ensure no University goes on strike as special attention would be placed on the youths of the country as well as set aside funds to support youths who would want to go into entrepreneurship.”

“As long as you vote Atiku, hunger and unemployment will be a thing of the past. Remain focused, go from school to school, house to house and campaign for Atiku,” He urged the crowd.

In his address, the PDP Chairman, Iyorcha Ayu urged the Ondo PDP support not to make a mistake but do the right thing by voting Atiku in the coming election.

He said, “Ondo is a PDP state. You are educated and enlightened people and that is why you always vote the PDP.”

Ayu further noted that, “We must work together to ensure victory. Ondo should give the PDP the highest votes in southwest.”

“The country is in a bad shape, you need an experience leader to fix the country. Atiku and Obasanjo fixed the economy in 1999 and Atiku is coming back to fix the mess APC has created. He will unify the country, there will be jobs and security.”

Earlier Presidential campaign chairman of Ondo state told PDP supporters that Atiku is in the state “on a thank you visit for the massive support he got in the past from the state.”

Chairman President campaign council, Sokoto state governor, Gov Aminu Tambuwal also thanked the people of Ondo for the 2019 support and the warm reception.

He said, “we are kicking off our southwest campaign in Ondo for obvious reasons. We were robbed in 2019, but we must thank you for giving us ur mandate.

“Atiku Abubakar is the most qualified candidate who has all the credentials to deliver and so we urge you to come out and vote massively for us.

Newly elected governor of Osun state, Nurudeen Adeleke told the Ondo people that the same light that appeared in Osun has also come to Ondo.

He urged the people to vote for Atiku. He said,” Atiku took one of your daughter as wife. We must vote Atiku. If we vote Atiku, I can assure you that poverty will end in the Southwest. Please go all out and tell everyone from house to house that the light has come to Ondo state.

Akwa Ibom governor, Gov Udom said there is only one message from the PDP which is to recover the nation.

He said, “ we have something to show, we have done this before. When we were in power, things were different. PDP is the only party that can provide power supply, food on the table and security.”

The PDP has continued to witness massive turnouts at its rally as its campaign train continues to tour the country ahead of the 2023 general election.

PoliticsNigerians ‘ll Never Witness APC Beyond 2023 — Atiku by Hashimite733(op): 6:24pm On Nov 30, 2022
By Idowu Bankole

Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has promised to provide enough funds for education, praying that Nigerians will never witness a repeat of APC government beyond 2023, which he says brought untold hardship on Nigerians.
The PDP presidential candidate made this known at the party’s rally in Akure, Ondo state on Wednesday monitored by Vanguard.

He bemoaned the state of education in the country which he specifically blamed the ruling APC over what he described as poor policy which he vowed Nigerians would never witness a repeat beyond 2023 if he is voted for.

Earlier, Titi Atiku, wife of the PDP presidential candidate, a native of Ondo state, also addressed the mammoth crowd where she promised the Ondo people that her husband will defeat Boko Haram and provide scholarships to students.

She said, “my people I, your daughter standing in your presence to tell that my husband has done it before. The last election was won by my husband but we were robbed. My husband indeed is a Fulani but he is not a killer and we have been together. I taught him our culture and tradition, and he is part of us. During Obasanjo, it was Atiku that brought the likes of Elrufai, Ngozi Okonjo-iweala and others who did well for Nigeria”
On his agenda she said, “Atiku will defeat Boko Haram and provide you with scholarships”

On why they need to vote Atiku, she noted that “No Yoruba has ever been a First Lady and if we vote Atiku, it’s a vote for Yoruba. There is hunger in the land, don’t let the opposition deceive you, vote all PDP candidates during election.” She pleaded.
Delta state governor and Vice Presidential Candidate of the PDP, Ifeanyi Okowa thanked the party leaders and the thousands of Ondo youths present at the rally.

He said, “ in the past 8 months the youths were at home and that shouldn’t be the case.

PoliticsAtiku More Committed To Fix Nigeria Than Other Candidates – Wife by Hashimite733(op): 1:52pm On Nov 30, 2022
The Wife of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President and the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in the February 2023 election, Princess Rukayya, has told Nigerians that her husband is more committed to fixing the country than all other presidential candidates.
Princess Rukayya, who spoke at a PDP Women Summit in Lafia called on all Nigerians to massively vote for her husband.

According to her, Nigeria can still be great with the right person at the helm of affairs, despite the challenges it is currently facing

“Let me begin by saying thank you to everyone here for taking out the time to make the journey here. The fact that you are all here shows that you are committed to making our country great again.

“You are here because you all believe in what this country can be. In the face of war, you believe there can be peace. In the face of despair, you believe there can be hope. In the face of a politics that has repeatedly disappointed you, that has divided us for too long, you believe we can be one people. Let me tell you why I’m here today.
I have been privileged to have the front-row seat in the life of the man that you all fondly call Atiku Abubakar and I call my husband, and I can tell you without a doubt that I am yet to meet a more committed person or a better candidate. He has shown determination throughout his political career.

“He contested four times for the seat of the governor of former Gongola state now Adamawa and has contested in the past to be the President of our dear country. This only tells you that he is not a man afraid of failing. He is not a man consumed by fear.

He is a man driven by passion and the desire to give back to society. So I ask you, should we not support this man that is committed to making a better life for all of us? From me to you, I can promise you that should we get Atiku Abubakar in the presidential seat, we will ensure that our children get the proper education they deserve.

“The girl-child education is a priority for us. We will ensure to empower our women and children and keep the country safe. Our administration will provide job opportunities for our youths and get rid of poverty once and for all. We need your support and your votes to make these happen. So I implore you, do not listen to their lies. They have lied to us for 8 years and allowed us to suffer. Secure your children’s future by voting for PDP in the coming elections and let’s make our country great again”, she said.

KOGI GUBER: PDP alleges plan by INEC, APC to disqualfy Wada

The Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Organisation declared on Saturday the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, would win the 2023 presidential election on the first ballot.

The spokesman for the campaign organisation, Kola Ologbondiyan, stated this in a statement in Abuja.

The commission had concluded plans to print 187million ballot papers for the 2023 election.

The INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Abuja, said 93.5 million ballot papers would be used for the presidential election on February 25, 2023, while the remaining 93.5million ballot papers would be used for the run-off in case there was no clear winner in the election.

Ologbondiyan, however, told the commission not to bother itself with preparations for a runoff in the election.
He said: “Our campaign is confident that by every indices and data available, our candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will win the presidential election of February 25, 2023, at the first run.

“The APC has seen defeat ahead as Nigerians are quickly reaching a consensus on the fact that the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is not electable.

“We urge Nigerians to remain resolute in their determination to vote in their choice, Atiku Abubakar, and take every step necessary within the ambit of the law to protect their votes.”

Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, Director-General of Atiku Abubakar-Ifeanyi Okowa Presidential Campaign Management Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra says the party will win majority votes in the state.

“We are targeting not less than one million voters who will troop out en-masse on the day of election; cast their votes for the PDP and defend their votes,’’ Okonkwo said.

Okonkwo also said at a management meeting of the committee on Saturday in Awka that it had received reports on support groups working for the party in the state.

His pronouncements are contained in a statement issued after the meeting by Mr Uloka Chukwubuikem, Deputy Director, Media and Publicity, PDP Presidential Campaign Committee in Anambra.

He quoted Okonkwo as saying that the management committee was confident that the Anambra electorate would give the majority of their votes to PDP as had been the pattern since 1999.

According to him, the committee has received reports from the deputy director for volunteer and support groups that more than 200 support and volunteer groups in the state have been harmonised.

The support and volunteer groups have a combined membership of more than 500,000 across the 5,720 polling booths in the state, he said.

“Mr Onyebuchi Offor, deputy director of the volunteer groups, confirmed that more are still rooting for the Atiku Abubakar presidency in the state and that mobilisation is ongoing.
Apart from the already harmonised 200 self-funding groups, there are hosts of other volunteer groups that are rooting for PDP’s presidential candidate.

“We have remained a PDP state even when there’s another party at the state level, but the people have continued to vote for a national party with the spread and capacity to win the presidency,’’ Okonkwo also said.

He said the grassroots-based support groups cutting across the 326 electoral wards in Anambra would drive the message of unity and hope to the people and make them to vote for its presidential candidate.

He said apart from being nationally accepted, PDP parades an array of quality candidates from the president to the House of Assembly “which is what is important to Nigerians at this time.

“It is obvious that our people have begun to give credence to our message; they have taken note of the fact that an Atiku Abubakar presidency is inevitable given the realities on the ground; so Anambra will vote PDP,’’ Okonkwo stressed.

PoliticsAtiku Remains Shortest Route To Igbo Presidency’ by Hashimite733(op): 6:46am On Nov 26, 2022
The Deputy Director, Media and Publicity, and Liaison Officer of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Management Committee in Anambra State, Mr Uloka Chukwubuikem, has said that the shortest route for Igbo presidency is voting for the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the 2023 general elections.

He stated this while fielding questions from journalists in Awka on Wednesday, adding that the decision to align with Atiku is not for selfish gain, but for the collective interest of the South East and Ndi-Igbo after the elections.

According to him, any region that wants to be president in Nigeria must belong to the two dominant parties in the country, which he said are the PDP and the All Progressives Congress, stressing that they both have strong alliances with other regions in the country.

He said, “With Atiku Abubakar and Senator Ifeanyi Okowa’s joint ticket looking probable and their victory mostly inevitable in 2023, we will be vindicated and our people will see reasons to appreciate our stand and commitment with the PDP when the gains and rewards for our today’s decision begin to manifest.

“In Anambra State, we have consistently professed optimism about Atiku and the PDP being the shortest feasible route for an Igbo presidency in view of the present realities on the ground.

“This may be difficult to accept for certain people in the South East for the time being, but it remains the only logical path for an Igbo political renaissance in Nigeria and easy election to the presidency in the next four to eight years.

“It’s comprehensible that our people are demanding an Igbo presidency in 2023, and while we all agree that such demand is morally right and timely, it’s also crucial that we try to convince ourselves that the South East and Ndi-Igbo currently place much greater emphasis on having our region reconnected to the national grid, having genuine reconciliation, and forging strategic alliances with other regions of the country.”

PoliticsMuslim-muslim Ticket: I’m APC Member But Atiku Has My Support – Babachir Lawal by Hashimite733(op): 7:07am On Nov 25, 2022
By Biodun Busari

Former Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF), Babachir Lawal has said he will not support the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu in the presidential election in 2023 as a result of the same faith ticket.

Lawal, an APC chieftain, said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar agreed to what the Northern Christians wanted and will have his support
Ex-SGF made this known in a recent interview with the BBC, saying he and others backed Tinubu to win the primary election, but they later realised he had been hiding his decision to pick a Muslim running mate from them.

Lawal reiterated he is no longer supporting the former Lagos state governor and APC will lose the presidential election.
He said, “I am not for Bola Tinubu now. I am not for a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

“It is Bola who did not want to go with us, he chose where he wants to go, and we told him that we will not vote for him if he did a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
PDP (Peoples Democratic Party) discussed with us and they agreed to do what we want if we support them and we agreed to support them.”

PDP opted for a Muslim-Christian ticket as the former Vice President Atiku chose Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as his running mate.

Lawal disclosed that the Labour Party tried so much to convince him and other aggrieved members to work for the party.

He added, “You see the problem of the northerners, if you say you are a Christian, it is difficult for us to get a job.

“You see, of the 27 universities in the north, there are only two Christian VCs and of 27 polytechnics there are only two Christian rectors, that’s federal, but not to talk of state-owned.”

Babachir complained that the ‘discrimination’ shown to Christians in the North is too much for them, “and you still went ahead to do Muslim-Muslim ticket; that is double blows on us.”

When asked whether they tried to reach Tinubu to discuss the issue, he said, “No, he is the one to look for us now, I will not look for him. We have a place to go and a place to stay. But he didn’t look for us.

“If he sees that he will win the election, let see how he will win the election.”

He insited that he is still in the APC but he and his cronies would not support Tinubu.

Speaking on that he might be accused of anti-party conduct, the ex-government scribe said he was worried even if he would be insulted.

“If Buhari leaves politics, I will also leave because I joined politics because of him,” he added.

PoliticsS’south Governors Restate Support For Atiku-okowa, Upbeat On Truce With G5 by Hashimite733(op): 4:42pm On Nov 24, 2022
Governors in South South geopolitical zone have reaffirmed their support for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

Speaking to reporters at Government House, Yenagoa, shortly after a meeting of four of the governors – including Okowa (Delta State), Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Godwin Obaseki (Edo) and Douye Diri (Bayelsa) – Okowa said the governors were determined to deliver their party in next year’s presidential election.

He said issues involving their party’s G-5 Governors, led by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, were being addressed. He said the PDP presidential candidate and the five other governors would meet soon.

“We believe that we are one family. There are still issues and they are being attended to. Very soon, there will be a meeting between the presidential candidate with the G-5 Governors.

“They are part of the family and we are not going to allow them go. So, obviously, everything is being put in place to reconcile all differences and move together as a family,” he said.

Diri described the South South as a stronghold of the PDP, saying the party would emerge victorious at all levels in next year’s general election. He said: “I can only say, on behalf of the government and people of Bayelsa State, we appreciate the South South governors.

“As my brother, the Governor of Edo has stated, we are one. In the family, there are always disputes. Those disputes do not separate us. We will resolve them and we’ll continue to push on as one.

“South South is a PDP region. It is a place where no other party can contend, except PDP. I assure you that in all the elections, from the presidency to the governorship, the national assembly and the state assembly, PDP will, again, triumph.”

In his remarks, Obaseki said they were in the state to show support to the government and people of Bayelsa over recent floods that ravaged the state.

He said their support for the Atiku-Okowa ticket is sacrosanct and they would do all within their powers to unite the party and go into the election strong and united.

PoliticsAtiku Rekindles Balewa’s Memories In Gombe#atikuthemanforthejob by Hashimite733(op): 8:46am On Nov 23, 2022
Pledges to stop B’Haram, revive Dadin Kowa Dam for agric
Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, rekindled memories of Nigeria’s former Prime Minister, the late Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, as he promised to restore the glory of the North East, as done by Balewa, if elected president.

He also promised to revive ailing and moribund infrastructure established by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, including the Dadin Kowa Dam and various roads connecting Gombe State to other parts of the country.

Speaking at the PDP presidential campaign in Gombe State, yesterday, the PDP flagbearer alleged that most of the infrastructure put in place to strengthen the state’s economy was abandoned by the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.
“Here in Gombe, I will ensure that we give businessmen the support to initiate industries that will give youths, both male and female, jobs. “

It was the PDP that built the Dakin Kowa Dam to provide power to the North East and give farmers the opportunity to farm and create wealth and jobs in Gombe, if you give me the mandate,” he said.

Atiku also assured that his administration would enhance farming, for farmers to have the opportunity to farm in all seasons.

“Gombe, Bauchi, Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states are inter-connected; therefore, I will ensure that we build roads to enable smooth trip within these states and ensure commerce thrives.

“All these pledges I made cannot be actualised without peace. I promise to return peace to Gombe. I will wipe out Boko Haram. Boko Haram is nothing. We have wiped out Boko Haram in Adamawa; what will stop us from wiping out Boko Haram in Borno or Yobe or anywhere they are in this country? Therefore give us the mandate,” Atiku said.

The Director-General of PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation (PCO), Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, in his remarks, assured that Gombe would regain its strong commercial status, if the party is elected into power in 2023.

Tambuwal said: “We know that the Wazirin Adamawa is here at home in Gombe. When the PDP gets to power in 2023, Atiku will ensure security, peace in Gombe and Nigeria at large.

“We know that Gombe is a commercial centre. We shall ensure development and commerce in Gombe and the country at large. Youths will get jobs in the country. Farming will be revitalised in the country as a whole. I know the people of Gombe know this, which is the agenda of his government, if elected.”

PoliticsG-5 Govs’ Meeting Disrupted In Lagos, Amid Chant Of Atiku! Atiku! Atiku! by Hashimite733(op): 7:50am On Nov 22, 2022
Some aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by a group of five governors of the party (G-5), were yesterday embarrassed in Lagos, as their gathering was interrupted by PDP faithful in the state, who sang songs in support of the party’s presidential candidate and former vice president, Atiku Abubakar.

Nonetheless, the dissenters, who rebranded themselves as Integrity Group, reiterated their readiness for reconciliation with PDP and Atiku, whose emergence as presidential candidate and subsequent choice of running mate had formed the crux of their grievance.
The state PDP members exposed the group’s alleged plan to undermine the presidential aspiration of the party’s candidate and insisted that Atiku was their choice candidate for 2023.

One of the PDP members at the meeting, Kunle Folorunsho, who narrated what happened in a video clip that went viral, said the meeting, which was at the instance of Chief Olabode George, commenced with the former deputy national chairman of the PDP revealing a plot to undermine his party.

Folorunsho said George had told the meeting that they would only vote for Senate and House of Representatives candidates of the party and would have nothing to do with the presidential and governorship elections. He said it was at this point he raised an objection that the party had a presidential candidate in the person of Atiku and that he was the one they would vote for.

Folorunsho said hardly had he finished expressing his thoughts than supporters of George, sporting special Tee-shirts, descended on him and tore his clothes, but he was rescued by others rooting for Atiku, who fought back.
As the governors, also called Integrity Group, and the others made to leave in their vehicles, according to Folorunsho, the crowd outside the venue of the meeting held at George’s office on Lugard Avenue, Ikoyi, started chanting “Atiku…Atiku…Atiku”, a clear message to George and co that Lagos might be impenetrable for their anti-party activities.

The G-5 and other aggrieved PDP leaders had met for over three hours, pondering their options.

The Integrity Group members at the meeting included Governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers State; Seyi Makinde of Oyo State; Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State; Samuel Ortom of Benue State; and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.
Former governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, who spoke for the group, said, “We are still standing with the decision in our last meeting in Port Harcourt, where we declared that we are still open to reconciliation.”

The group is demanding that National Chairman of PDP, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, should step down and be replaced by a southerner for balance of power in the party, since the presidential candidate, Atiku, is a northerner. They have also decided to stay off the PDP presidential campaign until their demands were met.
Apart from the five governors, others at the meeting included Senator Olaka Nwogu; Senator MAO Ohuanbuwa; Hon. N. Ikeje; Senator Nasir Suleiman; Senator Sandy Onor; Malam B. Adoke; Olusegun Mimiko; Ayo Fayose; Donald Duke; Bode George; PDP Deputy National Chairman (South), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja; National Vice Chairman (South-south), Chief Dan Orbih; and former PDP governorship aspirant in Osun State, Omoba Dotun Babayemi.

PoliticsWhy We Should Vote Atiku In 2023 by Hashimite733(op): 4:49pm On Nov 16, 2022
Vote for Atiku because Buhari just proposed a ₦20.5 trillion budget. Of that amount, ₦8.8 trillion will be borrowed, which will bring Nigeria’s debt to ₦50 trillion. Only the Obasanjo administration has ever paid off Nigeria’s debt. And Atiku headed that National Economic Council. In 2023, Nigeria needs a debt payer, not a debt taker!
None of the other candidates has that experience. None whatsoever. I admire what Tinubu achieved in Lagos. He is probably Nigeria’s best Governor ever. But he left behind a massive debt that is still growing. Obi also left debt behind in Anambra. Only Obasanjo/Atiku left a surplus of almost $65 billion (Foreign Reserves, Excess Crude Account, and other savings) behind.

I do admit that both Tinubu and Obi have some redeeming virtues. But let us face facts, they were both regional players. One in Lagos, the other in Anambra. Only Waziri Atiku has national and global experience. With the damage done by the All Progressives Congress, do we need learners on the job?
That is why he chose his running mate as and when due, while others were choosing placeholders. That is why he completed his Campaign Council, while others have still not finished theirs. What more proof do you need that he can and will hit the ground running from day one? Do not forget that part of the reason Nigeria went into a recession in 2016 is because for the first 6 months after he was sworn in, Buhari had no cabinet.

When you need a pilot to fly a plane through stormy weather, you certainly will not want a pilot who says ‘I know how to fly’. No! You will want one who can say ‘I have flown before!’
Atiku has flown before. He has been in charge of Nigeria in the past. Atiku was in charge of Nigeria when then President Obasanjo traveled to Namibia, and Ngige was abducted on July 10, 2003? It was Atiku. Atiku ORDERED Tafa Balogun, the then IGP, to restore Ngige to power!

We need a President who can get us out of our debt crisis, and has the national and global experience to attract foreign direct investment to Nigeria, and the clout to restore law and order to a nation facing almost nationwide disorder. Nigeria needs Atiku in 2023.
If we make the same mistake we made years back we still gonna suffer
So vote atiku if u want Nigeria to be great again.

PoliticsRe: All Nigeria Is Saying In 2023 Is ATIKU Should Come And Rescue This Country For U by Hashimite733: 1:03pm On Nov 13, 2022
Atiku have always been the man for Nigeria
We can't vote the 2 self centered persons
Who One wants to rule because it is his turn to rule (the last time I checked nigeria is not monarchial in nature)
While the other one wants to rule because he feels or his people want him to rule because of their selfish interest( Nigeria is way too bigger than that)
Apc has done alot of damage to Nigeria which we need someone with high intellectual and business mind to take us to a better place and atiku is the right person
